The park is very nice and the pool is brand new but the air filter in the cabin was clogged and the floor made our feet black. Also almost everything was broken on the kids side. Other than that our stay was nice and the food was very good and cheap. read more

I'm writing this review as I sit in our cabin. The cabin was disgusting when we walked in. We bought cleaning supplies to clean the place. The towels in the cabin were dirty/used, live spiders in the windows, the smell was atrocious, hair from others all over the cabin, front desk and management do not return calls, towels have to be requested multiple times on the phone and in person. NOONE has gotten back on to ask if I could hold another minute. Camp Margaritaville RV Resort you will not get to entertain my visiting. There are plenty of other businesses. And secondly, your prices are way too expensive. If this is how your phone calls are treated, I can only imagine how you would treat your guests. As I am closing this review, I have now been on hold for over 16 minutes. Finally, my call was answered. My question was answered but I had another question. As full-time RV'ers from the Phoenix area, this is our second (30-day) stay in 15 months.. It's became one of our favorite resorts to relax in. The area has many places to explore I.E. Swamp Tour, Tabasco Museum, Jungle Gardens, Baton Rouge's Zoo, Cajun Dome (for concerts), and the place have been friendly & pleasant. The resort has pools, a dog park, golf cart rentals, cabins, a well-stocked store and their customer service, in the office & at the bar, are amazing. Professional and friendly staff. The work-out area is adequate. All areas are well maintained and provide a relaxing environment. Every store, restaurant and other necessary utilities are all within a very reasonable distant from the resort. Great value for their price point. Highly recommend 5 out of 5!! Probably wouldn't go back even if it was free. Overhyped, constant loud music , too expensive....but probably a perfect place for unsupervised kids and their day-drinking 30/40-something parents who still yearn for that obnoxious Disney-esque experience without the rides or Mickey. The good: level, wide, concrete pads with decent utility hook-ups. Get a site as far away from the pool area as possible for your own sanity, and go on a local swamp boat tour. read more

We've been here several times and each time is a pretty different experience. They have multiple pools, free and paid crafts to do, stuff a plush (similar to build a bear), swim up bars, walk up bars, concession stands, ponds (supposed to be stocked but we've never caught anything or seen anyone catch anything), small water slide (two big slides and two small slides, really the perfect size attraction) etc. There's a lot to do but a lot to be desired as well and it really boils down to spending most of your time in the pool or at the water park if you have kids. Be aware you will be spending quite a bit on food, activities (arcade, crafts, Dino park) if you want to stay busy without using the pool. If that's what you're looking for this is a great place but for us, 4 days for $1,200 is steep for mostly swimming. The workers are mostly teens and they are some really great kids. Polite, helpful and down to earth. The only issue I witnessed with a worker was the kid supervising the big slides flirting with the girls and getting them to buy him soft drinks, these girls were very young and it was weird. Also letting kids go down three at a time which was really unsafe. The pool should be better supervised though. There's no lifeguard and I pulled two kids up from sinking, very irresponsible to have a bar in the pool and no lifeguard. We pulled up several plastic cups from the pool and there was a lot of trash like empty cups that people leave on side of the pool that stayed there for hours. The trash cans should really have the swinging lids bc the flies are terrible. Napkins and food containers were surrounding the trash cans from people missing and it wasn't picked up for hours either. Drinks were never consistent and definitely lacked flavor. I would highly suggest renting a golf cart when you go. There's a laundry facility and it is kept really clean and cheap to use. Our room was cleaned at the same level hotels are cleaned which is mostly surface and the renters before you are who washed the dishes so I would either wash them yourself or bring disposables. A big downside is they don't replenish towels. At $1200 for 4 days, nobody wants to spend two hours washing towels. They added a gym and it's really nice with standard equipment, very clean and easy to get in. Had a lot of nice people there and we had a pretty good time. I would recommend traveling to Lafayette for dinner if you're going out to eat. The concession stand is very reasonably priced and pretty good food. The workers are back there getting food out really quickly with the amount of volume. The playground isn't fully covered and it was extremely hot to touch when we visited and we decided to opt out. Overall I'm sure we'll eventually go back and I would definitely recommend to at least give it a try. Especially for the hospitality and kid friendliness. And it's worth noting Margaritaville didn't build this place, they took over a previously built establishment and made it a lot nicer than it was (we started going back when it was still Cajun Palms). So the lack of amenities/attractions is mostly because they just weren't originally built and they've done a lot with the property since acquiring it. read more

