Then, one morning someone (who never identified herself as an employee of the mall) told us that we couldn't stand and look in the doorway of a room that was vacant, and had their door open to the walkway. We were insulted, then continued on our walk. About a week later two security/management staff approached us and told us that we were banned from Montclair Place for a year, due to the communication. There was no follow-up, phone call or written letter, even after it was asked for. By the way, we never made a complaint about the situation to the management office because we thought it would be petty and I'm only writing this review because I received an email from Yelp asking if I would review the Montclair Plaza. !!!!

The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). We enjoyed walking, talking and exploring all the additional vendors and also the people (and dog) watching was top notch. Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Whether you come here to dine, shop or just hang out and enjoy the weather with others, this place is a solid choice.

Businesses at this center include: Citibank, Trader Joe's, Boca Burger, The Spot, Bucca Di Beppo, Candlelight Pavillion Theater (definitely check out their preview nights for a great deal on their shows) and the Double Tree Hotel. But I wished there were some more eateries here for places to hang out with friends or other cool places to hang out at. There are several parking lots around this center with plenty of parking. But just be aware that the only parking lot that has a time limit is the one in front of Trader Joe's (45 minutes and I believe is enforced). This center is pretty well spread out, would have been nice if the businesses were closer to each other. But still a nice place to check out if you find yourself out in this part of LA County.

What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you're already here, might as well enjoy malls before more of them perish.

Lowes, Ayres Hotel, Corner Bakery Café, Wahoo's Fish Taco, The Boiler, Arby's, Hobby Lobby, BJ's Brewhouse, Dave's Hot Chicken, Tastea, Pho Mai, Yogurtland, Ray's Duck House, and so much more. Lots of free parking available. The next time I'm in the Chino Hills area, I'll have to try out Corner Bakery Cafe and Wahoo's Fish Tacos maybe even The Boiler. I have been to Crossroads Marketplace in Chino Hills from time to time primarily for Costco, Costco…read moreGas (huge space with 32 gas pumps!), Tasty Spot Cafe (previously known as Delicious Food Corner), Thaitwist, Meet Fresh, 85 Bakery, Dollar Tree, and a few other restaurants that I can't seem to remember their biz names right now. This marketplace is located at the heart of Chino Hills Trade area. It's on the north side of the city with easy access to two major freeways, SR 60 and SR-71. Besides the businesses mentioned above, other major tenants include Lowe's, PetSmart, America's Tire, UPS, GNC, Coldstone, Wendy's, etc. There is also a section that's going through a redevelopment phase due to businesses that have closed down within the last couple years. I don't live near the Chino Hills area, but I am always open to venturing out to different cities and seeing what they have to offer especially for dining. This marketplace offers quite a bit. I look forward to seeing more of its expansion. May it bring lots of revenue for the City of Chino Hills. Thank you Crossroads Marketplace!
