I stopped going to Ladue Nails.....I refuse to go there ever again. They WILL stay on the phone the whole time they are doing your nails. I went and took my daughter to get her nails done & I finally asked her technician to get off the phone and concentrate on what she was being paid to do -- a Manicure!! Also, if not on the phone the techs will speak to each other the entire time. Once the tech actually skipped a nail. Suddenly, when it's time to pay, they are all over you and ARE off the phone. I've been coming to Julie, every two weeks, for almost 4 years. My husband began coming last year as well. Two years ago, I began getting a dip/powder manicure and I'm very happy with it. It stays on well, even longer than two weeks. It looks natural and you don't have to use the light machine to dry it. I'm always getting compliments on my nail. Seems healthier than the gel or acrylics. If I ever have any issue, Julie fixes it at no charge to me. The salon stands behind their work. Julie is friendly, courteous, and her work is excellent and professional. My husband was reluctant to go but after meeting Julie, he's become a regular too. read more

While they usually do a nice job of my nails their COMMUNICATION skills are the absolute worse! They often ignore you after signing in on arrival not giving you any information about how long the wait will be -- I waited 15 mins today before somebody finally came up front so I could ask. I was told a few minutes abc it ended up being 30 more -- I would have gladly made an appointment and returned later that day. They need to learn to respect people's times and schedules and be much more efficient with customer service. This is not the first time this has happened and whenever I kindly remind them they need to offer this courtesy they just say "sorry, sorry." My daughter had our seats within seconds of arriving. The color selection was great and the staff was super happy to see us again. However the amount of pressure I received to get a nicer, more expensive pedicure than the one I had picked for myself and my daughter was intense. If i could give zero or negative stars I would. They are the sole reason why i stopped going to have my nails painted. I can do a better job than they can. My mom and i went in January but i felt the need to post my experience. We were getting mani's and pedi's because it was my mom's b-day. We got sat in the chairs and my mom's lady filled the pedicure tub and walked away. Few seconds later the water overflowed from the tub and spilled all over the floor why the technician was on her phone. She came back realized theres a massive pool of water. My technician just stared and acted like nothing was happening. My mom's technician burned her feet with too hot water, was really rough and to top it all off spilled oil on her jeans. Everyone knows its a major pain to try and get oil out of pants. My technician cut my nails too short, repeatedly asked if I wanted gel when i repeatedly said no. They didn't even offer to take some of the price off after the disastrous experience. I don't understand how they are still in business read more

Stopped in for a nail repair. Was greeted rudely and rushed. The lady repeatedly told me that my nails were to long and needed to be cut they are to long. I gave in and let her trim them she did ask round or square. I could barely understand what she was saying. read more

I went to the salon on Clayton Road with a bridal party. While most had a good experience, I had a very unpleasant, non English speaking technician. She was rude, used luke warm water during my pedicure, took longer than anyone else, my gel nails chipped and yellowed within days. Even the other technicians rolled their eyes at her. How rude! This place gets a big thumbs down for many reasons, but mostly for the employees' lack of hospitality. Getting my nails done is a totally frivolous thing that I could easily find a hundred other things I should put the money towards. Knowing that, I expect to enjoy my irresponsible decision. Walking in to the nail salon today and anticipating it to be very fancy (I mean it is in Ladue) and being way underwhelmed (and kinda relieved), I was shocked at how this place is rundown and just kind of a bummer. The cream color chairs are stained a dingy brown and the nail color selection is whack. I received zero greeting and was obviously disappointing them with "just" a mani. With so many employees, you would expect to see at least one smile, but don't get your hopes up. My tech spoke to me twice to bark, "Wash" and "You pay." Seriously, I'm so put off, my nails are drying from my frantic phone typing! read more

Had a decent pedicure here a few weeks ago. Was not impressed by the selection of colors - it was much more limited then I have seen elsewhere. The staff were very friendly, good amount of magazines, massage chairs. Waited less than 5 minutes. Pedicure itself is decently priced ($24) and good length. However, I've had some chipping since then and felt like the nails weren't very thoroughly trimmed and filed. read more

