We just happened to be in the area and noticed this Music store, so I had to stop in and check them out. The young lady working here was very friendly and welcoming, she even assisted with helping locate what I was looking for. They have a good variety of instruments and accessories of most well known brands. -Instruments available: Guitars, Basses, Clarinets, Obos flutes, recorders, electric keyboards, French horns, trumpets, bongos and more. Accessories: Plenty of replacement string varieties, picks, capos, instrument and sheet music stands, reeds, tuners, effects pedals, instrument and speaker cables and so much more. They also have a great selection of music books here for all the instruments I just mentioned. The book selection is heavy in progressive learning (which is a plus for the learning musician) some notable publishers are Alfred Schirmer, and Faber. I found a great selection of advanced books like Chopin's Ballads, Bachs Well Tempered Claviar, and Beethoven's Sonata's. In my opinion there are not enough Rock, Classic Rock, or Metal Books- I only found one Journey book for Piano/Guitar and the 50 best rock songs book which didn't have the 50 best as far as I'm concerned. Some Jazz and Blues and a lot of Modern Pop like Taylor Swift and such. The store was very clean and organized The only area that could use a little more organization is the book shelves. Regardless, I ended up finding one in the mix. I picked out an into to Debussys piano music ($12+) which also comes with a real CD inside. For whatever reason, you can't find these books online with the CD included anymore, just a link to a site with MP3 files. I prefer having the CD so, I really appreciate that this store carries these books, I will be back for more. Their staff perform instrument repair services, and provide music lessons as well. The store is currently offering a discount where if you buy four guitar lessons you get a free guitar with the course (learner acoustic); I'm not sure of the price, but if it's in $150-$200 range that's not bad. It's hard to find a half decent guitar for that nowadays. All-in-all, great music shop right here in Sanford, I love supporting local, so we will be back. read more

He took the time to explain to me about the violin instructors available at the facility that could further advance my granddaughter's musical abilities. Blown away by the customer service we received last night from Alex L!!! He was truly super inviting and professional. I heard him welcome 4-5 customers as they walked in the door as well as a quick "Can I help you find something?" So that they wouldn't wait around while Alex assisted us. Super awesome! His personality truly shines! He is a breath of fresh air. One of the music instructors had wrapped up his evening and offered us some amazing tips and so much knowledge. I'm so disappointed! I made a trip to this store for my birthday yesterday, because I really don't have a great music store in my area that has a decent flute selection. I've recently taken up the flute up again, after a 30 year hiatus, and I used to be quite good, so I wanted something decent. The staff was nice enough. Felicity showed me a few flutes, I tried them out, and I decided on a Yamaha YFL-462 Intermediate Flute with the Offset G C-Foot. I played it, fell in love with it, and decided to take advantage of their no-interest finance promo. The flute was priced at $1249, so that payment would be totally manageable for me. I filled out the credit paperwork and got all that taken care of. While checking me out, Felicity said that the flute wasn't coming up correctly in the system, and there was a price discrepancy. She went in the back and spoke to the manager and when she returned, informed me that the flute was marked incorrectly and was actually $2000!! Seriously!? That's almost DOUBLE the price she originally told me. She briefly apologized for the inconvenience and went on to say that if I didn't want that one, she could show me some others! I was so surprised by this incident that I just said "no thanks" and left. To me, THIS IS A BIG DEAL. How unprofessional to have your merchandise incorrectly marked, especially a valuable item like this....but what seems even worse to me was the nonchalant way this was handled. I emailed the manager right when I got home, and then received a confirmation stating that my message was received and would be responded to within the day. I'll update this review if I hear back, but as of right now, 30 hours later, I haven't heard anything. Overall, the staff was nice enough, but the whole experience just gave me a bad taste in my mouth. So unprofessional. So disappointing. read more

My family signed up for Guitar lessons and everything was fine until today. We arrived and the instructor had on a mask and looked under the weather. My wife was in the room about to take lessons and she asked if he was okay, he said he was sick. She sat for a moment and said, do you have a cold and he reluctantly said no, I have COVID. The instructor said they could reschedule if they were uncomfortable. I asked the guy at the register if he knew that the instructor had COVID and he said yes. I said why are you allowing people to take lessons in that small room when you know that the instructor has COVID? He said HR said it was okay. Wow, that is crazy, HR said it was okay. So it is permissible to expose people to a potentially life threatening virus because HR said it was okay. I asked for the manager, her name is Rebecca, he said she was out and he does not know her schedule. I will be contacting Rebecca asking to cancel all future lessons and to refund my money. If they have such little regard for their clients and their health I do not wish to do business with them. read more

I needed to get some school band equipment and even though this place looked tiny, it literally had every item I needed. I was really surprised as I had a failed attempt at ordering a music book off of Amazon, and this place had it in stock. This is a small store, but it seems to have everything, and it is very clean and organized. It took me two seconds to find the three obscure items I was looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and was even very nice to the most annoying kid in the world that was banging nonstop like a wild banshee on the display drums. A+ read more

Today, I went to a Music and Arts store at 1673 WP Ball Blvd, Sanford, FL 32771. And experienced the worst service possible. Prior to my visit I called the store to ask if they can assist with Tuning a viola that was purchased from another retailer. The gentlemen told me that I can come in and they would help me. I had told him the brand and the specifics of my sons instrument before coming in. I arrive at the store and a store employee named MARK was assisting another customer and asked my son, how long he played the viola, when my son answered 3 years, he blatantly stated, you don't know how to Tune your own instrument? I told him the strings were off the instrument and We needed assistance, He then said He can't help us without looking at the Viola, because of the brand of the Viola. He then went on and stated that the Viola is garbage in front of customers and that I have two options, I can return it or go to my backyard and burn it. This was farmost the Worst service I have ever received at your establishment. I've rented two years in a Row from Music and Arts. And was so frustrated with the level of service I received. I felt like his remarks were a bit racist towards me and my son. I would strongly advise someone to investigate this individual. read more

Second time this has happened. I dropped off a trumpet for a repair estimate and was told the wait would be a few days. A week and a half later I hadn't heard back and so called the store myself. The trumpet was still waiting to be seen. Give it a few more days. Another week passed and I heard nothing so I called again. Still waiting to be seen. I finally heard back a week later that my trumpet had been repaired and was waiting to be picked up. Repaired? I'd never even received the estimate! Thankfully it was only $21. I stopped in to pick to up and advise the situation with the fact I wouldn't be returning. They had the audacity to tell me someone tried to call and leave a message over 3 weeks ago, only 2 days after I dropped it off. Ummm, false! No message here. Ridiculous. Take responsibility for the mistake. But even so, I can forgive a mistake like this once. However, this was the second time something like this has happened. A pattern is forming. I won't be back. Customer service is very important and falsifying info in a computer is as well. read more

We dropped off my 11 year old daughter's trumpet for a tune-up a week before school started. D'oh! I didn't expect it to be ready in time because everyone was doing the same thing. To my happy surprise they called after only 6 days and said it was ready. The brass guys stayed over the weekend and lake to make sure all the kids' instruments were ready to go. Went in the store to look at a Les Paul guitar. Spoke with Mark who was very helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing one from them as the price was right. They didn't have my color I wanted in the store so he ordered one for me. Mark said it would be about a week. He later gave me the tracking number as I had it shipped to the store. The guitar came in in five days. The guitar was in great shape and glad I found a nice store close to home!! read more
