Great place to walk, sit and people watch. Plenty of places for coffee, snacks and meals that are moderately priced. They have a really nice lake trail that goes all the way around the lake. It's a bit muddy off season but during the summer it's a really nice path. Public restrooms are available in summer and the beach is very clean. They also have a River ice cream social cruise we've taken and that's fun and relaxing.

Day trips and overnight trips to Lake Geneva have been some of my favorite family trips. There is so much to enjoy here. I think the town really shines in the summer when you can see the lake come to life with lots of boats, check out some sidewalk sales, and enjoy a meal at any one of the terrific restaurants in town. I also highly recommend hitting the shore trail to take in the beautiful scenery of the lake itself as well as some of the stately lakeside properties.

It is a beautiful place to share with your family, your partner or alone, also you can bring your dog. Has many places to eat, some bars, also some stores where you can find souvenirs, comics, clothes, art, etc. In addition the access is open to the public (free) the lake has a beautiful view, the sunset is amazing (I went in the summer) there are yacht service, there are many mansions to watch. I recommend this place for a relaxing day, is easy to arrive by car and there are parking spaces on the street (paying).

Seeing the exact same sequence of events years later makes it hard to believe this is an isolated incident. Before we left, the young employees had us inspect the exterior of the boat for paint chips, scratches, and dents. However, no one ever raised the motor or showed us the condition of the propeller before we left. Looking back, that seems like a critical part of the inspection that was conveniently skipped. We also specifically asked one of the employees if there were any shallow areas or places on the lake we needed to avoid. He told us there were not, and we stayed in water that was consistently around 9-10 feet deep or more the entire day, we never struck anything and never experienced any impact that would suggest damage to the propeller. The moment we returned to the dock (before we had even gotten off the boat) an employee walked straight to the motor, raised the propeller, and immediately claimed we had damaged it. It felt like he already knew exactly what he was going to find before he even looked. The propeller itself had severe damage to every blade, as though it had gone through a rock bed. Yet the bottom of the boat and the lower unit showed no corresponding damage. Common sense says that if we had hit something hard enough to destroy every blade of the propeller, you would expect to see damage elsewhere on the boat as well. We never hit anything, and nothing about our day on the water matched the type of damage they claimed we caused. When we questioned this, we were told we "should have noticed the damage before leaving." That makes no sense. The propeller was submerged in the water, tucked underneath the boat, and it was dark-colored. There was no practical way for us to inspect it because they never lifted the motor or pointed it out during the pre-rental walkthrough. Instead, they only had us look for scratches, dents, and paint chips on the visible exterior of the boat. To make matters worse, the manager yelled at us in front of all of the young employees instead of handling the situation professionally. Then came the payment. We were first told we owed $500 for the damage. When my brother-in-law, who has boating experience, questioned that amount and pointed out that a propeller doesn't cost anywhere near $500, the charge immediately dropped to $125. The fact that the amount changed so quickly after being challenged only made the entire situation seem even more questionable. I will also note that we were a family of 6 adults and a 2 year old, not a bunch of young people being irresponsible. After reading the attached review describing nearly the exact same experience years earlier, it's difficult not to see a pattern. There are plenty of reputable boat rental companies around Lake Geneva that operate transparently and treat customers with respect. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. What should have been an unforgettable Fourth of July on the lake ended with accusations and a dispute over damage that we did not cause. We will never rent from this company again.

History serves that 2500 BC to 1836 AD Chief Big Foot and his Potawatomi tribe walked this path between their villages. The path has been preserved nicely by all the estate owners that live on the lake. The path is rugged in places made up of brick, wood, stones, boulders and slate. It's an enjoyable walk with plenty of breathtaking views and colorful inlets that change in the seasons!

As an adult, I love this path, it is right along Lake Geneva and in the backyards of multi-million estates. I love looking at estates and observing the activity on the water at the same time. The path is a bit narrow and there isn't anywhere to break off to use the restroom, so be sure to make a stop to the bathroom before you start the path. Weekends tend to get pretty busy, so try going on a weekday and there won't be any crowds on the path. We plan to hike this whole path (about 23 miles) by the end of spring or summer 2020. So far, we've made 2 trips and covered 7 miles of the lake (14 miles total back and forth) and plan to make more stops in order to go around the whole lake. By the end, we will cover the lake twice. Haha. So far so good, but I'll update this review after I hike the whole path.
