I thought I could manage that, and he assured me that I could cancel at any time. Having dealt with similar situations in my seventies, I told him I needed to confirm whether there were any hidden fees. He assured me there were none. Although I didn't read everything thoroughly, he was adamant that I could cancel whenever I wanted. Today, I tried to call to cancel the service, and I had to reach out to Lubbock. They do not accept text messages or emails. The lady I spoke with informed me that if I canceled, I would have to pay a $400 penalty. I explained that this fee was never mentioned to me, not once. Her response was dismissive; she simply stated, "Well, it's too bad." Now they are sending threatening emails. At that point, she canceled my account, but now I feel I have to contest that $400 penalty. I want to warn others, especially seniors, about this experience. They told me everything I wanted to hear, and I ultimately feel scammed. Please stay away from this company.
