We were at the Tanglewood ballroom, and they had a small round table for guests to sit and get their henna. There were two lovely ladies who were there for 3 hours and did the artwork for about 40 people. You could choose to have the henna anywhere, so some people did their outer hands, palms or wrists. The artist who did both of my hands was so quick. The designs were intricate, and she did it from memory. I received many compliments. Some people chose designs from the photos, but I just let her do her thing. Everyone's designs came out so beautiful. I wish I could've done my feet, but my lehenga skirt was long, and I'd have to keep still. I had to remove my watch and bangles. When my hands were finished, I couldn't bend them to let the clay dry as much as possible to avoid ruining the designs. I did it early and wished I would've finished eating first or did one hand at a time. I followed the after care instructions and tried to avoid water. I put a thin layer of Vicks to help keep the design longer. Lemon juice was also recommended by a few guests at our table. My henna lasted about 1.5 weeks before starting to fade. I love henna and wish it could stay forever. Would love to try the black clay sometime. I recommended booking Paisleys & Swirls for events!
