I'm new to this whole baby thing, and I guess this is a pretty normal service, but I was even more happy to find that out. Jessi came to visit me soon after birth to diagnose tongue tie and helped me get an emergency appointment with Dr Ghaheri for surgery to correct it and got us on the path to breastfeeding. I was nervous about the whole process, but Jessi kept in contact with me throughout the following weeks and helped me through the process. Right how we are 4 days post surgery and already breastfeeding with a nipple shield, and I feel confident that we will be fully breastfeeding soon. I couldn't be happier with Doula My Soul, they are a great support for our family. I plan on trying belly binding as well.

I only saw her for preventative care and annual exam but each time she was in and out of the door and barely asked me any questions. I had to ask her to do bloodwork. I switched doctors after moving and all the questions they asked in my appointment made me realize this doctor just did the bare minimum for me. I would see her in her office giggling on her phone as I would walk out each time as if she couldn't wait to finish the appointment to get back to texting and scrolling. I felt this way both times but also didn't have health concerns to care as much but honestly she could have easily missed things given that she basically asked nothing during those appointments, highlighted to me now that I have a caring doctor. Keep an eye on this behavior if she is your doctor.

Dr. deCastro was amazing, and honestly felt like I was finally being listened to. We struggled with unknown infertility and had felt written off by other clinics and shoved under the rug. But we came in with our concerns and he listen and created a plan that led us to our first baby! IT WAS THE BEST INVESTMENT EVER! Our doula was 100% supportive and non-judgment with every choice made! She helped me labor at home (i had my baby within an hour of getting to the hospital !) and also through postpartum and breastfeeding. She NEVER sees my kids for annuals but I now choose her EVERY time we need a sick kid visit. She is SO caring. She listens like I wish a doctor would listen to ME for my own healthcare!! She doesn't just say oh runny nose it's probably allergies k bye...she prods. She asks questions. She digs. She finds the WHY something is happening. My son has been experiencing bouts of vomiting. Sometimes they last a day, sometimes hours sometimes he is throwing up all day then fine for a day then it starts again. It's awful. But instead of brushing it aside she investigated. And we are now one episode away from my son being diagnosed with "Abdominal Migraines." It's a horrible condition BUT treatable. I can guarantee that 99.9% of other doctors would not have gotten to this diagnosis but because of how caring she is, how vastly smart and wise, because of her experience, she got there. She helped my husband and I ease our worries about what to expect during the whole journey and most of all helped us feel empowered and informed to make the best decisions that were right for us.
