Do not believe the pictures on their website! This place was a dump. See attached pictures. Specifically: * We arrived in the late afternoon, and the room was cold, perhaps about 50 degrees. There was no heat control in the rooms. An email to did result in the heat being turned on barely. * The general cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory, especially the bathroom. * The in-room appliances looked like they were picked up from a curb where someone had discarded them. The dishwasher wasn't even installed properly. The microwave could not even pop a bag of popcorn. The stove was missing buttons. * The bathroom facilities were well below par, with visibly unclean fixtures, and what appeared to be mold growing outside the tub and along the back wall. * The walls were chipped, cracked and in need of a coat of paint. And there were multiple, simple-maintenance issues that should have been corrected when the LaSalle was put into service. read more

Spent 2 night here and honestly based on the reviews, I had a better time that I expected to. Stayed in the Sion Bass suite and the bed was comfortable and had a TV with Roku so you could sign into your already owned streaming services (just remember to log out!) Jacuzzi bath was nice but both of the shower heads leaked and didn't have much pressure, although you're still able to shower comfortably. Only true complaint is the one blanket you get as one night it was a bit cold. Some may not like the busy traffic sounds outside but you're literally in the middle of a downtown area - you're going to hear traffic. The place is a very convenient location and enjoyable to stay at if you like something a bit more historic. read more

Do not stay here. The worst place I've ever stayed. Hands down. TV didn't work (they brought one from another room). No in-room temperature control (the room was always cold). The stand-up shower didn't drain (so it ran under the door and flooded the bathroom). The bathroom trash hadn't been emptied from the previous guest. Mike was extremely helpful when we needed to extend our stay. Most of the basics can be found BUT some neglect over time is evident. Don't expect to have friends and family over for a meal, the kitchen is sparsely furnished with random items. Basically clean counter, sink, stove and fridge BUT definitely the kitchen is in need of a deep cleaning. We're old home loveRS especially those with local history. The living areas hardwood floor are definitely from a period long ago, a little TLC would be nice. The best part of the unit was the bed, quite comfortable BUT those foam pillows are terrible. The toilet runs consistently, floor tile missing in the bath, overall total upgrade required. Don't recall ever having a toilet that low to the floor. What they don't tell you is no insulation has been added, thus Washington Blvd street traffic sounds like it's inside the unit. Also, some one or people reside upstairs. Thank goodness we were to tired to complain about the noises they made. DEEP CLEAN THE ENTIRE UNIT PLUS MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS. We're moving out of state after selling our home and wanted to be nearby for last details. We've shared thus far our impressions of the LaSalle with friends and neighbor. The pictures, description and price on the website will throw you off. My husband and I stayed her the night of our wedding and it's just your average, old, needing of updates, underwhelming bed and breakfast. We paid WAY to much for what it was.. Not to mention the breakfast. They told my husband they were doing some updates on the kitchen and there breakfast was a "little different" and (see below) this is what they served us. I can't believe we spent an extra $20 on chocolate chip cookies, an orange, granola bar and other assorted college student food. I'd personally just like our $200 back. read more

LaSalle Inn - Hotels Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

The lady stayed here for a month on an extended stay in Ft. Wayne and couldn't have been happier with it. It is located near the center of central business district, and there are several bars and restaurants nearby. Fort Wayne's excellent main library is right next door. They have two private parking lots and secure entrances, so she was never concerned re: safety. Rose Aimie and Clark were extremely friendly (if a bit eccentric) and made her feel right at home. Each room is decorated with a different theme, and the house is litterally bursting with interesting art, books, and souveniers gathered from decades of world travel. Francophiles will revel in the atmosphere (French club meets here on weekends). The rooms that I saw were functional, but luxurious and all have a TV with cable. Rose Aimee cooks excellent breakfasts for the nightly guests, but extended stay tenants can arrange for her to cook breakfast for a fee. Extended stay guests get space in a fridge in the room, plus cabinet space in the somewhat cramped kitchen. Every room has its own private bathroom, though some bathrooms are not next to the rooms. The bathrooms are clean and functional. WiFi signal is good. I shopped around quite a bit before booking the LaSalle. It is by far the most reasonable extended stay option in Ft. Wayne and is probably the best for a single traveler new to town. read more

Coming from a far off land, it was nice to stay at a place with some Fort Wayne History. Very quaint, self-serve type B&B, except for that COVID knocked it down to a B without the other B. But there are pastries & coffee available in the dining room. Cute place, stayed in two rooms so far, looking forward to checking out the other rooms in the future. Do beware though that when booking with a third party (expedia, hotels.com, etc.) that the account holders contact info may be forwarded to LaSalle, and not the contact info you type in - so if your spouse is the account holder, you may want to check their email for welcome, passcodes, etc. read more

Ran down old house. Didn't get me free breakfast which is included in the price of the room. The room I got , me had to walk down hall to use bathroom, for what I paid figured I would of had a bathroom in my room? Me thinks not Yikes!!! Ok I got breakfast a few little debbies pecan snack cakes and a few juice boxes of some OJ. mmm. Dusty dirty room too! my towels had stains on em, but they washed em. Throw away and buy more me say, kind of sketchy looking. Walls in halls look to need painted real bad and been that way for some time. Kind of reminds me of a half way house, sharing the bathroom the way I did. They really need to lower the prices and possibly turn into a half way house or a homeless rescue mission. A rescue mission I am sure is much cleaner. The old bitty here doesn't want to clean anything, they make guest stay in filth. Need to change this place over to a low rate ran down motel. It is what it is. It's trying to be something a bit more and charge for it, This place most likely hasn't been what it was meant to be in several years. It's only a shadow of it's former self and that shadow it uneven paint on them walls. get off your behind and clean the place, paint the place, upgrade the place. Please do something. read more

