I use LaFountain on a regular basis for tree trimming and removal. They do a great job and provide very thorough clean up.

Met with the owner of The Yardmen, Zak Matouka in late April 2022. We worked with his designer and he said we were on the books to start at the end of May. We let two other landscapers go because he could start earlier. He has failed to return any calls since. On May 6th he said he would provide a quote ASAP in an email and has ghosted us ever since. Nothing. We have struggled to find another landscaper and now we're crossing our fingers that the work will be completed by the time our daughter gets married later this year. The kind and fair thing to do would have been to tell us the job was too big or he didn't have time. I would never recommend him - no trust! read more

We asked for several quotes on removing some old bushes and smaller plants that had stubborn roots. The owner, himself, came right out. He was professional and seemed honest. Even thought he was not the lowest quote by far, his price we felt was fair for the work to be done. The biggest thing we loved was that we had buried electrical wires for our landscape lights, as well as a sprinkler system right where the bushes had to come out. He was the ONLY company to say that if they damaged any of this, he would fix it. So we knew they would do things right. I would give them 5 stars. All the work was done, and cleaned up on an afternoon when we stepped out. Would not have known they were here, except the bushes were missing. All Clean and Tidy! read more

He did not respond to inquiries, then scheduled a meeting which he didn't show up to. Don't waste your time. I called them three times, they have multiple numbers and they are hard to get a hold of- all for nothing. read more

This is really bizarre and AGAIN I hate to leave bad reviews for local small businesses. This is the 2nd tree trimming service I attempted to use. My previous google review for Timber Beast can be found. I emailed LaFountain and had LF come out and make an estimate. Chris, the owner, came out and was very nice and professional and gave me a price for tree trimming. A pretty standard job to trim 5-6 trees. I emailed him back a few days later and scheduled the job for Friday 4/15 afternoon some time after 11am. On 4/11 I reconfirmed the date and time and was told we are set and that Chris the owner would even be there. On Friday 4/15 no one showed up at 11am. I waited a couple hours and then sent a follow up email to ask for an ETA. Still no show. Around 3pm I called the main line and left a voice mail to see what the deal was. No one called back. A few things I considered: 1)It was Good Friday and maybe they were closed for the holiday ... but why would they schedule the job on the date? and 2)It did start to rain later that afternoon, so I thought maybe they weren't able to make their appointments. No one explained any rain policy to me when I scheduled. Either way I would have expected a call and I would have been happy to reschedule. I called back on the following monday and left a voicemail to see if there was any chance to get them to still come out another time. No one answered or called back. Its very bizarre that I tried to give this company a good amount of money ... AND Timber beast(see my previous google review) .... and both companies ghosted me. I was starting to think maybe my address has some Tree service blacklist entry and no one wants to come out to work on my trees. I just moved here and this is my first time getting trees worked on so there might be some kind of under current I am not seeing in the tree industry. I dont understand these companies that take their time to come out and try to make some business but dont follow through. Is there really too many jobs for them to handle? I would at least expect a "sorry we cant get to your job right now but we are booked up for a few months. Can we call you back or schedule you for the next availability?". Thats fine i would have been happy to wait. It also upsets me I took work off to be available for the appointment. I finally had my trees done by Turmans and they did a great job. They quoted lower than LF and I still initially tried with LF. After this my next stop is to leave a good review for Turmans to hopefully even out this unfortunate review I have left for LF. read more

Our huge box elder was about to loose a huge section right over our wires. Christopher came down, estimated the job and performed it the following day. Such a nice guy, and he brought a crew of seven who got it done in under an hour. Even took a branch from another tree that was broken no charge. Left the place spotless. Highly recommended. read more
