Our shuttle showed up half hour late because of rush hour traffic, which makes no sense because rush hour always happens at a regular time period every day, and they should have planned for this. On top of that, the driver and woman staffing the desk were disorganized with checking tickets and loading passengers, and the two of them were bickering. This surprised me because I had used Lafayette Limo years ago when I visited my parents at Purdue, and my experience was satisfactory. Furthermore, my parents had regularly used Lafayette Limo for their trips between Chicago and Purdue or Indy and Purdue, and they never had any complaints. Despite the negative reviews, I decided to proceed with Lafayette Limo. In summary, I'm pleased with my decision to choose Lafayette Limo, and I made a mental note to write an honest and positive review to counterbalance the negative ones. Instead of preordering tickets online, I purchased them directly from the drivers for both legs of the trip. Although it was slightly more expensive, I preferred the flexibility this option provided. A day before my journey, I called their office to inform them of the number of people and the amount of luggage I had. On both occasions, someone answered the phone promptly, and they were courteous. On the day I traveled from Indianapolis to Purdue, I followed their YouTube video guide, which explained how to locate the ticketing area and the limo pickup spot at IND. The video was extremely helpful, and everything went smoothly, from obtaining my ticket near the car rental area to finding the designated limo pickup point. A large van arrived at the pickup location, and I noticed around 10 or 11 passengers disembarking. With that number of people, the van might have felt somewhat cramped, but since there were only four of us on my trip, we had plenty of space. I dozed off once I boarded the van and woke up to find that we were exiting the highway. The driver informed us that there was an issue with the van, and I checked the map, realizing we were still about 50 miles away from Purdue. She pulled into a gas station and explained that she didn't want us stranded on the highway, so she brought us to the gas station instead. I thought this was a quick-thinking decision on her part. She attempted to address the car's problem by acquiring some coolant (I believe), which took approximately 10 minutes. Simultaneously, she contacted the office and informed us that an Uber was en route to transport all of us to our intended destination. Throughout the ordeal, the driver remained kind and composed. Within another 15 minutes, the Uber arrived, and we were back on our way. Consequently, we lost roughly half an hour due to the van malfunction. On the day of our return trip to IND, we waited at the bus stop near PMU. The area was shaded, making it a pleasant spot. This time, a much larger mini-bus arrived, featuring seats on both sides of a central aisle. The bus had ample room to accommodate approximately 40 or more people. The driver, an elderly gentleman, was friendly and courteous. The return trip proceeded without any issues. To conclude, I highly recommend Lafayette Limo. Just be sure to allocate sufficient extra time to account for any unforeseen circumstances. read more

I booked a round trip ticket from IND to City Centre in Lafayette. I honestly have no complaints about my experience. Both drivers were super nice, especially Jack (the older gentlemen with the white beard). It would be nice if the company could add a few more hotels on the pick-up and drop off routes. I had to book a 10-min. Uber to and from one hotel to the nearest pick-up hotel (Holiday Inn City Centre). If I return, I will use the company again. If I could give this company a ZERO star I would do that! I've purchased a round trip ticket with this company from this company from Purdue University to the airport. My brother went to the pick-up location on the email that was listed and the shuttle just never showed up. He's then called the company right away and asked what happened to the shuttle at the pick-up location and they never called picked up until he called like a good amount of times. He's spoken with someone on the phone stating that he would get a refund but he would have to call the company the next day to confirm it with them. He's called a multiple of times and will not a refund... This is ridiculous $45 wasted in thin air due to this company... Do not choose them! read more

I had a reservation with lafayette limo for their 3:30 shuttle to ORD. I was there at PMU at 3:30, but could not find them. I repeatedly tried to call their office, and it took me almost half hour to get through. When I finally got through, the receptionist communicated with the driver and I was told I did not have a reservation which is why the driver left. I provided the reservation details and insisted they check it, at which time they changed their story to "the shuttle was at PMU, at 3:30". I had to make other arrangements (book an Uber, costed 200 bucks) to get to ORD. When I contacted them, I was told that the driver waited from 3:24 to 3:31. I asked why I wasn't given a call to check where I was, to which they had no answer. They refuse to give me a refund, and have offered credit. This is a dishonest company. Do not use their services. EAC is a safer bet. read more

My driver was very rude on an early morning drive from Indianapolis to west Lafayette. I asked him to drop me off at the location where he was supposed to drop off -- State Street Bus Stop. He asked where I was headed later, and I told him the exact address and showed him the map. Since then he gave me a hard time because I am new to Purdue and don't know the locations. He insisted I drop off and stopped the limo in some random street. I told him to drop off in the location where he was supposed to drop off, then he proceeded to SSB. He was very impatient and unwelcoming and this was a very bad experience for me. read more

