Great to mail out post cards. Make sure to know how many stamps you need and then pop outside and post your cards in the red mailbox.

If you come in earlier in the day, you can be in and out in under 5 minutes. But as it gets closer to closing time in the evening, the queues get longer and longer. Depending on who is at the counter, the service is either good or terrible. There is one lady in particular who is the same nationality as me, but it feels like she purposely misunderstands my request. On one occasion, after showing her a stamped parcel, she printed an APL label and tried to convince me to take off the pasted stamp and use the label she had printed instead!

Went to Kensington High street Post office to renew our expired passport today 10am 10/07/24. We were served by a gentileman (name Badge was Harinder). Harinder considered our age and explained the cons and pros of the application system and chose the safest system to apply and receive. He was very knowledeable in that field. He also advised us not to travel with out a travel insurance, and to my wife about a life insurance for six pounds. We were very happy with the service. Now a days Super market to Hospitals are considering people as consumers. This gentleman treated us as a friend advised for our welfare. Thank you Harinder.

It's spacious, clean and bright, with a reasonably sized sales area selling stationery items - the queue goes through it, so you can browse while you are waiting. Service is pretty reasonable - the queues here don't seem too bad, and move fairly quickly, and the staff are generally friendly. Christmas is the exception though, when you may have to wait 15 minutes. It's always better first thing in the morning. Services include everything you'd expect from a large branch - Royal Mail, Licences, Bureau de Change, Insurance and various other offers from the Post Office (though these are mostly available online too). There's a bus stop just outside with a wide range of services.

Not a dog-friendly branch…read more I was asked to leave my dog outside before I could be served, without being asked whether my dog was an assistance dog, which was not practical as I was alone. I visit this branch regularly and had not had this issue in the past, so I was surprised by the approach taken today. Other nearby Royal Mail branches, including the Hampstead Royal Mail branch, as well as local drop-off points such as the Costcutter on Finchley Road, are dog-friendly, so the Swiss Cottage Royal Mail branch felt unnecessarily inflexible for such a straightforward service. Clearer information about branch policies and available services online would be helpful.

The minus in my experience is the unfriendly staff. Not all! I was thinking of a particular young Asian woman with a penchant for treating customers with a traffic-warden attitude. Not nice. To avoid the possibility of hurting your self-esteem, hop on a bus and use St. John's Wood proper Post Office down the road.

However the service here is absolutely appalling. I have to come here often for work errands and every time the treatment has been rude, abrupt and unhelpful. On my first visit, I was in between meetings and was on the phone to a client and only had a small parcel to send first class - simple task. The woman behind the counter asked me 'have you finished? I'm not serving you until you are off the phone. Get back to the queue'. There are no signs saying that you cannot use your phones and this has never been an issue in other branches before. The following times that I have come here, the same woman always stares at me and speaks to a colleague serving me in a different language and laughs. More recently I asked a different woman to help me change £50 into £10 and £5 notes - she then proceeded to tell me she could only give me two £5 notes and that her colleague (who was only 5 steps away) had more. I asked her to ask her colleague for me and she instead told me to queue up again to wait. I have never experienced customer service like this - and I am disappointed that there isn't another branch I can use. Horrendous excuse for a post office.
