These are very special handcrafted donuts that are dangerously addictive. They are beautifully made with a great variety of flavors to choose from. I especially enjoyed the apple fritter, from the fruity apple topping right down to the honey cruller base. It was absolutely delicious. Dear lady glaze, Your glaze is delicious.... Sitting inside Belmont Village (prob the worst designed parking street thing ever..) is this quaint doughnut shop. There are two roads, one to access the front door parking, the other to drive past the plaza. There is an island that separates the two, so beware. They're open almost every day of the week. Came on a Sunday afternoon and there were still doughnuts available. It's clean, it's cute, it's a bright place. You see a full table where the doughnut makers would be rolling out the dough. At the back line cooling racks with doughnuts. At the front near the payment counter is the display of their daily doughnuts. The treats are about $3-5 each. The apple fritters and whatever their special fritter is, is $5.00. They are quite massive, however. They have a happy hour special where half a dozen doughnuts after 3 pm is $15. That's not a bad deal. The half dozen can be anything you want, including the fritters. So, verdict. Their glaze on the doughnuts are done well. Not too sweet, not too thick. Just right. The doughnut itself is not bad. They're massive. They're lighter than a typical doughnut. However two bites in you can feel how heavy it got. I ordered the Raspberry rose fritter. The raspberry puree is fresh and tart. The rose flavour is strong in this one. There is no sugar in the dough itself. There are bits of white chocolate on the top to sweeten it. after about 2 bites, I found myself pushing it away as I got sick of it really quickly. very dense fritter. flavour was there, but didn't work very well together. The chocolate glaze doughnut was much better. but again, I wouldn't be able to sit and eat a whole one in one sitting. Overall, not a bad place to sit and chill. They have coffee and tea as well. These are by far the best donuts I've ever had in KW. They're so big and there are so many flavours to choose from. Everyone I've introduced to Lady Glaze has become obsessed, even travelling from a long ways away for the donuts! Other than just donuts, they also have delicious milkshakes which you can even get topped with a donut. They have both vegan and non-vegan options. Each month they introduce new flavours and I haven't disliked any. They often have deals going on, such as a dozen for $25 (normally $36) yesterday. I recently tried several flavours and here are my thoughts: The strawberry ring with sprinkles: it's surprisingly full of fresh strawberry flavour and was nice and airy. Christmas in Milan: it was nice and light in flavour but a little bit dry Chocolate orange: the chocolate filling was so thick and delicious!! The orange flavours were strong but not overpowering. Delicious! Not the gumdrop buttons: nice and an interesting shape. The gingerbread filling is a little much which made it hard to taste the other flavours Cranberry, white chocolate cheesecake: stuffed to the absolute max with cheesecake filling. We've been using the online ordering form - very easy and straightforward to use! We've figured out our favourites (strawberry glaze, wild berry fritter, Belmont cream) and our not-so-favourites (malted chocolate) but what wins every time is the donut itself. They are just delightful and fluffy and perfect. Everyone will have different preferences for the glaze but love the unique flavour offerings and trying them all out. As a heads up, they obviously taste the best fresh from the bakery the day of, but I find they keep okay for 1-2 days in the fridge with a quick reheat in the microwave. read more

New donut shop in Belmont Village that opened November 2019. This spacious cafe has donuts and coffee available. When I arrived at 3pm in the afternoon, there were 3 types available and two which were vegan. I tried the vanilla glazed with sprinkles and was shocked by how large they were! I found the texture to be chewier. There was a bit of tang to it, not sure if lemon in the glaze? While I can't say I'm a donut connoisseur, I would personally prefer a smaller size. Decent but I wasn't crazy about it. Will have to come back and try the drinks. At this time, they only accept cash and debit. read more

I go to the University of Waterloo, and these are the best doughnuts close by. Super dough-y doughnuts with a great selection of flavours. Make sure you come early or call ahead as they run out quick. We placed multiple dozen orders however when it came to asking for extra boxes beware its extra charge. read more

First visit blew me away. Belmont Village has made a wonderful transformation of its parking area into an outdoor dining area. We stood in line out there for LGD. I wanted a special gift for a friend who has been very ill. LGD delivered so well. They chose a delightful selection of a dozen donuts, boxed them up and described each donut as it was packed carefully into the pretty box. read more

This new doughnut shop has been open almost a month. I finally got there when they had donuts left lol - around lunch time on a saturday. They had 7 varieties. I tried the berry filled powder donut and the eggnog filled topped with a Carmel dip. I'd say the eggnog donut was better. Both were a tad on the dry side - but better than being super oily. I do prefer yeast style donuts. The staff was okay, didn't offer any information or smile, but they served donuts efficiently. The space is cute with murals and a long counter where you can watch your treats being made. I really wanted just a plain glazed or just a cinnamon sugar - as that's the ultimate test of a donut. Maybe next time. If the donuts are consistent I might consider a 4 star later. It's within walking distance for me which is good/bad lol. The shocker for me was the PRICE! Their classic flavours are $3 and special flavours $4, and you get no discount for buying larger quantities which is strange. Most places I go a single donut will be $2-$3 at most. Next time I need to order donuts for an event (which I strangely do often) simply due to price I will be going elsewhere. read more

So I have been to the Belmont location a few times. The first time I went, my partner and I each had a milkshake with the donut on top. The donut was good, however the milkshakes didn't taste very good and we were unable to finish them for that reason. I thought they might just not be as good as the milkshake part but they look cool for an Instagram photo at least. The next two times I went because of having a gift card and unfortunately this time the donuts were either very bland, and bready or just had weird flavor combinations. Now I know they are trying to be creative with flavors, and I respect that. However, some flavors do not work as well together. They tend to change the flavors around very often which makes it hard to find a donut you can go back for. Again, I respect their creativity but I think they need to work on perfecting a recipe first while maintaining that creative element. For me it always comes down to flavor, and I want to add that so far their peach fritter has been consistently delicious.
