Whoever assigned the rooms, ensured that we got three rooms in a row with two connecting rooms. It was PERFECT! Front desk representative "Abby," was absolutely the BEST in customer service, patience with me, ensuring we had what we needed, explained where we could find parking and local restaurants, and all their other amenities. She made what was expected to be a very stressful weekend into one of most pleasant experiences. She was fantastic and I am ever so thankful to her. The site has complementary made-to-order breakfasts which were outstanding. There is plenty of room to sit and spread out. "Christian" who worked the breakfast shift was outstanding. Breakfast times were busy, and I watched him hustle from one customer to the next with a bright smile. He jumped in when other employees were overwhelmed and still smiled throughout. "Emily" at the lounge's bar was also fantastic. I had not seen some family in many years, and I truly appreciated the exceptional hospitality.

There were employees mopping and cleaning common areas throughout our stay. The shower and sink area were also clean. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that there were handprints on the walls in the hall, dust on the baseboards in the room and a big chair in the room that was made of material that would need to be cleaned instead of wiped off so for me, it was just a waste of space. If I can't clean something with my Lysol wipes, I prefer not to have it in my hotel room. I just avoided sitting there. I would recommend the hotel and if you stay and have a chance to meet Letra, you're fortunate.

What made this experience even worse was management's refusal to provide a proper refund after we could not remain at the property because of the conditions. After I personally contacted management, the only resolution offered was a 10% discount on rooms we did not even use, which was completely unreasonable given the circumstances. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability, customer service, and professionalism shown throughout this situation. There was no heat control in the rooms. An email to did result in the heat being turned on barely. * The general cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory, especially the bathroom. * The in-room appliances looked like they were picked up from a curb where someone had discarded them. The dishwasher wasn't even installed properly. The microwave could not even pop a bag of popcorn. The stove was missing buttons. * The bathroom facilities were well below par, with visibly unclean fixtures, and what appeared to be mold growing outside the tub and along the back wall. * The walls were chipped, cracked and in need of a coat of paint. And there were multiple, simple-maintenance issues that should have been corrected when the LaSalle was put into service.

Jacuzzi bath was nice but both of the shower heads leaked and didn't have much pressure, although you're still able to shower comfortably. Only true complaint is the one blanket you get as one night it was a bit cold. Some may not like the busy traffic sounds outside but you're literally in the middle of a downtown area - you're going to hear traffic. The place is a very convenient location and enjoyable to stay at if you like something a bit more historic.
