Asked for a pork/jamon free omlette in Spanish and was given a ham and cheese omlette. Chicken parilla was dry, flavorless and inedible. Don't eat there (!!!), ordered two Pork Shoulder sandwiches w. fries. Fries were lukewarm and from the bottom of the barrel, like a day old. We ordered a plate of "picada" the price $600 pesos as well as the "parrilla or bbq" how they will charge so much for a picada that looks so poor that even a dog at the street didn't want to have a bite. She we asked the waiter he said "is the price at the menu with bad actitud. . In any other place in Buenos Aires will serve a picada for no more than $300 and huge plate of variety of ham, cheese, etc etc The picada here was disgusting! I'm an Argentine raised in the U.S - do not eat here! Stopped in for lunch and tango show. It's not worth the money. Paid 1060.00 pesos total for a small sirloin steak (285.00), small wine (250.00), bottom of the tray french fries, crumbs and all (160.00) and a small house salad that was more of an onion and carrot salad (215.00). This also included a 100.00 table-service charge (50 pesos each) AND an extra 10% fee tacked on at the end for good measure (50 pesos). Tango dancers were entertaining but make their money off tips so after each 20 minute set they come around with a basket... I get it... they need to work, but it was tacky. What really upset me was when the staff made fun of two East Asian ladies for what I believe was an issue with the check. (As an Argentine I was appalled and embarrassed that they would treat tourists this way) A few of the waiters and one of the two tango couples chuckled and made faces at the situation (behind the customers' backs of course). The manager, (maybe owner) was obviously angry at whatever had transpired and was completely unprofessional in his conduct. In fact, as we were leaving he and an unhappy customer were having a very VERY loud argument over the food that was served. The customer is definitely never right in this joint. I had a sirloin steak while the wife while the wife had a flank steak. I also had an order of fries and an order of chorizo. The food was ok, steak lacking a little bit of flavor but otherwise texture and quality good. Fries were also a little bland and soggy. The chorizo was very good though. The waiter took our order but didn't write anything down. Usually it takes a bit of skill to remember so many customers orders and details so I assumed he had it all memorized. Comes back about 20 min later and asks what kind of steak I ordered. Strike 1. Food comes and then later we finish. He brings me the check and explains that the only thing not included is the tip. I notice an unexplained 10% on the bill and ask him about it. He says it's some type of city tax. I'm not from here and have yet to be charged this "city tax" at other restaurants but either way I'm powerless to argue against it. Because his service was adequate at best i gave him about 8% of tip. As far as i know, whether here or other restaurants the tip is earned, and not an obligation set in stone. When he saw the amount he was adamant I owed more, like 11% instead of what I left him. I told him why he was demanding a tip, especially a fixed amount. He insisted that was the norm and not paying that amount was basically the equivalent of not paying my bill. Again, being in a foreign country I'm powerless against arguing this point and feel this has been humiliating enough. I gave him his tip and left. So avoid the patronage of a business whose product is mediocre at best and whose staff, and perhaps management is dishonest at worst. read more

Fabulous dancers, nice singer, terrible food, exceptionally high prices. The atmosphere, music, and dancing were wonderful and memorable. The food was bland, skimpy and overpriced. The $18 mini steak, for example, did not even have a piece of lettuce underneath. Fees include a cover charge per person, a tip for the waiter, optional tips for the performers, and a 10 percent charge for sitting outside. Don't ever come here! We order parrilla and ended up getting some type of rice in curry w seafood that costed double the price than the parrilla. We unfortunately had to stick with the disgusting curry. We also ordered salad that was frozen and rotten lettuce. The table next to us ordered ravioli n messed up his order as well. They really should write down customers order on a piece of paper than trying to act smart remember everyone's order. The food took over 30minutes when we were the first guest there. The tango dancers were very good until they come up to you when eating asking for tip. They don't leave unless you tip. One dancer said "why so little tip". We asked for the bill but still had to pay for the salad that we did not touch. We spoke to the manager and he didn't give a FUCK. We still had to pay for the service charge which is stupid.
