Luckily you me, the item that I was hunting was on sale. It's located inside the mall so there are plenty of parking. Accessible parking and entrance.

Not needing the cooler until our return trip I decided to wait and make the purchase at our destination. After doing a quick search I found that Dick's stocks these so it seemed to be an easy in and out task. The store is located just outside the Prien Lake Mall so I knew before I went this could be challenging and the parking would be total chaos. Once I found a space that I figured wouldn't present any opportunities for the oblivious ones to ding my doors I maneuvered through the traffic on foot like I was playing a game of frogger. The inside of the store was a mess - total clutter and unorganized, I found the drain plugs easy enough then I had to face the checkout - as expected it was a nightmare - the open registers weren't lit up and all the customers were herded passed a series instant gratification type items meant to tempt us while we waited. I think I was number twenty in line for a single $9.99 item purchase - my turn blah blah blah rewards card, phone number, do I want to donate, do I want a gift card, am I interested in filling out a survey of my experience, yada yada yada geez how long can this type of retail survive. I'm so over the antiquated retail BS, close the doors and pass the overhead savings on to the customers these brick and mortar locations offer me nothing - next time I'll drive a wine cork in the hole to plug it...

Will not be doing business with this company again. Very unprofessional, our associate Alex said…read moreour order would be completed within 2 weeks. We called at the two week mark, they said someone would get back with us. Called weekly to no avail. Called last Tuesday, was told someone would get back to us. No one ever did. Finally called on Thursday again and got in touch with Alex. He claimed he lost our number, in his "thousands of text messages" he has--and I can only assume he lost the order form as well. He said that they didn't make our shirts last year when we made it a point to VERIFY they had our imprint on file from the year before EVER placing the order. Eric guaranteed our order would be done this Monday--approximately a month after placing the order. Eric did not communicate this to Alex. Alex's words were "huh why didn't Eric tell me that?". And we ONLY found this out because Alex did not have our jersey numbers that we sent him when we originally placed the order. Now today is Tuesday and after telling him we needed them for tonight's game he said he could have them ready for us. We needed these shirts for a recreational team sport. Went to pick up the shirts..3 incorrectly made shirts. Wrong sizes, wrong numbers. Very frustrating to pay money for a subpar service that has been very unprofessional. Buyer be wary. I wish I could have better words to say.

My association with this mall goes back many many years actually to the mid 70's it opened in 1972…read moreand was renovated in 1998, my first real job was here at a Hallmark owned shop, in those days these indoor malls were the thing and were filled with shoppers from the time the doors opened until they closed. It was rare to find an empty store and if there were any they weren't empty for long. Once I arrived for my shift there was no reason to leave unless I wanted to grab some Long John Silvers which in those days was just a short walk across the parking lot. The arcade was the hangout before work, after work or when visiting with my teenage friends on my days off - many of the people that worked in this mall back in the day were friends and we'd hangout on breaks usually at the Orange Julius counter, they sold the smoothies of the time, quick, delicious and cheap. The big retailers consisted of many that have long ago closed e.g Montgomery Wards, The White House, Piccadilly Cafeteria, record shops, and some very cool clothing stores that went by the wayside with disco music, we never knew how good the times were we were living in. I really didn't know what I'd be stepping into during my recent visit, my have things changed - although the main entrance opens early the stores and shops don't open until 11:00 AM, I got here a little early so I did a walk down memory lane and honestly it was like walking through the doors for the first time, I recognized nothing. There were quite a few people inside when I arrived some just enjoying the air conditioning other doing laps in their new shoes getting their steps in and a few security guards riding around on Segways all trying to emulate Paul Bart: Mall Cop. Well at the end of the day I was able to purchase what I came here for - unfortunately no Orange Julius anywhere in sight...

This Mall is ok to me!!…read more A rather small Mall, with the usual stores. Dicks Sporting Goods had that new feel to me. I did enjoy the air conditioning because Lake Charles gets crazy hot. I drove past it a few times looking for it, it's not very visible from the street. Easy parking, multiple entrances, the food court had plenty of fast food choices. I would come here when visiting again!!