This place was charming as all get out. Rose-Aimee is adorable, so kind and accommodating, and Clark was a real treat for my philosophy-studying boyfriend. They chatted about Hegel and the demise of secondary education. Rose-Aimee and I talked furniture and France. I think we all had a good time. We stayed in the David Foster suite, which is actually in the historic Sion Bass house next door, which is also owned and run by Rose-Aimee and Clark. The room was painted a beautiful yellow, and (much like the rest of the place) filled with interesting furniture pieces that Rose-Aimee told me she finds at various antique markets and fairs. The room also has what Rose-Aimee calls "the car wash shower" - water comes at you from almost every direction - which was fun. When we arrived at breakfast, they were between quiches (one finished, one still in the oven), so they offered to make us scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious, and the conversation was lively. If I ever find myself in Fort Wayne again, I will certainly return. I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable stay. read more

This is the third time since my wife and have been here the last time was a few years ago and everything was top notch. This last visit however it has all gone downhill. We got the sweetheart package which "included a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and breakfast in bed for $50." We got there we were told they don't serve breakfast anymore, a $10 bottle of wine, but no cork screw to open the wine and an assortment of chocolates. We were not happy at all about that. However the caretakers are very friendly and nice. Sad to say this will be the last time we are staying at the LaSalle inn. read more

Clark and Rose-Aimee, owners of the B&B, are a charming couple: he a philosophy professor at Purdue and she a a French dance instructor. Their accommodations are cozy and intimate, and it's hard to figure out how the house fits a dozen rooms and suites, each with its own bathroom. Breakfast time is a ritual, allowing the hosts the opportunity to recount their passion for travel and life. The entire establishment is filled with relics of the couple's past, from souvenirs of their time in Africa and Parisian artwork to Clark's immense library of philosophy and religion. The amenities are comfortable, and the atmosphere and personal touches provided by the hosts are well worth the inexpensive price. Situated in the best area of downtown Ft. Wayne, La Salle Bed & Breakfast is a must for a visit to the city. read more

We went there for our 10th anniversary and only had a chance to stay for one night, but it was a wonderful treat. Jason was very accommodating with our dietary needs (vegan for one, gluten-free for the other). We stayed in the Sion Bass house and loved the beautiful green room. It was quiet and charming. Clark and Rose-Aimee are very nice people but their Bed and Breakfast leave much to be desired..For starters the rooms are very small and the shower in my room is not accesable if you are over 6' tall..As for breakfast I can only say,if you like pre-packaged Cosco food and not the authentic French cusinse that's advertized,then you will love staying at the LaSalle B&B...In summary..This B&B is way over priced for the services rendered and the experience was one I would rather not remember.. read more

Things have certainly changed at La Salle BnB. When we resided in FW it was winning awards and highly recommended via Yelp and trip advisor. We called to book our room on Saturday Night, the Sion Bass suite, my wife had quite a long conversation with a man who said he was the owner and was very happy to have us stay. When we arrived on Monday we walked into the office and there was a man drinking milk and eating a pastry, when we said we were checking in for our reservation he immediately said, "we're going to have to Figure something out" he mentioned then that he has fired all the employees that week for incompetence and no rooms were ready and no cook was there for breakfast. He gave us a manic tour of the houses and showed is the one room he knew the key code to, it looked like it hasn't been touched for weeks. The bed wasn't made and garbage was in the room. I feel bad for the guy actually he said he travels to France and Walked into this. My problem is we booked Saturday with this guy, it should be his responsibility to advise us of the changes. We ended up staying at a courtyard which wasn't really the romantic locally owned feel we wanted, but there was no way I was staying at this place. In my opinion, they should be out of business. the perfect overnight for two sisters on a road trip. the adorable decor made us feel like true parisians. we spent the first ten minutes oogling the old philosophy books, arched doorways, french paintings, wooden furniture, before even remembering to put down our suitcases. we enjoyed chatting with fellow guests and the innkeeper (?) at breakfast. our only complaint was the walk down the hallway to the bathroom; one connected to the room would be much preferable. read more

The LaSalle was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. Check-in took over 45 minutes, as the owner struggled with every aspect of the process (too many issues to describe here). We'd booked on-line and called twice to confirm, but he still seemed surprised to see us. Long story short, we're pretty sure we paid twice and will have a long battle with the credit card company in our future. Because of this, we requested a receipt, and the owner acted like we'd demanded the moon on a silver platter. When we finally got to the room, it was not at all as advertised: what little furniture there was was cheap, old (not "antique" by any stretch), and damaged, the carpet was filthy, there were no chairs at all, the tiny closet was dirty and had about a dozen mismatched hangers tangled on the floor, and the bed sheets had a dark, crusty stain. While we'd expected that the bathroom wouldn't be in the room, we didn't imagine that in order to use it, we'd have to trudge through the odd kitchenette and "common area," through two twisty hallways, down the narrow stairs, past the lobby, and through the dining room to get to it. When we finally did get to the bathroom, it was filthy: there was rust and black, grainy residue piled up behind the toilet, and there was hair and food crumbs around the sink. The floor of the shower felt like I was walking on an inflatable "bouncy house," which made it difficult to maintain balance. The owner was having a shouting match with his employee, so we were afraid to even ask for clean sheets or more toilet paper. When we asked for information about breakfast, we couldn't get a straight answer. Since a small sign on one door said it didn't start until 7:30 on weekdays and 9:00 on weekends and I had to be at meetings before that, I decided that I was out of luck in that area, too. Because so many other reviewers have had positive experiences here, I'm at a loss to describe how it could have fallen in to such bad shape so quickly. read more
