Made an appointment for a blood test with Labcorp OnDemand. I was not seen until way after my scheduled time. This lab seems very unorganized, uncomfortable and dirty. Would not recommend! Made the appointment online. Showed up checked in online with my phone. Was in for my appointment may be 5 to 7 minutes after the appointment time which is perfectly fine. The young lady that shook the blood could not have been better at it. I am a notoriously hard stick and she took her time and when she found the van, she wanted to go far she hit it the very first try took the blood and off I went. OMG! What is the deal with the wait time at this place (on Tim Gamble Road)? In the past, I have been able to make my appointments online, check in at the kiosk, go out to my car to await a text, and be seen within 15 minutes of my appointment time. But, something has changed within the last couple of years (new management???). The past two times that I have visited this establishment, the wait time has been inexcusable! Though I wasn't pushed for time at my last appointment, others were. There were folks there who made an appointment and expected to be seen within 15 or 20 minutes so that they could be back to work; there were people who had other appointments after this appointment. When the wait time for a scheduled appointment is verging on an hour, this is seriously unprofessional, particularly when the patients/customers are given no reason for the hold-up. When people were coming up to the receptionist to make sure they weren't forgotten about and to indicate how long they had been waiting, I actually heard the receptionist inform the customers that she just got there and doesn't have a clue why the appointments are running behind. In witnessing this after I had gone in to determine the hold-up, I didn't bother to say anything to the receptionist (of note, for a while, there was not anyone at the desk at all). In any case, I found a telephone number for the supervisor and actually called her on my cell phone. Though I appreciate her responding to my text and apologizing for the wait time, the very least that could be done is for staff to inform the customers that they are running behind (30 minutes, an hour, etc.) so as to give the customers a heads up and allow the customer to determine if they need to call it a day, leave, and reschedule for another time (where they could end up waiting another hour). Notably, after I called the supervisor, I was seen within 10 minutes but had been waiting for over 45 minutes. The only bright spot about this entire situation is that the tech was very nice and very professional in terms of taking my blood without an issue. If they could just focus on time management, all would be well. Even indicating that wait times may be up to and exceed an hour (even when appointments have been scheduled) so that customers will know ahead of time, will be an improvement to the current situation. read more

Usually this is one of the better locations to come in to get bloodwork done, but I strongly advise either arriving early in the morning or no later than 11:30 on Saturdays. My wife caught all kind of attitude from the staff at the check-in desk because her doctor printed the order double-sided, then they acted like it was criminal that I came in to wait with her. They also snapped at her the entire time she went back to get the blood draw, and continued the attitude enough to make her cry, and she NEVER cries. Utterly ridiculous and frankly, I'm tempted to just start taking time out of my work day to go to John Knox instead if this is how the only location open Saturdays is going to start behaving. read more

I have never had a bad experience with this business until I visited yesterday. The place was full and there was no where to sit. I had to stand the entire time along with 4 other people. I got there around 10:15 and I stood up for 2hours. I noticed that a lot of people did not know how to check in at the kiosk and would go directly to the front desk and as for assistance. I took a look at the online appointment schedule and saw that the only appoints were for the next month of October. I feel a better way to check individuals in would be to initiate a ticket system with a lighted system, so an individual would know when they would need to go to the desk and turn there paperwork in and for that ticket to be given to the tech when they are to be served. I also feel that there should be more than 3 techs availible to conduct the servercies needed. I left after 2 hours and came back at 1:30. It still took them 1 hour before I was seen. read more

Unfriendly waiting room and the check-in kiosk is annoying to use. Not impossible though and probably speeds the process. Don't try calling them cause it will just ring forever and no one will pick up. Spent about 45 minutes in the waiting room and about 3 getting my blood drawn. Not unusual. read more

I made an appointment the day before for 1015. I walked in the door at 1001, signed in at the kiosk, got called up to look at my lab orders, got called back and got labs drawn, out the door at 1017. Wow! I've never really had a problem at this location (as it looks like others may have) but this time went so smoothly and my lab tech was very friendly and quick. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. Front staff was great but my blood draw lady was terrible. I informed her that I have a tendency to faint and apparently that was a huge inconvenience to her, she was rude and insensitive given the situation. She kept the tourniquet on the ENTIRE blood draw which caused the draw to be slow, and then was blaming me for the slow blood draw because I wasn't "arching my arm". My arm started becoming discolored and purple because of the lack of blood flow. It's been over an hour since the visit and my whole arm is still numb and achy feeling. read more