We had a great time at the campsite -- it was well-maintained, and the entire campground was very clean. Definitely a solid spot for a relaxing getaway. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the pool area. The music was blasting so loud that it was tough to have a conversation, which took away from the relaxing vibe. Also, since it's a Margaritaville resort, I was surprised (and a little disappointed) that I didn't hear a single Jimmy Buffett song during our five-day stay. A few tweaks to the atmosphere, and this would easily be a 5-star experience! read more

My wife and I when to the bar to get a Margarita. There was another couple there talking to bartender, we sat one set apart from them. The bartender kept talking, never looked at us, acknowledged us, or said anything to us. After waiting for at least three minutes, we left. The bartender was either 1. Poorly trained. 2. Young and didn't know better. 3. Or something else. Either way you cut it, it's a poor reflection on management. I haven't been treated that way since the 60's. Needless to say I won't be coming back here. This appears to be over rated. read more

I stood there and waited forever for a beer with 5 bartenders behind the bar and not one of them even looked at me! The guy next to me was also complaining about how none of them want to be at work! Can't Margaritaville definitely does have everything for the children to have a wonderful time. Beware of the condition of all the pools. They definitely need to add more chlorine and get someone there to clean them. They are cloudy full of algae and also have black mold which is visible to the eye at the slide pool and the others. it's gross and until the condition is better we won't be back. Also noticed that in a two hours span no one gets out to potty. read more

If you want to go here, make sure it's during the in season portion... memorial day to labor day. We went during the off-season (nov) and were disappointed. The hot tub was closed, 3/4 of the washers and dryers in the 2 laundry rooms were out of service, and it takes them 24+ hours to pick up your trash. We like to play horseshoes and were happy to see it on the map. Well, we tried to find them, and there's now a building where they were. Why are they still on the map??? We did enjoy the live music on Friday and Saturday, but the DJ Saturday night needs to update his playlist. Didn't know any of the popular songs we requested. Sites are nice and large and look like it would be a blast in season. The store was nice and is one of a few we have seen that sells alcohol. read more

We stayed here in the early summer of 2021. It was particularly hot that week and the heat radiating off the concrete was intense, as this RV resort is like a huge concrete jungle. There must be several hundred spots and it was definitely crowded; however, the spots were roomy enough so as not to feel overly crowded by your neighbors. This park can and does accommodate large groups. A lot of people love Cajun Palms, and I definitely liked it a lot. However, this park is a little too big for anyone seeking a quiet camping experience, as this is a noisy park. Not noisy in the obnoxious sense, but just busy with sounds from the constant movement or RV's, travel trailers, golf carts and kids playing. I have a 9-year old son and am used to noise; therefore, this is not a real issue for me. However, this is not the place to go for a quiet weekend getaway. However, if you have kids or a large family group, Cajun Palms will suite you just fine. The are lots of amenities to include, but not limited to: Three Swimming Pools 2 Water Slides Poolside Patio Tanning Deck around the Zero Entry Pool Hot Tub (18 and over) Fishing Pond Fast Track - Bumper Cars, Laser Tag, Arcade, VR room, XD Theater, Mini Golf. (not included with the price of your reservation) Prehistoric Park (Not included with price of your reservation). There is also a convenience store, fitness center and laundry facilities. While guests at Cajun Palms, we spent a lot of time at the pool, as my son loves the water. The pool is crowded and no outside food or drinks are allowed, with the possible exception of water. However, there is a snack bar on-site. The Prehistoric Park was a little of a letdown, as a lot of the dinosaurs are showing their age and need some repairs made. However, the walking path is nice and the foliage is so thick that you feel like you are truly in a prehistoric setting. The Fast track was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed the putt putt (mini-golf) and loved the Route 66 themed course. The go-carts were a lot of fun and kudos for putting a roof over the track so that weather (rain) cannot interrupt the fun. I am not a big fan of arcades, as they are money pits; however, my son had a great time. Overall, we had a very good time here. read more

