I've been at this salon a few times now! It's so big, it's two stories. I got the builder gel full set and I am happy with how it turned out. I went with my friends and they were all pleased with it. They do it all here: acrylic, dip, gel, design, gel x, builder gel, pedicure, etc. I like how clean it is and even though we didn't have an appointment I only waited like 15-20 minutes. It was definitely busy but as I was finishing up it wasn't as busy. There were some moments of miscommunication with pricing and what not which made me frustrated at times so I would speak to 4 workers to make sure but still in the end I guess we were all not on the same page. I understand their is a language barrier but I will just have to be clarifying for next time. Extremely upset that I have to write this... I went in on 8/27/24 for a dip and pedicure. They did my nails while sitting in the pedicure chair. I'm not sure if that made a difference. However, I left for my vacay in Cabo on 8/30. A relaxing vacay... the three photos with the countertop background were taken on 8/3 - exactly one week later. The two photos in the car were from 8/5. I have to say that I am extremely happy with the results-- the salon is very clean and spacious, and the group I came with was all attended to immediately. They did up charge me on the gel pedicure; however, the technician that did my toes did a great job and was extremely gentle with my feet. The picture that I am showing is a comparison of what I asked for versus what I got. For some reason they were able to make all of my fingernails look like thumbs! It's a completely horrible quality. The nail tech wasn't forthcoming enough to admit that she didn't know what she was doing. When I go to my salon in dallas, I spend less than what I spent and they don't chip within 4 weeks. I went in the Sunday before thanksgiving and had to go back to ladue nails within 3 days for one nail chipping and they redid it and since then every single nail has chipped and I've ruined my long nails I've spent a long time growing out. This was a total waste of money and time. They can always get me right in and last time I was in and out in one hour and that was with getting dips on my fingernails and a basic gel pedicure. If I could give no stars I would. I will begin with the positive, I did not have to wait at all to be serviced for the pedicure. The atmosphere was clean and the look of the salon remains kept up. I have been here before and never went through what I experienced. During my pedicure the technician literally cut my flesh, I began to bleed. When I responded to her, that was my skin she responds with a "yes", her English was not good at all. She adds antiseptic many times but we continue on. She did not ask was I okay or anything, as I am bleeding even during the drying process. She brings the bill with no discount or even attempt to comp the service. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. The polish was poorly done and it looks like a 3 year serviced me. Avoid coming if you can, like I said the look of the place may fool you. Awful. Everything was so filthy, the table, the leather pad to rest my hands on, the technician's to kit! I could. It believe she was using those dusty, gross files and other tools on my nails. Totally unsanitary. My daughter's dip mani (photo) was waaay too thick and they painted a hair into one of her finished nails. They also neglected to clean up her nails, leaving residual polish and product under her nail tips. My technician took a personal call while using the dremmel and cut my cuticle, drawing blood. My nails feel plenty strong but the nail art started chipping on day 1. I went back and chips were repaired without question. I've been to the Clayton location numerous times until I had enough of the nail techs using the electric filer and they finally filed my nails down 1 time too many till it was excruciating. As many times as I've said it hurts and asked them to stop, they giggle and pretend they don't speak English and then continue to kill the nail bed. (with gel polish) I've been to the CWE (Central West End) location about 3 times and it's okay. Newer location. I only get pedicures. This last time I went, the woman decided to be impatient and use that electric NAIL FILE on my toe nails (WHY?? seriously why...I had no nail polish on and had just done my toe nails using cuticle oil, etc.) I almost kicked her out the way because I didn't have polish on and I keep my toe nails pretty! LESSON..... If you have any services done...you can bring your own filing implements and you can also write on paper DO NOT FILE or OVER FILE the nails. OMG, I wish I had come to Yelp before I went here! WORST nail experience EVER!!! No wonder they were the only nail salon accepting walk-ins today! She completely used two different sized nails on my two middle fingers, and when I mentioned it, they just pretended they didn't hear me, and disregarded what I said (another recurring theme!). My friend was finished with her mani/pedi, and I was just sitting there, a third of the way done, no one working on my nails. And why? Because it was her break time...and she didn't seem to know how to do dip! Other women were just sitting around doing nothing, and just looking at me!!! Then, this guy, Jeff came to finish my nails...WOW...he didn't even know HOW to do dip!!! He asked me that since my friend was finished, if he could just take off the tips, and I could just come another time to get my nails done!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!? I was there today for a reason!!!! Half of my nails, he messed up, and instead of taking polish remover to correct the issue, he just painted over it. He KEPT messing up, and instead of correcting his mistakes, he just kept painting over them, and so half my nails have one coat of dip, and my other nails have 3! Then HALF of them are ROUND, and the other are SQUARE!!! Then, to top it all off, I showed him the nail she messed up, and instead of just using polish remover, and fixing it, he just filed it instead...as if he didn't know how to repair or fix issues either, and messed it up even more! He literally asked me if it was okay, after he filed the wrong nail, I told him it wasn't, and his solution to my already too short nails (that was the first issue) I asked him if he could just file the other mail to match? He literally THREW THE NAIL FILE IN MY DIRECTION AND SAID HE COULDN'T FILE THE OTHER NAIL AND SAID "YOU do it!" WTF?! Who's paying whom here to get my nails done?!?! As he continued to screw up my nails more and more, he kept asking it if was okay, I kept telling him "no," but he acted like he didn't understand, and just kept going!!! And they have the nerve to charge MORE than any other nail salon! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN, the service was so bad! Don't know HOW they survived the pandemic! This has been the worst nails set I've ever had. I decided to try a dip with tip and never again will I go here or do that. First thing is I asked for almond and the tech made me show her a picture. What I got was oval. The nails are bumpy. After one week I was closing the dishwasher and my pinky broke 2-3mm from the nail bed. Ouch. Was throbbing etc. two days later I'm closing my car door and my left index finger popped right off. Four days later I'm closing a cabinet and my right index finger broke straight across the middle and blood is sleeping through. Horrific experience and I'm hoping when I get this soaked off somewhere else half of my real nail isn't gone. Mind you I work in an office. I don't do too much other my hands. She didn't complete all of the normal steps and my pedicure didn't look good, paint all over my skin, sloppy job. Absolutely not impressed. I went with a friend and we got gel manicures and pedicures. We had very different experiences, hers was pretty good but mine was horrible. My nails were trimmed but never shaped, buffed, cuticles cut, or anything. She just slapped 3 coats of polish on and it's very uneven and already peeling (2 days later) because it was done so poorly. For my pedicure she didn't use lotion or do the leg massage at all. I was pretty pissed by the whole experience. I didn't make a fuss because I was with my friend and it was a fun girls day out and I didn't want to make a scene but I've never had such a bad experience.
