Pay attention to the multiple 1 star reviews. They are there for a reason!…read more I saw Dr. Bhandari on a Friday morning for a complete physical, (blood work, urinalysis, etc) The FOLLOWING Monday morning, I called the office to inquire about having a cardiac calcium score test done, and to ask if I would I need a referral? The nurse said she would "message" the Dr. with my request and get back with me. I waited several days with no return call. I called back, and spoke to the nurse again. She said that she had told Dr. Bhadari about my request for an additional test/ referral and Dr. Bhadari said I would need to come back to be "evaluated". Wait, what?!? I reminded her nurse that I had JUST been there and had a complete physical. I asked "what else did Dr. Bhadari need to "evaluate"? The nurse said she didn't know, and would "message" the Dr. and get back with me. After a week with no response back, I called again still wanting to know what needed to be evaluated. (Just to be clear, I wasn't questioning the NEED for an evaluation, I just wanted to know WHAT specifically was going to be evaluated). The nurse informed me that Dr. Bhadari refused to answer my question, and told the nurse to "stop messaging her about it, and the only way my question would ever get answered was to set up an appointment and come in to see her." I don't know about you, but taking time off from work is not something I can do willy nilly. It seems to me Dr. Bhadari is more concerned with drumming up charges, than patient relationship. I have but 2 regrets: The first was going to Dr. Bhadari. The 2nd is taking so long to post my review.

I had grand mal seizures during the last trimester of both pregnancies. I was not in Knoxville at the time. The first time I met her she recommended that I change seizure medications and I regret not making the change until 14 years later. She is very thorough. Dr. Sevilla is the opposite of many doctors. Several other doctors are looks like a horse, sounds like a horse, must be a horse. Dr. Sevilla will test to make sure it is not a zebra. She is very data driven and has never been wrong. I have been seizure free since 1991 with her care and guidance. If you need warm and fuzzy, she is not the doctor for you. I have been her patient for over 30 years and wouldn't have any other doctor. I am so blessed that she kept me as her last internal medicine patient after moving to primarily headache medicine.

I have never left a physician review, but I feel obligated to warn others to avoid this practice…read more Upon entering the waiting room with my mother for her first visit with Dr. Sevilla, the receptionist greeted us with "she won't be able to go back with you. Dr. Sevilla will speak with your daughter once she has determined her care plan." We kindly explained that my mother (age 67) has a complicated history and my mom indicated she didn't feel comfortable without me with her. The receptionist disappeared and within minutes the doctor literally burst into the waiting room, didn't greet us or introduce herself, but started shouting about her credentials and that this is how she runs her practice. We were dumbfounded but humbly agreed to her demands. Then we asked the receptionst to clarify an unusual form that we were asked to sign and again she got the doctor, who this time burst in with "obviously you've never seen a real doctor" and then asked us to leave if we wouldn't sign the sketchy paperwork that we merely asked the receptionist to explain... It was very bizarre behavior--to the point that we couldn't trust her. Still in complete shock about how we were treated.
