I had an 11:30 appointment and, knowing that these places are traditionally busy, I went in early and checked in shortly after 11. It was a mad house, standing room only, people audibly complaining about the staff, the wait and confronting the receptionist/Phlebotomist every chance they could. Come to find out a lot of people were walk ins, others had appointments that weren't for hours from the time they came in. The receptionists/phlebotomists were constantly trying to comfort people explain the situation all while trying to take care of their patients. Once the counter cleared I went up to say hello, passed my paper work along and expressed some much deserved sympathy for the way they were being treated. They took my back at 11.25 and since I was going to be there for the next 3 hours they were kind enough to put me in a room out of the fray. So please be nice to the people that work there and make an appointment. Quest could probably do to have some better staffing levels especially coming into season.

So I decided to try another way to get her labs done. Don from Quality Homes diagnostic labs is AWESOME. He was on time, patient gentle and he got the blood in just one stick. My mother said that she didn't even feel the stick and he was done done no time. He also gave hear a free blood pressure check, glucose, and pule oxidation check.
