I asked for an extra ramekin, which the wait staff kindly brought. The BBQ sauce is unique and makes use of bright orange rind and juice to punch up the flavor. The corn was seasoned just right. There is enough food on the "plate," a cutting board, for two to have a large meal. I ordered tea to drink to soothe my sore throat. Tea was served in the cutest little tea pot and was very tasty. I tried a sip of the stout. I will definitely be getting that next time. It was phenomenal! (If you go for just beer, I'd give that 5 stars). The stout had smooth chocolate notes and drank like a delicious cuppa cocoa.

Red Zebra have a large range of fine ales, wines and spirits, and offer more than your regular off-licence. The owner is very knowledgeable, and will give advice on which wine to choose for a particular occasion, or to suit someone else's tastes. They have just started offering tasting evenings, with a different selection of wines or other drinks at each evening, a great opportunity to taste something you may not have tried before.

We had advised friends to try the restaurant and they went the same week and they were also beyond unimpressed. Today we went for lunch, I found little on the menu that interested me and decided on the "famous fish pie". Incredible salty and not good in terms of quality or taste. The service in a lot of these places is sub standard, as if the staff don't want to be there. The majority may be family and tied in to the shop, making matters worse. Regardless, Manor Wines is a fairly decent place to go, if you're looking to buy a few beers or a cheap bottle of wine, then I would recommend swinging by if you're close enough, I wouldn't say it's worth a journey though, I must admit.

The pub covers two floors and several designated areas, so you can find a moderately quiet spot even if it's busy - which it frequently is. There's also a smoking area to the back on the ground floor. Superior pub grub is available throughout the day, plus several "small plate" options for lunchtime. Of these I chose the small cod & chips and the 3-egg cheese omelette - both were tasty and well-prepared, at UKP 5 each. The food was served fairly quickly, despite the fact that a party of "suits" were already marauding the premises at the time. The décor I found appealing, and the staff friendly and nimble on their feet. Warmly recommended for Lichfield!

They also like to play ther indy/rock music loud so people passign by will notice it! They have a nice outside area by the church which have some heaters with it so smokers will be happy enough! It will also mean the pub will be less cramped! Sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit and the toilets are proper dirty and can be very off putting!
