The clone was a strain called "Easy Bake" from Freeworld Genetics out of Boulder and it's high quality. The Cannabis flower I purchased was top notch and resonably priced. The staff was helpful and the only negative thing I can think of is the neighborhood around the North Washington Street store is run down and a bit sketchy but relatively safe. Came in for a special on their website. Everytime I stop in I spend hundreds of $$$ and tip $10. They sold me CBD concentrates (disgusting) from another company when I asked for Summit Live Resin. A few days later, I came in and asked for an exchange because it says you can exchange on their reciept and the product is not what I asked for. I was looking for a very specific strain when I found LaConte's. I was thrilled they had it in stock, because I'd been researching for quite some time with no luck. I was able to place my order online with Jane and even was able to chose a pickup time. Before picking up my order, I called them to ask if I could have their happy hour discount if I waited until happy hour to pick up my online order. Christian told me that if I came between 3 and 4:20, I would get the happy hour special. I rolled through at 3p on the dot. When asked what I wanted, I mentioned the strain I thought I'd ordered online and was told, "we don't have that." I explained that I'd placed an order at 9a, which received the response, "we don't have online ordering." I kindly told them their website indeed has online ordering, and another guy responded, "yeah, I don't know what the deal with that is." So, I think Christian needs some extra training, because instead of asking me what I was ordering online, he thought it best to correct my knowledge of their happy hour times. Also, their web site has online ordering, but I'd recommend not using it, because their employees don't even think they have online ordering. Big waste of time, energy, gas, and uh, time. The first time I came to LaConte's was about 2 years ago. I had my medical card and got in a "priority" line. It was cheaper then Rec. I let my card expire and I decided to use to as they had a special 2-4pm (double check the special hours) The first time I was in I bought a plant, they told me keep my receipt and if the plant dies, you can get your second one for free. That's great, we get a chance to fuck up before getting it right. I came in trying to figure out the special time, where if you buy it then you can get an ounce for 99. Its only a couple blends they have normally 3-5. Some indica and some stevia. read more

Horrible experience. Jeff the Manager refused to honor the out the door price as advertised on Cannasaver and then tried to over charge me on the regular sale price. He claimed that it said pre-tax in the fine print.. oddly enough after my transaction the coupons have been removed from Canna saver. Likely because pre-tax was left out of the fine print. The north store confirmed that they'd do it for 350 OTD and Jeff called and screamed at the manager there (Jessie) when I told him I'd be taking my business up the road to save $50. Been going to LaContes as a Medical MJ patient. Worked pretty well. You buy 10 candy bars get one free. Well, If you forget your MMJ card, or are a recreational purchaser of goods, their attitude changes and prices are more than double at other dispensaries. Now if you buy 10 Candy bars you get 1/10 of a candy bar free. Prices are doubled and the staff treats you like a schlub that has never graced their store before. I asked for $150 in Wax, they have it prepackaged; When I got home it was Shatter and not wax. Untrained Staff has gotten lazy and are not as good as when they first opened. Do yourself a favor and go to any of the PURE dispensary locations. Prices are better there and more professional than the bunch of stoners they now have working at LaContes begging for tips. read more

I've been to plenty of dispos in Denver and this one is a great spot. They have happy hour from 1-4pm everyday where you can save a few dollars depending on your spending amount. They also have $109 ounces that looked pretty good. In general, their prices are very reasonable. For example, I got some 250 mg OPen cartridges that were $30 -- I've seen other dispensaries charge $45 for them. Staff was really nice and helpful. I wanted to see what all the hype was about with all the new dispensaries popping up all around town. Parking was small and neighborhood was questionable but I said what the hay and went in anyway. I tried to open a door but they have to buzz you in. I felt like I was walking into a secret society or club. I was greeted by very friendly security men who checked my id and pointed me in the right direction. I laughed as I told him this was my first time and I didn't know the secret knock. I then went to a counter where I talked to a couple sales men who were very knowledgable, professional and friendly. They took the time to answer my questions and get me hooked up with the right products. I don't like smoking so I got an edible to help with pain. It cost about $17 for a big chocolate bar with 75 mg of thc. No matter what strength you get, the chocolate bars are all priced the same and very reasonably priced at that. I left feeling satisfied. Not curious or nervous and scared like I was when I first went in. The place is awesome. Clean, professional, wide selection, great prices. If you want a serious crash course in growing your own marijuana buy some clones here! I bought several clones from La Conte's, NEVER AGAIN. Our clones had nothing but problems, they came in Rock Wool that was infested with Root Aphids. Unless you want plants full of pests that you have to battle to get rid of stay away! I know they came from here because my tent and dirt was 100% sterile and brand new on top of that. These clones were the worst idea and I have learned a very expensive and very valuable lesson, start your own plants from seeds! read more

I would give this no stars if I could. The staff are rude, rushed and are very condescending, as a medical patient I came a while back for an incentive they had going on, I made them my first caregiver, the person who signed me up was working alone, and rushed through the process to get to other customers, the flower was dry and less aromatic than other places I have been to, the concentrates were low rate and over priced, so me being unhappy with my decision waited out my 30 days to change to someone else as my caregiver, only it doesn't work like that, I called for a release and was talked down to and told yes at first but then called back because I was hung up on and the whole story changed, and the one person working, hung up on me three times while I tried to get an answer as to why they wouldn't release me, was just told over and over that I have to stay for "120 days", that is 90 days after colorado state law says you can switch caregivers. Bullying your med patients will get you no where. I wasn't happy with the service, the staff, or the quality of product, so I quietly waited my time to depart only to be told "this is what it is, 120 days, deal with it". read more

This is the worst dispensary in Colorado! I drove to the North location (5194 Washington St) and made the request for a specific clone strain that was currently out of stock but would arrive the following week at the cost of $20.00 per clone. I then purchased 1/8 of their so called top shelf product that was the worst product I have ever purchased or smoked. "I used to get better dirt weed in high school back in the day then what I purchased at La Conte's". To make things worse, I called back the following week to see if the new clones arrived (specifically the strain I inquired on) and after confirming the order was in, the bud-tender decided to raise the price on the clones to $25.00 each without reason. In questioning why? I was referred to the manager - Patrick ,who was rude and non-professional went on to explain the reason for the price increase was due to "their supplier,who is on vacation for 1 week and therefore they have to adjust the price". How and why is that my fault and why should the customer pay for their inadequacy in doing business especially with their vendors. When I requested to speak with the owner, Patrick refused his name and contact information asking me instead to contact another worthless manager. The owners name is Eric John Meza. I will try to follow up with him and will re-post an update upon a resolution if warranted. For now, I would do as it states in the review below and go to any other dispensary locations through out Colorado.