Well, Cheryl took her time assessing for just the right spot, one quick stick that I didn't feel and boom all the blood she needed. Receptionist is PERFECT for this job! Very pleasant, happy and helpful! Great second impression! The first impression is the visual. Looks old and cluttered when walking in at first. Handed front desk workers my Florida Blue card implying the question, "do you take Florida Blue?" They just sent me to the check-in kiosk implying, "we accept Florida Blue". Got a bill for $500+ that I can not afford to pay. Took bill back to the front desk. I was told that it is the patient's responsibility to know if the visit is covered. They saw my card and sent me to the kiosk anyway. The front desk is very rude and willing to mess up some people. I'm standing at the counter signing in. The woman sitting at the front desk, behind the closed window, begins asking me questions. She asks, "do you have an appointment?" I said yes. She then asked my name. I decided not to broadcast to the waiting room, so I opened the window and gave my name. She gave me an "eat $h!+ and die" look and said, "I could hear you with the window closed." I said "but I didn't want to have this conversation with everyone in the waiting room." She then reached up and slid the window closed. I finished signing in and sat down. About 30 seconds later she prints a sign and sticks it on the window. This is exactly what it said: DO NOT TOUCH WINDOW! IT OPENS FROM THE INSIDE. THANKS :) Totally unbelievable. I've never had someone in a professional atmosphere be so rude. How does one stay employed...oh yeah it's Labcorp and they don't have to be polite to patients! I walked out and will never darken their door again. Labcorp is always a miserable experience with or without an appointment. The staff are rude, the facility is usually fairly unkempt and it takes forever. I was there two days ago to drop off a sample. It took 20 minutes and the staff were awful. If my insurance didn't require me to use this place I would NEVER go there. Getting Better. This was a visit for my wife. The sterile entrance and reception area remains the biggest drawback of the facility. The reception desk personnel were accommodating and efficient. We made an online appointment and was served before the scheduled time by a very polite and friendly technician. Where to begin? Like everyone else, my insurance requires I use LabCorp for medical testing. They are completely unreachable by phone, and I live in a different County than where they are located. No one seemed aware of how to "take" the test, told me to "talk to your doctor". My doctor's office was flabbergasted...said they couldn't tell me how to do that, they just order the test...Labcorb would have to give my instructions. For nearly ONE WEEK I called Labcorb, all 3 locations in Tallahassee, and NO ONE answered, ever. I finally found an 800# that WASN'T for billing issues, and Alisha was AWESOME. Bless her heart, I told her she needs to let LabCorp management know something is wrong here in Tallahassee...either they need to hire more customer service people to handle the phones and the reception desk with skill, or they need to start from scratch with all new personnel. BTW, the receptionist did give me the wrong instruction when I desperately searched for some kind of direction on how to collect my sample...that's when she told me to ask my doc. Didn't look for instructions for the test, did not go ask another person who might know how, or where to find out how, to take the test...I really hope I have time to collect my sample and get it analyzed before my next appointment in a few days.....:( read more

They have an electronic check in system that is a little bit of a pain to navigate, but no major issues. Certainly nothing like what other reviewers mentioned. I guess they don't worry about Customer Service since they are the only lab company my insurance uses!!! Terrible Hours for working people. They Close at 4:00 weekdays when everyone gets off at 5:00; how much sense does that make!!! So you try to go on Sat and the room is jam packed with people because they close at 12 pm, so you waste your entire Saturday waiting your turn to get your lab work done!!! They don't deserve ONE star!!!! My daughter and I are both hard to stick and get blood from. We have been told repeatedly when hospitalized to be sure to tell the person drawing our blood to use a butterfly needle. They NEVER listen and NEVER have one. They tell you the one they have is just the same, it is NOT!!! Today, after being stuck 4 times and 2 technicians later, the last woman was grinding the needle in my hand (which is very sore and black and blue) trying to work it into a vein (only thing I could figure). I was almost in tears!! I've had enough and going to complain to our insurance provider that insists we go there!!!! read more