I have taken this shuttle from Purdue to the Indy airport and back about 5 times a year for 2 years. They are always at least 15 minutes late picking up and 30 minutes late to the airport. They make stops at a hotel in the Lafayette area also, whether or not someone is there to pickup (because they don't know until they get there always). This is really aggravating when they're already running late and they could call the hotel to check if anyone's there instead. Their system of letting everyone board and then collecting printed tickets is so time consuming and needs to be improved on (like an electronic check). They also only accept cash and check I believe when you buy a ticket on the spot which seems a bit dated in a time when more and more people don't hold cash on them. The drivers are nice. I highly recommend using their competitors service instead, Reindeer Shuttle. read more

I'd give it zero if I could. First off, their website's the absolute worst. Its hard to use, hard to read, and most of the time doesn't even work which makes ordering tickets impossible at times. Normally, no big deal. I say, "hey, your websites giving me issues" and they give us the discount. This time, when he called his manager "Stacy". He said that she said because I've gotten that customer service before, they won't give it again. Which is like saying, because our website failed before we're going to penalize you now. I called customer service and guess what,..it was a "Stacy". After dead-pan silence, only a single line: "I'll pass that on." Sure you will Stacy. I feel since this company knows most of their customers are college students who need this service, they take advantage of them. This is about the worst shuttle company I had ever dealt with. I called and made a reservation and was told I could pay by cash or credit card when I got to Indy. I get there and stand at there both for an hour and no one shows up. I than talked to the driver and he says he can only take cash or cashers check and can't take credit cards. Than I called the main office and they said they can't take credit cards over the phone. I want to start by saying this is a very unprofessional if you say you are going to have someone at the both you need to have someone there doing there job. Second the driver should be able to take credit cards it's called a square card reader. We live in the 21st century most people do not cary cash. For a company that does limo service they aspect there customer to pay there driver by cash. I had to take a taxi. Will never user Lafayette Limo again. Taken this a few times, the driver is great gets you to your location quickly and is friendly. The reason for the one star is because of the ticket salesman. Last time I took the shuttle reserved a spot on the phone, he tells me they're sold out and to get off the bus, THE DRIVER told him that I was on the list. The ticket salesman was the annoyed and told me to just give me the money and sit down. The second time, I'm buying a ticket at the airport. I walk up to the ticket counter and he doesn't even say hello/greet me and continues to look at his iPad. I said can I get the next shuttle to Purdue. Then he proceeds to reply with a smart comment "you can get a seat on the shuttle" I tried to be polite and laugh. When it comes to the total I give him $42.00 so he could give me back $15. He looks at me annoyed, shakes his head and slams down the two extra dollars on the counter saying "what are you doing?" I told him the change he would give back and he wouldn't accept the extra $2. This man is rude and impolite to customers. I've experienced it first hand and have seen how he treats other customers. Do something about him before you start losing customers. He shouldn't make you feel like an inconvenience for using the service or making him do his job. The service/driving is great, but I'm debating next time on whether to continue using them or just get a lyft where at least they won't treat you badly for using them. read more

I booked my online reservation with Lafayette Limo for a work-related trip to shuttle service to and from Indianapolis Int'l Airport and Holiday Inn City Center in West Lafayette. I was dropped off at the front entrance of my hotel on Sun and was due to be picked up at 1:05pm the following Friday. I checked my reservation email that Fri morning to verify pickup time and check for any detail instructions (there were none). I checked out my hotel room and waited in the lobby from 12:30pm until 12:50pm and moved outside to waited the remainder of the time sitting on a bench at the front entrance. As I sat there I seen the Lafayette Limo shuttle drive past me at 1:07pm making a right turn from S 6th Street onto South Street. I thought that can't be MY shuttle but I'd better call. The customer service lady answered, and verified that was my ride that left! She told me they pickup customers at the back door only! I asked for them to have the driver turn around, she declined, stating they were almost at the next stop (Marriott a 30 min walk or 10 min drive away) and my only choice was to find another ride to the Marriott and they'd wait a "little while" for me or wait 2 hrs for their next Limo at 3:05pm. So I'm panicking because I cannot get another ride to the next stop in a timely manner, or walk the 30 mins there with luggage in tow. I began to look up addresses & time distances on GPS, trying to figure out other logistics, looking up my flight details in my email, asking the receptionist about taxi options, etc. My time to catch the Limo at the next stop has expired while trying to figure out a plan to do that with 1 phone. Meanwhile, the customer service lady is waiting on the line; I return to the line and ask to speak with a Supervisor because she was not helpful. Brian answers the phone, I state my issue -- I was left behind because I waited at the front door and not the back. His response was the driver pickups people out back and walks into the reception desk area to corral customers, that's how they do it and I should have known or asked someone. I responded, these special instructions should be in the "courtesy" email reminder of reservation. Then I asked, so my waiting outside the front entrance where I was dropped off is unreasonable? He said yes! Then he proceeded to chastise me by saying I wasted time catching the limo at the next location while the lady was holding on the line to "accommodate" me. That I should have caught an Uber - an app/account/service that I do not even have! The conversation became increasing insulting, outrageous and useless. The staff had zero sympathy, zero accountability, zero appreciation for my business, and zero feasible solutions for someone with tight time constrictions, I had a flight to catch at the Indianapolis airport over an hr away. I nearly missed my flight. I am outraged, hurt, and disappointed. read more
