I'm not one to frequent Ladbrokes or any bookies for that matter of fact but I was meeting a friend on Rose St. the other week and as she was running late (as usual) I couldn't help but do a spot of people watching. It sort of made me sad to see middle aged guys stumbling out of here, some looking like they were almost certainly quids in while others looked a bit more down on their luck and as if they'd just spent their last penny on a horse that came last or fell over.
To make matters worse a woman came out, started screaming down the phone at the top of her voice talking about last nights escapades and made the whole place even more uninviting.
I'm not sure how to rate Ladbrokes, to be honest. I guess it serves it's purpose so three is acceptable but it's a slippery slope... read more