The cabins were fair in style except for the cement floors with huge cracks in them. The constant killing of spiders and other bugs. The good news is that each of the mattresses has covered to protect against bed bugs. There aren't enough garbage bags, nor towels nor toilet paper. The Wi-Fi is a total lie and they make zero effort to fix it. They sent the high school staff to the room with zero follow up. I was supposed to work but that wasn't a bother for anyone. The manager just told me it's free so there is nothing we can do. If I was able to sign in there would have been a paid version I was totally willing to pay for. The kids pool is disgusting and filthy. We were there for 10 minutes and the high schools staff was fishing out poop turds. Whistle blown and everyone out. People just stand and poss and shit in the pool. They have rental golf carts which was nice. And the location was good. Near McD and the crawfish town. We won't be back. But this is what is expected I guess. Hotels are cheaper and at better appointed. This is only an opinion of one. If you have an RV maybe it's a better experience. read more

This is a neat place and we enjoyed our stay. The pools are decent although we found it better suited for young kids and adults. There is a gap for older kids with the kids area having smaller slides. The nearby go carts were a blast and with food on site and at CTs next door there are plenty of good options. Loved the entry ,loved the scenery, with water everywhere ,slides and pools. The tiki decor gives a very tropical vibe. If you dont have a golf cart request a spot closer to the bar and pools. All amenities close around 9pm so try to get in early as possible. The wooden tables are dated, with mites running throughout, personally nothing i would sit on outright. I would only come on a weekend the weekdays are dry with weak drinks and cold hot tubs. Its overall a very beautiful place for a family. read more

Let's start with the cabin.....it was not the cleanest. Plastic wrapped mattresses aren't exactly the most comfortable. They make for a sweaty night sleep. Had to bring my own towels for pool. Charging $12 a day for WifI?! Really? I'm paying almost $200 a night sleeping on plastic wrapped mattress, bringing my own towels, and still paying for wifi is absurd! Pool hours are so inconsistent! They post that they close at 9:00. I show up at 7:00 to the kiddie pool and it's closed. WHAT!? Why post hours if you don't follow them? My autistic kid just had a meltdown because the slides were closed at 7 when they just told me that the pool closed at 9. No one mentioned "kiddie pool" hours. Three different employees all told me different times. One even told me it closes when it starts to get dark. Who does that????!!! Needless to say, we won't be back anytime soon. read more

By appearance, the resort looks great. There are pros and cons however. First the cons: 1. The WiFi is HORRIBLE!!!! We could never get our TV or phones connected to it to work. If you have Verizon, good luck using your phone. 2. They do not enforce quiet times (10:30pm - 8am). We had to call at almost midnight one night to get security to go shut down loud music and partying going on a few slips from ours. 3. They allow golf carts to ride around blaring music. While music is fine, there should be some notice or warning to have it not be blaring. 4. You are limited to 8 passes for you and your visitors - and that's not for the pool area - that's all you can have PERIOD for visitors and yourselves. My husband finally got them to agree to 10 - that 2 of our visitors are people in their 70s and would not be using any facilities. 5. Day passes for your guests - whether they use the pool area or any other facilities are $26 PER DAY PER PERSON!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous but we had to buy them so family could visit us while we were there PROS: 1. Margaritaville has done a good job sprucing up the place and adding to the old Cajun Palms RV resort 2. They offer an adult only pool with a swim up bar 3. The resort itself is very well maintained and clean 4. They have bars and restaurants onsite. Of course I couldn't experience any of them or the pool since I didn't have one of the 10 wristbands that you had to wear if you were staying there or a guest We would go back again but doubt we would plan on having as many visitors come see us while we were there. It added over $125 a day! read more

