This is a large, beautiful RV park. Friendly staff. Well maintained. Nice small lake, 2 swimming pools. Level spaces with well maintained concrete pads. A lot of restaurants close by, a candy and ice cream store also close by. Definitely recommend this park. We would stay more nights if we didn't have plans to move on. read more

Spent one night passing through. Very close to I 10, we didn't have any issues with noise, but the a/c and fan was on. We were given wristbands to identify ourselves as guests, I was told that some people were just entering and using their facilities. The hostess at the desk was very friendly and gave us solid recommendations for gas. Thank you! We were near a beautiful lake. But the area we were in was very, very tight. Our picnic table was literally on top of the neighbor's sewer hose. (See picture) This is the older area to the park, I believe the newer section has more room. If you're staying longer make sure you ask for that. The pool was very busy, lots of fun happening. read more

Traveling from Florida to Louisiana I had no idea where I would end up stopping for the night, so after crossing the state line I decided it was probably time to start making a reservation. We called the KOA located in Scott, Louisiana, and after answering a few simple questions to ensure we would be matched up with the right site and issuing a credit card we were all set, and shortly afterwards received an email confirmation. We arrived late afternoon and after a short check in we were directed by a staff member in a golf cart to our campsite. He directed me into the pull-through space and checked the utilities before waving good-bye (you just can't be the southern hospitality). Being we were only staying the night I was only concerned about a 50 amp electrical service and fresh water and both were easily accessible, I did a quick check of the electrical service and found it clean and there was plenty of water pressure so we were set. This KOA was mostly filled even though it was the weekend before the Memorial Day weekend which somewhat surprised me, but after interacting with the friendly staff here and seeing all the amenities it should have been no surprise at all this place is really nice. This is a wonderful campground and I'd return here without hesitation - we also picked up the KOA value card and saved 10% on this stay. I did like that the sites aren't right on top of each other and that all the pads seem to be fairly level and the pull-through site allow me to leave the tow connected to make for a easy exit in the morning. I know there are lots of options but I doubt many in the area matches this level of service and accommodations... read more

We made the mistake of taking a site near the playground which is so close to the freeway you have to yell to speak to each other outside. The roads around the camp ground are narrow and tore up. At 8 am my children and I were accosted by a man who took to hiding behind trees and then hopped the wooden fence into the residential area when my husband went after him. Stay on the other side of the lake or don't stay here. read more

Great night at this campsite-didn't take in any of the amenities but just a good place

We stopped here on our way to Grand Isle, as luck would have it the truck broke down. We were here 10 days!! The staff was so helpful and friendly, every day we went up to add another day, Kriston would tell us something fun to do, places to eat. We went North, South, East, and West, from the campground. We had a great time, always got to swim each night! I would highly recommend this campground to anyone who goes to Lafayette Louisiana!! We were on our way to Beaumont Texas (half way stop from Alabama to Kerrville Texas) when we decide 8 hours was all we could travel. We had hit storms along the way which slowed us down. We passed this KOA off I-10 West. We called and they were very nice. She told me they could accommodate a 41' Motorocoach. When we arrived we were greeted by Cameron. He was spectacular. We were tired and so very appreciative. He led to space 318. A very nice, new section of the park on the other side of a beautiful lake. Cameron stayed with us until we got our RV in the spot. Cameron is certainly an asset to KOA. Thank you for being there and do very kind to us. We will definitely recommend this KOA to our friends who travel full time. This campground is the best we have stayed at during our trip The shower house is very clean. The water pressure is great. The laundry room is large with alot of washer and dryer available to use. The laundry room has a TV iron, iron board, tables chairs. Lots of room to get laundry done. The staff was very friendly and gave us information on the area. They let us pick our lot when we arrived. They also informed us of additional discount available for staying another night which we did. The campground had a lake.pool and cabins available We will be back to this campground again when we come back to this area. read more

Haven't stayed here but it looks great! Clean wide spots all look out over the lake! Fish, paddle boats, etc. The Only prob is Interstate 10 right alongside! But it's pretty! read more

