I attempted to call the insurance company but unfortunately they aren't open on the weekends. I was unable to access the app or website, as it was down for maintenance. From what I gathered when they tried to run my insurance, it would not process. I showed them the app was down, as well as, the website so this is clearly why it's not processing. Mind you, this isn't my first time to see this doctor and all previous times there were no issues with my insurance. After I waited for 40 minutes the receptionist informs me that the doctor won't see me because of the insurance issue. I was at a loss for words, as she explained I could call on Monday and they could try again and get me in on Tuesday. Absolutely not, I will find a new provider who doesn't turn patients away because their insurance company decides to do maintenance on their sites on a Saturday.

Interestingly, I had no sense of being rushed during my collection. Alex told me that this was a fairly new location for LabCorp; for me it was a home run: very convenient to my work, easy parking and a tech I'd seriously like to try and hire away from you guys... She did the paperwork and sent two people at a time to the inner room where she would then take the blood samples. When it was my turn, she was unable to pull the blood after several attempts. She asked and I explained that while I was fasting from food, I drank two or more glasses of water since waking. From years of experience I could tell she was not doing the procedure properly, when I tried to explain to her, which veins they normally pull the blood from, she tried for several minutes with no results. At this point she began to get frustrated and started using abusive language to me. She then proceeded to a different vein, but not before putting the bandaid on improperly, she put the bandaid vertically instead of horizontally, in doing so she was putting the adhesive portion of the bandaid on top of the open vein. I had this same thing done to me a few years back, which resulted in a nasty infection and swelling of my arm, so I quickly removed it and turned it crosswise. She then in mean and vicious way suggested I take back my scrip and go elsewhere. Also, before using the needle, on all three occasions she did not properly clean the area first, but barely gave a quick swipe with the swab. All and all it was a horrific experience, I would not wish on my worst enemy. And all this while the other patient listened in. This employee was totally untrained and unfit to deal with her assignment, and this is sooooo unfair to the customers, whose only fault was being there to give them our business. Having prayed to God for intervention, she was able to pull the blood on the third attempt and several minutes on each try, it was just horrible!

They have been at this location for 5 years already as per the lab tech. The processing was simple and efficient There was no wait time, it was basically in and out. The lab tech was knowledgeable and quick. Labcorp has also made it very easy for patients to obtain their lab results online. I would definitely recommend this location if you're in a rush and in the area of course.

So not only did I not get the blood work done, but I had no time to get something to eat, which meant I was hungry and not at my best for work that afternoon, which was a problem.

From the moment we arrived, the condition of the room was alarming. The bedside nighttable had a white film on it that looked like dried milk. I ended up cleaning it myself with hand sanitizer and paper towels because I didn't want to place any personal items on a surface that looked so disgusting. The wall beside the bed was filthy, covered in dried blood and other stains (see attached picture). The staff was another major issue. The workers at the front desk were rude and acted like you were bothering them whenever you asked a question. If they even bothered to answer, it was with an attitude. On the positive side, the nurses, physical / speech and recreational therapists were nice and professional, but unfortunately, they were the exception. The private aid we hired to sit with my parent had her own disturbing observations. She said when she requested a diaper change for my parent, she was met with an attitude and the diaper wasn't changed for a shocking 7 hours--from 11 am to 6 pm. This is totally unacceptable, especially for someone who needs consistent care. After seeing all of this, it's hard not to conclude that this is a Medicare-draining facility more focused on cutting costs to maximize profit than providing decent care. A Cash Cow for the owners. If patients ask to be taken to the bathroom, they're told to just relieve themselves in their diapers. This is not only disrespectful but also likely contributes to unnecessary health problems like UTIs. If I had known how poorly run and filthy this place was, I would have never considered placing a loved one here. It's clear they're more interested in lining their pockets than actually providing quality care. I deeply regret this decision and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. Would not recommend.
