This is their opening weekend and due to my having to drive there in the middle of the day, I was only able to pursue the latter. That's OK, because the latter was being offered in abundance AND what's more, it was all discounted due to opening weekend! Even a wine & spirits enthusiast like Yours, Truly, will take a good sale over a drink any day of the week. The store is sectioned according to each boutique (the store is a collective). Focus seems to be on indie designers. There is a wicked jean selection, and a variety of clothing styles to suit every taste, including my own, which I might add, is quite picky. I especially appreciated the super cute coat and jackets they have right now (to the right as you enter the store) and the studded purses and bunches of blingy costume jewelry and other accessories artfully strewn about the store. I should also add that the ambiance of the store lends itself very well to shopping, drinking and socializing. I LOVE the fashion plate murals on the wall and unique mannequins. Ceilings are super high and the vibe is that of an exclusive, trendy boutique, yet the staff are all extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I couldn't help but think if this store, which has the vibe of a Soho boutique, actually had to exist in Soho, well, let's just say it wouldn't be possible to find an outfit that didn't set us back a paycheck or two (that's not to say I WOULDN'T be inspired to lose a paycheck here). Like I said, I didn't drink from the bar (oh, I was tempted!), but I am looking forward to going back when I have an escort, perhaps on an evening when there is an event going on (they are going to have DJ events according to the website). My consultant really listened to my likes and dislikes, adjusting the options of dresses that she brought me based on feedback I provided. At the end she convinced me to try a wildcard dress with an entirely different silhouette than I thought I had wanted but still retained other elements that I was looking for in a dress and I'm so glad she did because that ended up being the winner. I didn't end up purchasing a gown on the day of my appointment but it was easy to call back and purchase it over the phone. I also had Gown Gallery complete alterations, the seamstress was lovely to work with and helped get the dress to fit me perfectly. I would definitely recommend future brides go to Gown Gallery!

Ricca Sposa is such a unique experience that I fell in love with the second dress I tried on there. I had a very specific vision for what I wanted in a dress that I couldn't find at the other three stores I went to. Here I am able to work with the designer to customize several details on the dress as it's being made! One thing I also enjoyed about the appointment was that I had the entire shop to myself. It is a small boutique with very unique gowns. If that's what you are looking for (I was), then I would highly recommend this place! I am so grateful it was recommended to me!

Then it turned into July, then October, and still nothing as of November 2nd. Went to the store and told me that it wasn't supposed to ship until November 13th with an unknown arrival date. After 9 months of waiting and empty promises, and only 6 months to go until my wedding day, I cancelled the order. After some research, I found Ricca Sposa to be the next closet Pronovias retailer - 4 hours away. Karina was amazing with everything being handled over the phone. She reassured me through the whole process and was extremely responsive with any questions I had. Without asking, they lowered the price to almost match the previous purchase cost from the other store. I ordered my dress in the afternoon of 11/2 and it already arrived to their store in the afternoon of 11/11. Karina was kind enough to call me the minute the dress arrived and sent a quick video before sending it off. It arrived at my house less than 24 hours later. As excited as I was, I forgot to message her and inform her of the arrival. She emailed me at 7 am this morning (the next day) to make sure I received it. I truly can't express how grateful I am for Karina making my dream dress become a reality during a stressful time.

They have since moved to Crown Center area and reside on the upper floor. It makes me happy just walking in this store, customer service typically says hi, asks if we need anything and has always offered to help. My favorite associate is Paula, do yourself a favor and find her when you arrive and have her help/support you. As any higher end retailer you can expect to pay top dollar for name brand designers and service. I like to buy more timeless pieces so I don't mind paying extra for jeans that I keep for 15+ years or tops that last through the trends. I do enjoy their sales, when they have them. I recently bought my first piece of Tumi luggage from Halls, they honor the Tumi sales that are held online. The sales associate knew all about the luggage and helped me find the perfect piece. If they don't have something in your size at the store they are more than happy to ask their sales team to order it, they will call you when it arrives. They also offer alterations, these can be free depending on the work that needs to be done. They have make-up, a cafe, shoes, purses, luggage, women/men's clothing and junior styles. Parking is located in the attached parking garage which is free on the weekends and fills up fast! One of my favorite stores in KC.

I was expecting a lot larger footprint, especially since this is the only Halls and it was in the Crown Center. They had one section for Kansas City stuff and sadly it was all Chiefs/Royals related. I can understand why they would decided to overload on that but I felt it kind of strange they didn't have ANYTHING else. Not even their own branded merch or barbecue related. I ended up buying something at the airport.
