Gee how good is this place! My dining buddy went back for seconds despite this being a quick lunch…read more The pies were excellent. So how do you eat your pie? If it survives my dissection and eating process it is a goodun' The top came off in one flakey piece. The pepper meat filling was mildly peppery and filled the case. That is the bit I eat first, then the casing and finally the top. Beautiful. The dining buddy's seconds was an American chilli beef. I got a bit of a lookin with that one and it was good too. We finished with an iced coffee and it was bloody good too. Disadvantages of the place is that you could find yourself sitting in a draughty walkway and finding a park is a challenge. It is definitely worth the effort to give it a try

Cakes, Pies, Tarts, Quiches and more Cakes!…read more When in need of a cake you know who to call....The Cake Man! (insert superhero theme) This place has a lot and i mean lots of varieties of cakes, pies, tarts etc. On one side you have the coffee area and mini cakes etc on the opposite end they have the cakes for birthdays and other special occasions. The seating area is along side the arcade and at the back of the store. They serve hot pies and sausage rolls as well as small quiches or family sized quiches for those quick dinner nights. Order and pay at the counter if you would like to dine in. They will hand you a table number and bring out your food/coffee. Can be a bit slow if there is queue waiting to be served but staff are friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful loose leaf raspberry rosehip tea, but I had to laugh when my cheese toasty with chicken was delivered--it was exclusively cheap cheddar on whole wheat with white meat chicken, exactly like something my grandmother might have served me when I was small. My friend had the loose leaf eucalyptus tea and ordered the quinoa and kale breakfast, but ten minutes later was told they were out of quinoa. She asked for extra avocado to replace it, which they happily supplied, but it was cute because all of the ingredients were separated out on the plate so nothing would touch. Our two meals cost $39 altogether. The service here is unusually quick and friendly--they turn over the tables at an astounding rate and you pay up front on your way out the door. I would gladly come back for cake and coffee (they have a wide array of sweets and I bet they're good!) but might skip out on doing a full fledged meal again.