Was at a local facility minutes from Cajun Palm talking to the worker & she told us about how she was at Cajun visiting w/ a friend sitting at the bar spending her money & the owner approached them & asked if they were camping their & she said yes. The owner then asked if they were locals & she again replied yes. The owner then turned to his worker & said "And this is why I'am high to keep out the local trash". I was appalled. I will NEVER come to this place again. I am only here now because we have never been & friends were booked for the holiday Not about parking lot camping. I will start with the Pro's PRO: GROUNDS: Clean & so is the bathhouse connected behind the check-in office RULES: They enforce WALMART: 15 minutes away if you forgot something CON: CAJUN PALMS PURCHASES: BE WARNED! You buy a drink at the Cajun Palms store you better take it back to your site & drink it b/c your NOT allowed to drink it anywhere else. Now that your looking at this review doing the Scooby Doo (Huh????). You CANNOT buy a Cajun Palms drink from the Cajun Palms store & drink it at the Cajun Palms gift store, or by the Cajun Palms pool, OR standing next to the Cajuns Palms snack shack that sells THE SAME drink. You heard me right. And they do not tell you this. They just take your money SITES: As noted, parking lots. Sitting outside your camper doesn't relax your brain but keeps it busy with camper truck, camper truck, camper truck. The layout in the parking is crappy when it comes to getting from the pool back to your site because the small patch of grass you have b/t the next camper those coming from the pool stroll right thru your shit. AND THE ADULTS ARE WORSE. They don't ask, they don't excuse themselves. They just stroll straight thru your business. CAMPGROUND PO-PO: Friends we're heading back to their site from their daughters cabin & they were pulled over in their golf cart (it is 10:15pm) by security & asked if they were heading to their site & that they needed to get there b/c 10pm was curfew. It is not like they had twin turbo's on their golf cart hoping to run into Ryan Martin & the Fireball Camero & taking him out. They were quiet, no loud music but apparently out passed curfew. Needless to say within 24 hours of being there I was ready to leave. Won't be back. read more

No pools open, no fishing, no bars, no restaurants. Nada, zip, zilch. Same outlandish price and all you get is a parking spot. Oh, and wifi costs $12.00 per day! This place is AMAZING!!!! We arrived today and the pool facilities are great for kids! They will not allow you to bring your own beer into the pool area, only water. But, when you check in, they give you a wrist band and you register to a credit card or PayPal/Venmo and buy drinks and food that way with a PIN number. We're currently on our third day of a six night stay. We brought our RV here for a kid friendly vacation and they're loving the pool, miniature golf, and many other activities. They even host a kid movie daily in their own theater. I gave four out of five stars as the price was a bit steep after adding 3 extra persons charges at $20.00 a day. An extra $360 on top of our RV site rental of about $250. The full hookup site was roughly $40 a day. The first four persons are included in the RV site rental. Any person three or over, my littlest is 3 years 2 months, have to pay the extra person charge. The grounds are immaculate. The staff is friendly and happy. Seems like a great summer job for all of these school kids out on summer break. As I was checking for reservations, the weekends are almost completely booked. As I write this, it's a Wednesday and the sites are probably 40% full. I imagine we'll see the capacity crowds on Friday. Hopefully in the future, we'll see a discount on the extra person charge for weekly stays. I'd like to return many times in the future, but might have to leave a kid or two at home. :-). Kidding. It's not camping in the woods, but this is what RVing is about, family time. read more

After telling them that this would be the first time we have ever hooking up, Ed said to us "no problem, I will show you everything you need to know". Ed graciously came to our camping spot to help us in our wry step of hooking up. He is the nicest and sweetest gentleman. If it was not for Ed it would have been a long night of not knowing and frustration. I am truly grateful and happy we decided to stay at this KOA. Thank you Ed! We have driven thru many times. Finally planned a trip their for Bayoufest with another family member and their RV for Memorial day, end of May. We made the reservation on Jan. 19th. February 7th we find no Bayoufest this year and call to use the 72 hour cancellation policy, we are over 100 days out. They say they will keep our 62 dollar deposit. We can use it there within a year. That is not what we call, an honest method for a cancellation policy. Thankfully we have the credit card bank to file a dispute. We do not think this is the right way to treat a customer. We wonder what else they might pull if we stayed. We will not be staying there. read more

