Went for a dip manicure, no soak or prep was done to nails prior to technician immediately starting to put dip on nails. I asked for cuticle clean up, tech was surprised. Nails looked good, but less than 24 hours after the manicure, one nail's dip polish came clean off. Went in to have that nail fixed, however, I can see on 3 more nails that the dip is about to come off. Have had many dip manicures other places and have never had this happen. Starting March they are eliminating all weekend hours. Inside was clean and people were friendly, but manicure quality was low. read more

The salon is clean, fairly quiet, with the exception of a Netflix movie playing (Whitney Houston biopic for us!). The chairs are comfortable and updated. Off-street free parking in the lot behind the salon. I had difficulty finding a last minute appointment to work with my schedule, but the helpful, kind receptionist was accommodating and even called when an earlier availability opened. My tech was helpful, responsive and skilled. She didn't rush through my nails and held friendly conversation. I will definitely be back and urge you to do the same, if you've had trouble finding a decent salon that can accommodate walk-ins and last minute appointments. Review for Trendy Nails & Spa.. Shoutout to Jillian! I brought my mom in for a pedicure at Trendy Nail Salon, and we were lucky to have Jillian take care of her. My mom hadn't had her nails done in quite some time, and Jillian was incredibly patient and attentive throughout the entire appointment. Even though we had a 6 PM slot and the salon closes at 7, she never rushed and made sure my mom felt pampered from start to finish. The salon itself is adorable, very clean, and well maintained. The whole staff was upbeat, fun, and welcoming--it created such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Zero stars for ridiculous interaction. I picked this location due to having walk-in hours thru 8 PM, and positive reviews. I called earlier in the afternoon and asked about walk-ins between 5:30-6, and was told no problem. I walked in at 5:40 PM, wasn't greeted until I walked well into the shop. I was asked what service I wanted, typical at all nail salons, and I said I wanted a gel pedicure & full set with gel. She then looked at me and said they were no longer doing services as they were booked. I began to ask about walk-in hours.....but it wouldn't make a difference. My time was being wasted. Why not tell me at the door there are no services available? Why ask me what I want first then tell me you aren't taking more walk-ins? I can read between the lines any time I walk into a place of business and am denied service well within operating hours and with several staff available. read more

I have been getting my nails done at Trendy Nails since July and I'm still very happy with the service and quality of their work! For my first visit, I arrived on a Friday afternoon and signed it. I had a short wait (no appointment) but while I was waiting I was soaking my feet waiting for a pedi. Mia came over and started working on my pedi and we got to chatting about all sorts of things. The pedi didn't take too long since I opted for a basic one. Once my pedi was done we went over to her station and she started working on my nails. I have been addicted to gel lately so that's what I had done. She soaked my nails, cleaned the cuticles and filed them to a good length. Gel polish takes about 3 coats and Mia did a great job at applying the color. When I was finished I paid at the counter (cash since credit is a $2 fee). They give you a punch card for paying cash and after 10 visits I get a 50% off a service. I'm about halfway there! I scheduled another appointment with Mia for a few weeks later and I was on my way! Trendy Nails is always busy so scheduling is important if you can. They do take walk ins, but you may have to wait. I've been back about 5 times since July and schedule with Mia every time. She's easy to talk to and friendly (and real)! I enjoy my visits and look forward to my next one. Everyone at the shop is friendly and they all seem to have fun at work! I think I've found my new nail place in STL. Finally! If you need a mani, pedi, or waxing I do recommend visiting Trendy Nails. Their prices are about average for their services and the shop itself is clean and very welcoming. read more

Very very happy with my experiences here! The first time I went in, I arrived just before closing time (I found incorrect hours on the internet-go figure). Instead of turning me away or reluctantly accepting me and rushing my mani, Darlene welcomed me in with a friendly smile and wonderful service. She even went above and beyond to fix a previously broken nail. The second time I went in, I received a gel pedicure that lasted through my 5 day trip to the beach. Sad to say, I didn't expect my pedi to last per previous pedicures from other shops so I am beyond happy to see my beautiful paint untethered! All the employees are so kind. I love that they speak with you and include you in conversations if they speak to each other. They always let you know if you request something that costs more and disclose the cost instead of trying to sneakily upsell. Great new place we found near the house. Called, and they were able to get us in same day. Parking is in back and there is street parking outside. Great massage chairs, friendly, high quality technicians and a great color selection. My biggest downside is the horrible ventilation. I really want to come back, but I had a headache within a few minutes if being in there. They were kind enough to give me a mask, which I wore, but could still smell the fumes. And this was on a Thursday at 3p, I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. I really liked the pedi, seems high quality and I'm pretty confident it'll last for weeks. read more