I've tried to like Ladue Nails and Spa, despite its convenient location, but after multiple visits and yesterday's disaster, I will NEVER return. The place is enormous with lots of "pedi" chairs. It's staffed with lots of people too, who seem to have a lot of time of their hands. If the staff spent more time on YOU and less time watching t.v. and talking on the phone while you're getting a service, it would be more professional. The foot/leg massage that typically accompanies a pedicure was pathetic - lasting about a minute on each leg. When I questioned the duration of the massage, the attendant couldn't understand what I was saying. I decided to drop the whole thing, vowing to never return. Oh sure, there are some very nice people who work there, but when I want a manicure or pedicure I want to feel special and NOT rushed. Ladue Nails and Spa is all about getting you in and getting you out!! Rush, rush, rush!! Hey, the attendants have phone calls to make and t.v. to watch!! This was my first time there. I couldn't get into Beautiful Nail. They were close and busy so I thought why not! Upon coming in no one greeted us, they were rude and ignored my friend and I. Once seated in the pedi chairs the girl I got was friendly but clearly preoccupied. She clipped too far into my cuticle on both big toes causing me to bleed. After the pedi we both got a full set of nails with gel manicure. It has been 4 days and I have lost 2 nails and it looks like I need a fill again already. When we went to pay our prices were different and the lady was so rude when I questioned her about the price. Needless to say I will never be back. This place is a joke!! How they stay in business in such a nice part of town is beyond me! read more

The services I received were great but very pricey! I ended up leaving my credit card there and when I called to confirm it was there I was asked to call back because they were busy. Once I finally had someone confirm they had my card and I show up to retrieve my card they can't find it. Someone reviews the camera at the front desk and they realize they gave my credit card to another client. How do they resolve? They ask me to go to bank and get a new card. The place is large, clean, and offers many different mani/pedis. The down side of this salon is the pressure to do more, add more, change what you want. I was looking for a certain color of nail polish and kept being ushered to the more expensive gel section. Then did I want a wax, then did I want a better pedicure, etc. I do not like hard sell when I come to relax. read more

I went to Ladue Nails in Clayton to get a pedicure and left out with wet feet. The technician refused to finish my pedicure (after taking off my perfectly ok polish) because I asked her to sanitize. She put on gloves to do my pedicure but she was offended by my asking her to sanitize? There's jars of sanitizer are everywhere, but for this place it's just part of the decor. Been going to the Ladue Rd. location for a couple of years as it is convenient from work. I went in 2 weeks ago and had such horrible service. Of course I was asked to upgrade my pedicure and declined. Apparently that pissed off the lady doing my nails. She proceeded to do my nails in a very hurried manor, kept sticking her pointed finger nail under my nails, rinsed my feet with ice cold water, massaged my feet and then let them fall onto the foot rest, tossed my sandals in my lap and said "put your shoes on". Then when she was done she just slammed her case shut and walked off. I sat there kind of in shock, I'm usually taken over to the dryers. left no tip for the second time in my entire life at this place after getting a signature pedicure and a regular manicure. My stylist name was Amy, and it was the worst nail experience I have ever had. she did not ask me which mail packages I was therefore, just started going and then I finally told her what I wanted. She seemed a clumsy and like she did not know what was supposed to come next or what to do, walking away from me several times just to wander around for a minute and then come back. She turned the Jets in the footbath off and on seemingly unable to control the bubbles that built up almost to my knees. My pants where they were rolled up were soaked by the end of it. She used the water that my feet have been soaking in for 15 minutes for me to soak my hands in, she burned my feet with the towels and the hot wax and I told her that both are too hot and she didn't listen, kept going, and told me to just hold still. six out of my 10 fingers and four out of my 10 toes have cuts and nicks on them from her attacking me with her tools, uncaring that I was bleeding she put lemon slices all over my skin as part of the package and put nail polish on the cuts. she didn't clean up any of the polish around my fingernails, so I guess I will take care of that when I get home. At the end she took the towel from under my feet, packed up her things and walked away. She came back a few minutes later, sat in a chair a few seats away from me for a while, took a call and then disappeared. I sat there for about 10 minutes wondering if she was going to get me some of those flip-flops to wear out, but when she never came back and I started to get irritated, well, More irritated than I already was, I went up to the girl who runs the front desk who was sitting playing on her phone and asked her if I could have any shoes and if I could pay. I told her about my experience and how terrible and painful it was and how I would not be coming back, and she charge me full price, $67, and told me to come back again. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not for the price and not for the service or experience. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

RIPPED OFF!!!! This was not a good experience! Went here for my wedding nails, left with them looking like crap. I showed pictures of how I wanted my nails, they said no problem, they look Nothing like it!!! Off shape and uneven, and the girl charged me 20 bucks for a manicure and all she did was trim my cuticles, when I asked her she said oh I forgot???? They were supposed to put Rhine stones but the gems were placed awful, fell off with in a few hours!!! And coaxed with glue they had zero shine! Biggest rip off and ruined my mood before my big day having to get my nails re done last Min tomorrow!!!! Never going here again!!!!! Totally ruined the wedding eve moment with my brides maids. Over price and awful job! Do not recommend. Paid 100 bucks to go home and cry about how awful my nails looked before my wedding. read more