Great full service RV Park. We liked the layout and spacious sites with concrete pads and lots of space between sites. We enjoyed Rudy our bikes and plenty of space to walk your animals. Adult pools were great and relaxing with full service swim up bar. No kids allowed in that area. Lots to do for family. We will definitely go back but during week only. Full of families on weekend. The employees are epic. Very friendly and helpful. The local people we talked to who were in the site across from us love it here and are very proud of the gentleman that built it and all that he contributes to the community. From the crowd, I'd say they all feel this way. We were traveling from Texas to Florida on Saturday July 6th and just needed a place to spend the night. Had we known this was a huge Disney land type crowd, we would not have stopped here. This place was too crowded and noisy for our taste... (Approximately 400 RV lots and I don't know how many cabins.) but it may have been that way due to the July 4th weekend celebrations so our experience may not be typical. The oldest area for RVs to park looked nice and spacious with a lot of grassy areas. The newest addition for RVs is basically a parking lot with RVs sites too short. RVs were sticking out of both ends of their lots and the narrow paths to drive your RV down is barely passable. We narrowly fit through one as we were escorted to our lot. The new rv area is far away from the pool, playground , bathhouse and all other amenities. When we checked in, we had to go around the traffic circle (by the pool and all the other amenities) The circle was packed with parked golf carts making it impossible to get around with our 45' bus towing a vehicle. Nothing like more stress at the end of a trip. This is probably a great stop for families that have kids that need to unwind after a long trip. Just not our cup of tea read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!! Due to the overwhelming and overcrowding of RVs our connection for electricity kept shorting out to the point where maintenance had to come and switch out the circuit breaker. RV resorts should be built to withstand a certain amount of capacity and if not then they shouldn't overcrowd it! On the day of us leaving we were disconnecting everything which includes the sewer hook ups and the the drain started leaking due to a faulty neck on the drain and also overflowed in our spot we called the office and complained they sent over two teenage boys to come fix it and they showed up and complained about the smell!! In addition to all of this we couldn't enjoy the pool or the water park bc it was waaaayyy to packed and should've had a certain limit of capacity but didn't! It's over priced and WiFi isn't even included you have to pay extra this place is everything but accommodating to say the least they allow intoxicated people to operate golf carts with children running around. We've been to other rv resorts and I have to say that BILOXI BAY RV RESORT& MARINA is by far the best!!! the whole point of a resort is to to be able to relax and get away from reality for a bit and Biloxi Bay is definitely that!! I will never come back here again! The only good thing that came from here was our refund! read more

It is an RV resort. Sort of like a party in a parking lot. They try and make it a park like setting with a fish pond, ducks and newly planted trees (no shade yet). On one side of the park there are oak like trees. On the other side are mostly dead palms. If you get put on the palm side, don't expect wi-fi. We were told they are constantly working on that side trying to fix it. The other side has great wi-fi. Check in was easy. Check out, not so much. We had to leave early because of park issues and were treated coldly. When we got home, we noticed that they charged us for the night we were not there, even after they assured us they would not. Still working on this issue. The shower houses are very nice. The pool area gets very crowded early and it is hard to find a seat. read more

This place was fun and clean, and looked well designed. That is, however, except for the 15 inch curb around the center island that one must traverse to get to a spot. This caught the underside of my bus for some fairly significant damage. We arrived after dark, so a heads-up would have been nice. The night we were there must have been a LSU game. There were drunks in golf carts EVERYWHERE! We left for dinner and returned at 10 pm to Silence! They had all been chased away. The problems were mostly mine. I would definitely return. read more

The website made this place look great, so we gave it a try. Reality: The sites are close together. It looks close to a RV dealership with so many rigs so close together. You are given a long rules sheet, which is absolutely ignored by many campers, and not enforced by staff. Downsides: Vehicles protruding into the narrow streets. 5 MPH speed limit ignored. Vehicles and MANY golf carts going the wrong way on one way streets. People openly consuming alcohol while driving golf carts. Music so loud in the pool area you can't hold a normal voice level conversation. Partying boozers everywhere. Kids running wild on foot and bicycles. Upsides: If you like loud, if you like to booze it up everywhere in the campground including streets and while driving golf carts, if you want to let your kids run wild, then you will love it. read more

Stayed here for a night as part of a group of caravaners heading to Key West. I rented one of the 20 cabins located on the property. It was large with a kitchen and king sized bed. It was clean and comfortable. Parking was outside the door. The camp had many RV slots all which looked adequate for any size rig. There are plenty of activities and a large pool. During my stay it was in the off season so not many people were on property. It would be a fun place in season from the looks of the facility. read more

Everything was great EXCEPT for the checkout. I counted over 20 people checking out without a MASK. This is not acceptable. If only one of those people was positive, could be deadly. The girl checking out was very apologetic. She said they tried but people could get very angry. If I contract COVID within the next two weeks I would have to include the park as a possibility. Why put sign on your door if you will not enforce. My suggestion would be to have an outdoor checkout for people who refuse to consider safety of others. read more