I agree 100% with previous Yelper. The place is unacceptable if you are a tent camper. There is no protection for tents that are about 100 feet from a major loud freeway. There was no sleep the first night, so I canceled my second night and drove on. I would recommend that the owners explain this to tent campers. The RV'ers probably had a much better go of it, and the families who come for a day of swimming looked like they had fun. The staff however, were extremely friendly, helpful and understanding. I would give more stars for that, but we aren't allowed half stars. read more

We absolutely love this place. The staff here are so awesome..so very friendly! Campground has lots of shady sites ....very well-kept. Lots of amenities. The new addition is simply amazing...beautiful rv sites right on the lake. Cottages on the lake features covered patio area with bbq pits , a porch swing and table n chairs. We stayed here in our 28' travel trailer during our cross country trip/relocation. We were a late night arrival as we were seeking refuge from weather. Our site was right near I-10, so there was road noise to contend with, but both of us were so tired we didn't mind. The next morning I used their laundry facility and was blown away with how clean they were. I was so impressed I didn't mind the $2.00 to wash fee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If we ever are back in Louisiana we will definitely be staying here. (And maybe this time not to escape weather but to actually fish and enjoy ourselves a bit!) read more

This very clean, quaint campground is located on the I-10 corridor, conveniently nestled far enough from the Interstate to preserve some peace and quiet. It is configured around a large pond. I found the owners extremely helpful, offering to find just the right spot for me on a very hot summer day. They have a nicely stocked camp store which seemed reasonably priced. The restrooms are clean. I've spent a total of two nights at this campground though they were so good to me that I will be back for a longer stay during my travels. read more

If you arrive after the office closes do not fear, they will still take care of you. Just call for instructions. Several cabins. Pull through for any size. Two pools. long walkway with Duce bags for your dogs. Close to wonderful food! Miniature golf and paddle boats to use on the lake. Camp spots surround 3 sides if this lake so several are lakeside spots. Lots of tent spots too so take your pick. From check in to check out we were blessed to stay in this beautiful campground. The staff were ultra friendly and eased our burden as we were in the Lafayette area for a funeral. Not that I can thank everyone but do want to thank Duane and Jay for your hospitality, as well as Kim for her friendliness during this difficult time. We were in site 151 which easily accommodated our 24 foot motorhome and gave us perfect reception for our satellite dish. We hope to one day return to the campground to have a family reunion. read more

We decided to stop at this KOA on our way to New Orleans based on the great ratings on the KOA website. We were traveling in a 36' motorhome and had a good pull-through site. The park is very pretty with a large pond and lots of large trees. The staff was fabulous and even helped us with water and sewer hookups. Some people have noted the noise from the highway... we didn't notice it at all. I think it is more apparent if tent camping. The bathrooms were clean, nice hot showers with plenty of water pressure. We enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely stay at this park again. read more

We camp in a small RV - 19 feet. We found this to be a very nice KOA. We are making our way from California to the east coast. We have camped at several KOA's and this is one of the Nicer ones - large shade trees, Clean Bathrooms which are modern and flat concrete pads. Friendly staff. read more

Our A/C went out and there was a technician on property that helped us. The front desk staff was also very helpful. We did not venture out from the campground much but we really enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and paddle boating. All of the spaces were shaded. read more

Stayed one night with online resevation booked. Active duty AF move west. Narrow streets blocked with pick ups and cars. No rules for parking observed. Difficult to drive down as map takes one across family style playground bbq tennis areas. Security? He went the wrong way and asked our 34 ft unit to move so he could pass versus gling back by campstore front. Sites crowded awnings hitting anothers slides!! Loud music till 11 pm. Poorly run will not stay again Sad because the front desk folks nice but riff raff that stay as a second home make it seem run down. Keep driving. Been camping 15 years with travel trailers and now jayco greyhawk now in our fourties never seem such a red neck rivera in all my travels across the US. Reviews for award winning must not be staying over night Our reservation was not honored and being put next to the three family units drinking and yelling is not my idea of a camping experience. Sorry to give a poor review. read more
