Don't bring your child to this school!! I'm a survivor of sexual abuse by a former teacher at this school district. I was in elementary school... This teacher abused students over 37 years, across seven schools in three states (TX, LA, AR). More than 30 victims have come forward, and there's a civil lawsuit pending. This teacher was never my teacher but was a bus aid on my bus. When one incident occurred with this teacher, my mom demanded his removal. However Wendy Konz(director of transportation) ignored my mom's request and still allowed him to be on my bus and the sexual abuse got worse. So when doing my own digging, I wanted to understand how the district handled him, so I filed a public records request. Here's what I learned: The district claims no investigative, disciplinary, or internal records exist. Their email servers were decommissioned in 2021, and they kept no certificates of destruction, vendor contracts, logs, or chain-of-custody documentation. Basically, decades of records that could show how the district responded or didn't to this teacher's behavior are gone. Completely. Makes me think that they deleted the email servers right when I filed the FOIA to hid their tracks. Anyways this school district is more worried about their reputation than protecting the kids. you know people would think i would go to a good school but i dont in fact it has made my life a living hell! no joke! the teachers are ok they're fine but it feels like (which it does) feel like they don't give a crap about teaching me they are just in for in it for the money they are just a bunch of money grabbers .the breakfast is 3 dollars and for lunch is 5 dollars ,there's always fights happening and for a temp i.d. is the equivalent to a family meal at kfc! a lunch detention and the loss of 2 dollars! and in tutoring instead of teaching me what i didn't understand they just make me retake it hoping for a different grade. anyways thanks for reading this and in the end send your kid (or kids) there at all!!! read more

School district took away buses for students under a mile away causing significant drop off and pick up issues along with all School self imposed rules such as walk your kid on School property, no dogs allowed even if on leash, only.one location to drop off and pick up and you are stuck in line till all other cars move. You would think with all the educated people in that building that they would come up with a better solution when dropping off/picking up kids. It is a disaster! So the wait is so long now I walk my kids to school over a mile which is no big deal but I walk my dog, now they say can't bring a dog on property. My kids ride their bikes guess what now can't ride bikes on property. Over this place can't wait for middle school! read more
