The show started at 730 with people still looking for their seats! If you can't be on time for an event then sorry, your consequence is to miss part of the show! The main rink has lots of chair-back seating and is more than enough for the crowds that minor hockey typically draws. The production of the game itself was pretty good, not unlike any junior or lower-level minor hockey game. The price of admission ($10) is more than fair for an evening of entertainment. There were concessions available outside in the large lobby area, but I didn't test anything out this time. Parking is plentiful and there are several entrances on all sides of the building. If you park at the wrong entrance for the program you're attending, you could be in for a long walk. All in all, a gem of a facility that Brantford should be proud of. If you're in need of something to do, a 99ers game is definitely worth your while.

The main facility is this 5,500-seat stadium, which itself is part of the Memorial Recreation Park athletic and recreation complex in Port Huron, Michigan. This classic venue is home to the Port Huron Northern High School and Port Huron High School football teams. In addition, there are is a 27-acre (11 ha) complex of tennis courts, four baseball fields, four softball fields, several football fields, and a quarter-mile track. The complex was built in 1945 and is dedicated to the men and women of Port Huron who served in World War II. Recently renovated, this old girl has aged well, and remains one of my favorite places to see football in the fall. Ticket…read moreprices are a reasonable $10, and once you get inside the stadium you have a few seating choices: several bleachers next to the home and away dugouts, bringing your own chair and sitting in the grass down the first base foul line, or in a covered seating area behind home plate (which is a lifesaver during a hot summer day). Game presentation is high quality, on par with the typical minor league experience. If you're in Guelph, or anywhere close by, it's worth the drive out to catch a game.
