Some of the rules not being followed are no motorized wheels such as mopeds, ATVs, GOLF CARTS etc., no rugs or mats, and quite times. Also, the store is rarely open during the week so don't expect anyone to be there when you arrive. Another rule indicating there are fees for guests visiting, but don't worry about it because the store is RARELY ever open. Just let your guests through when they get there. The website states that they have kayaks, banana boats, row boats, and paddle boats for rent. We saw two kayaks out behind the store, but that was it. The sites are small and not well marked. We watched a bigger rig struggle getting into their site because there was already somebody on both sides of them. From what we saw, no personnel are ever going around on a golf cart seeing how things are going. The bathhouse is in dire need of upgrades, and the splash pad is run down. It only runs when the temperature is 85 degrees or higher. It just feels like the owners are raking in the money but not concerned with day-to-day operations.

We booked a group site several weeks prior to arrival; when we arrived- we found several campers on the site(s) that we requested, confirmed, and booked (via phone). So, upon arrival it was escalated to staff (owners) - that others were on our sites... and we were told, "group sites are a first come first serve? So much for "Group Site" and thinking that's what you're going to get... Per the website it states - call and request for group sites and the sites requesting. It's okay - you can be confused as we were too. Also add to note, the website stated these are 50amp sites - they're NOT. Now, our group was broken up throughout the campground - the sites are 30amp with 3 plugs per box (our breaker popped in the first 20 minutes of being plugged in), and we're sharing a water hookup with other campers - which was conveniently 2 feet in front of my door. I'm completely disappointed with the staffs inability to accommodate our situation. At the end of the day - it was a holiday weekend, we paid and expected a group site with our friends and family, and now we're dispersed throughout the campground and we have neighbors who complained about the "noise" when in reality - they're in our circle that we booked - on the site we reserved individually. Online it says, "call to book for group sites". Meaning not first come, first serve; the staff doesn't want to correct the situation; that's our problem. Additional points - this isn't our first time coming to Pla-more, and this is a completely different experience than before - I don't know if our group of 5+ will try this again at Pla-more. Hopefully something turns around in our current situation.

Husband said the shrimp quesadilla was good but the salsa was quite bland. Friend's chicken sandwich was, well, a pretty small piece of chicken - thin and the size of the palm of her hand. My grouper was thin and small. Three of us ordered the slaw as a side; it was overdressed (drippy) and a very small serving. Friend with the chicken and me went away still hungry. We've eaten here before and the servings were appropriate for lunch; not this time. This was disappointing for an $80 meal tab.

I stayed in the summer cottage, everything was decorated beautifully in antiques and every detail was attended to, from the fridge with soda, chips and chocolate, and fresh homemade brownies that waited us. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a very friendly chonker cat named Lucy who will run up to you for pets (and might try to sneak inside the cottage if you let her). The breakfast was incredible with bacon, cheese eggs, perfectly done potatoes, and a platter of homemade pastries. The location is rural but it was close to the black pine animal sanctuary, and about 40 minutes away from Fort Wayne. It was a good springboard for all of the local breweries we planned to scope out, which there is a ridiculous amount of (or maybe not, you need something to keep you busy in these small towns).

I randomly flew into this airport just to go to lunch somewhere different and had already found a…read morecouple of places within walking distance. I landed on a very nice runway and taxied down one of the nicest taxiways I have been on, very smooth. I parked my airplane across from the fuel pumps and walked into the FBO to find a gentleman that greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. This place was very clean, had aviation items for sale (i.e. oil, log books, fuel testers, basic need items) It has a very nice and clean bathroom as well. Free WiFi and a pilot car. When I got back from lunch I filled my plane with fuel and taxied to the runway and took off. I will be back again.

Definitely worth a couple extra bucks. Amanda (the owner) and her family are so welcoming and make you feel right at home with an amazing breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are incredibly clean, she brings cookies up every night and the fridge is always stocked with water and soda! The children are so precious and silly and make the rooms light up when they're around. Not even disruptive! There are movies to watch and DVD players and TVs in each room. We had the Solomon room. I'll put pictures down below. This family and business deserves everything wonderful. There's not much super close to eat so if you want a good place you may have to drive 20 or more minutes. There is a gorgeous porch out front that wraps around most of the side and is so nice to sit and just have a cup of coffee on in the mornings. Please please check this place out.