The ladies at Trendy ROCK! Super cool chicks, great personalities, very helpful and amazing techs. I've never been disappointed with my mani/pedi work. I've never gotten any wax treatment but I've seen the product of their eyebrow wax and it's pretty on point. The shop is always very nice and neat. Well kept tools, organized variations of polishes from gel to power to regular lacquer. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and Trendy's restroom has passed my hygiene check on every visit. This is probably one of the best nail salons that I've visited in South St.Louis. I've been going here for about 4 years now. Kaci and Lili are the TRUTH when it comes to acrylics. They give top notch service in a great atmosphere. They are reasonably priced in my opinion but they are so worth every penny. There isn't usually a wait time for me as I schedule in advance. However I've noticed walk-in clientele do not wait long at all. They try their best to be accommodating I am so comfortable with them and their service that I just schedule my appointments and show up! I came here since I couldn't get my nails done in Memphis. They had 4 stars but that was too low. They gave me excellent device. Candi was polite, attentive and a perfectionist. I love when you don't have to tell a nail technician how many coats and what to do...it defeats the purpose of going to the nail salon. The environment was light with small chatter. The television was low but you could hear it. I'm glad I came to this location. I now wish I had gotten my pedicure done here too but I went to my Memphis spot and they couldn't accommodate me since they were closing. Nevertheless I'm happy too say this was a great experience. I love coming here. The space is clean, the atmosphere is laid back. I've rarely if ever, had a service I did not like. The nail techs are all really good in my experience but they do have various levels of abilities so if you're not requesting someone in particular, be sure to explain what kinda service you want so you can be paired with someone who can execute it very well. I usually get basic pedicures and dip powder manicure. They cost $25 and $35 respectively. Prices are definitely fair for the services. They do take walk-ins but your best bet is to make an appointment. This is one of the few places that really tries to honor appointment time and I appreciate it. read more

A few years ago I misplaced my wedding ring after getting an upsetting phone call. I had to leave my appointment early in a rush. When checking for my rings I discovered it wasn't where I thought I had put it in my purse. I called the store and we checked the cameras... nothing. I searched my car, the parking lot, anywhere I could have left it. I left Trendy Nails my number just in case it showed up, but I had little hope. This was my husband's grandmother's wedding ring and I was SO sad. A year later Trendy Nails calls my phone out of the blue. They ask me if I'm missing a ring. I say "yes..." They ask me to describe it and I did. They said, "We have your ring!" They were cleaning the dryers and it was hanging out in there for a year! I was in tears I was so happy. My husband drove over and picked it up. We were so impressed that they 1. remembered me, 2. had so much integrity to call and return it. They have a customer for life. read more

I got there around 4 on Friday and was out by 6. That's great for a Friday and I got both a deluxe pedi and full set. EVERYONE was friendly and the shop was a lot of fun. The layout of the shop was modern with counter height hand stations and updated pedi chairs. Hayley did my toes and Lyna my set. I recommend BOTH ladies. When I walked into Trendy Nails, someone sitting in the waiting area on her phone shouted something to me along the lines of "sign in" then went back to her phone. I had an appointment and arrived early to look at polish colors. I went to the desk, signed in, and then walked to the wall of polish. As I looked through the colors, several employees rudely shouted at me to use the samples. I explained what I was doing and one of them pointed to a small basket on the desk near the sign-in sheet which contained some color samples. I told them that I wanted regular polish on my toes and it took some time with language barrier for them to explain that the samples were for gel, dip, and regular polish types, and I needed to use them for selecting the colors. The store looks like it's under construction and the mani station chairs are all wrapped in styrofoam and packing tape. The areas looked clean, but the store was cluttered and a maze to walk through, so watch where you step! I was invited to a pedi chair eventually and Calvin did a good job with the Deluxe pedicure, including polish. We then transferred to a mani station and he proceeded to trim/file my nails and apply the gel. He was very detail-oriented and my nails looked great! He did not, however, buff my nails, so within four days my gel was already slowly peeling away from the nail and now, not even a full 6 days later, I have three nails where the gel is peeled enough off the nail that it's catching on everything. I've used gel for a long time and with proper preparation the gel stayed on my nails 2+ weeks. I will not go back to Trendy. I am disappointed that I spent $70 on a mani/pedi where the toe polish is chipping and the gel is peeling clean off the nail. read more