Always try to avoid this place....should have known better..painted over cuticles, but most importantly, they DO NOT sterilize their cuticle and other nail equipment. I think that there should be a health inspection as their practices are not sanitary. read more

The pedicure I had at Ladue Nails 3 YEARS AGO was fine. No complaints! However, my check for $46 was just cashed THIS WEEK -- 3 years later!!! My bank would not budge on it which is another issue but the fact that Ladue Nails had a check for this length of time is absurd!! Most people use plastic or cash to pay I suppose but back then I paid by check. I called to complain and the manager (or the guy who said he was a manager) said it was the owner who handled that part of things and she doesn't keep track of "things like that." I had the worst pedicure of my life here. I chose the callous smoother pedicure. My feet aren't calloused, but I'm 8 months pregnant and it's been a month since my last pedicure. All the lady did was scrub my feet and slap on some polish. She drained the tub and walked away without saying a word to me. I could see the dry skin on my feet and they felt like sandpaper. Even the woman next to me said I should tell someone because that wasn't right. I sat there for 15 mins and my nail tech never came back. So I told 2 different workers, until finally a different lady came out, scrubbed my heels and put some oil on them. There was polish on my cuticles and tops of my toes, and the edges weren't even painted. I will never come back to this place. There are too many nail salons to choose from. read more

If I could I would give this place a - 5 stars. No one greets you at the door they just ask what you want. Everyone was so disgruntled and rude throughout the entire experience I feel as though if you don't want to be at work then go home!!! The girl tried adding on services to my pedi multiple times then when I wanted to change my polish color she told me to pick out a new one and she didn't put any flip flops on me. What a waste of time and money I cannot say enough how terrible the service was the place my look nice but I refuse to throw my money in the trash for that mess I received then I had cash in my hand as I was leaving and she reached for a tip after she snatched my card from the chair mind you. It was horrible service and I really want to report them or share more of my corners and complaints because it was utterly the worst experience I've had in St. Louis!!!! read more

The word "Spa" is what got me - mistake. There is nothing spa-like or relaxing about this place. It's a numbers game - move them in and move them out. I took my granddaughter out for a girls' day to include a mani/pedi - I made an appointment. Didn't matter much. When you walk in you are literally on top of the reception "desk" - there's nowhere to sit and if anyone else is waiting you're climbing over one another. It's one huge room crammed full of chairs and tables. We were absolutely rushed through. Nail polish selection was pitiful. Girls spoke foreign language to each other - you know how uncomfortable that makes people feel? They were also rude when you couldn't understand them. They kept asking if we wanted more services - more upgrades and insulted us trying to get us to buy what we did not want. I'm relatively certain I was charged for things I told them I did not want. Told my granddaughter her cuticles "sucked" and that her eyebrows were hideous. My granddaughter was not happy - it was her first experience (she's 16) and she'd been looking so forward to it. The lady who did her nails would not show her how to use the massage chair - took me 15 minutes to find the remote and the lady in the chair next to me is the one who showed it to me. The place was noisy, crowded, and not entirely sanitary. The footbaths did not appear to be disinfected between uses. My fingernails chipped before the end of the day. The toe nails lasted a couple of weeks. What was supposed to be a special day and experience was not so because of this place. Just because it's in Ladue, doesn't mean it's good. read more

I have been to Ladue Nails and Spa 3 times and each time I have found their service to be horrible! I asked for the deluxe pedicure and from the moment I sat down to the moment I left the lady kept wanting to up the services with a foot massage, then an extra leg massage and then back to a foot massage and then manicure. The more I said no thank you, the sloppier her work became. It's all about the "up sell" and not about customer satisfaction. She also only "understood" English when it was convenient for her. My 29.00 "deluxe" pedicure consisted of me soaking my feet, her filing my toe nails and then painting them, that's it! I was in and out within 20 minutes. "Deluxe"....I hardly think so! My 6 year daughter does a better job than this place! As I left I didn't even get a thank you, or do you like, come back and see us...nothing!! I think it's fair to say that I had a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad experience! My rating for this sorry excuse for a Spa.... is MINUS 5 stars....and I'm being generous!
