You can always find a deal at Grocery Depot so long as you don't look at expiration dates…read more That first line sounds bad, doesn't it? I know it does. How do you open up a review on the Grocery Depot and other, similar, chains around Oregon? I dunno, it's tough. Let me start this review over and try again... Cheapskates of all stripes shop at Grocery Depot risking life and limb for a good deal! That's better, I think. Grocery Depot's shelves are stocked to the brim with good deals on, what I assume, some other poor b******'s cast offs. Looking for discontinued ice cream that may or may not have gone bad last month? Grocery Depot is your place! Look, as the cheapest of cheapskates I'm willing to risk that popcorn that expired last week for 89 cents. Don't get me wrong, not everything is expired or discontinued. There's stuff here that will never go bad! My goodness, this review isn't going well. It sounds like I hate this place, doesn't it? Am I making this place sound awful? Maybe I need to try a new tact. Okay, some people, people like you, are going to spend $4.67 on a box of crackers this week. Well, friend, you've just wasted your money because you could have come to Grocery Depot and saved three bucks because they have a similar brand where the box has been crushed by a front end-loader on it's way to Safeway. Triscuit's loss is your gain, Sister! (I assume you, dear reader, are a woman. If you're not just pretend you are for a moment, it's a brave new world out there.) Anyway, I have sixteen dollars to my name and don't want to starve this week. Besides, I'm trying to save up to buy The Last of Us (that's a PS3 game) coming out soon and I need all the extra cash I can get. You can't do all of your shopping at Grocery Depot because they don't have everything. But stopping here first, before your trip to Safeway or Megafoods means you can trim off a bunch of more expensive foodstuffs from an otherwise hefty bill. To Grocery Depot, friends!

Tasty treat from Starbucks @ Safeway in Lebanon, OR. !…read more While browsing for veggies at Safeway, I heard over the loud speaker that Starbucks was giving out samples. I didn't really pay any attention to what they were promoting and didn't think much of it again until we were ready to check out and I noticed some other customers enjoying a little something. Since Starbucks is close to the check out area, I made my way there and snatched up a sample for myself and it was so delicious, I had to go back and ask what it was called! As seen in the picture, it was a cute, well-made sample of a cinnamon roll Frappuccino. I would have guessed it was vanilla bean with just a sprinkle of cinnamon on the whip. I appreciated the sweet treat, but wouldn't go all out and buy a normal size of it, I can't imagine wanting to consume that much sugar!! It was very nice, nonetheless, for them to promote drinks through enticing samples. Thank you.

She proceeded to yell at all of us that they weren't open for another 7 minutes. I then left, went & got coffee, then came back. It was now 0558. Myself & 4 other vehicles were waiting to fuel up. At 0602 she came out of the little store thing, proceeded to yell at everyone again that the pumps were on but the system was down. Once the system came back up, I got my fuel no problem. Well she proceeded to stay in the store area while 2 people needed help pumping gas & did not assist them. I had to help another lady pump her gas because the attendant wouldn't. I have never had a problem, but this morning definitely showed lack of customer service & kindness.

Is this place under new Management? I noticed all new people at night and early mornings when I go…read morein. And now there is little to no food out. The taquito rollers are sometimes stocked up. But now I rarely go in and see a stock of hot dogs on the rollers. There was about 4 each type ready to go and pretty fresh. Now I am lucky if I see one fresh one of any flavor. And there is now 1 or 2 on the cooking side still unready. A couple times I have gone recently and the hot dogs were overcooked. The skin was actually starting to wrinkle. I was not impressed. I was hoping it was just the new management getting into the swing of things and it would get better. But now it is reminding me of the Qwik-E-Mart off the simpsons. I just want to be able to go in on the morning rush and actually see food available. I stop in on my way home from work and it's a weird guilty pleasure. A slurpee and a hotdog or 2 with chili and cheese. It isn't looking great. Not sure if they will get it back under control or not. It literally looked like the guy behind the counter was running back and forth cooking stuff one by 1 in the microwave back there as it was ordered. Which causes issues with customer service. Not sure if they are trying to conserve on waste. But if I wanted a microwaved hotdog I would do that myself at home. The point is to be able to grab n go.
