Rob and his team were AMAZING! Our group of 10 truly enjoyed ourselves during the 2 hour boat rental the wkend of July 31st. We rented both a pontoon and the Watersports boat so that those who wanted to just relax / swim in the lake could do so while 2-3 others at a time could experience the Watersports and it worked out great. The captains were casual, funny and welcoming. We did the tubing and wake boarding - felt safe the entire time. Would highly recommend! Well worth it!

Captain Rob was excellent in being a great coach to get our crew that wanted up on wakeboards for their first time.

My family used to own a home here and this lake club was a huge part of my childhood. The location…read moreis still beautiful and the lake and pool are great, but boy have things changed. The staff are... something else. They seem less like recreation employees and more like a highly organized squad of mall cops. They patrol the grounds in packs, seemingly on a mission to find someone to reprimand. The overall atmosphere was incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming, which is a strange vibe for a place that is supposed to be a family-oriented lake club. At one point, the staff waited at the shore for a man who was swimming outside of the designated swimming area and tried to apprehend him so they could call the POLICE. We understand that swimming areas exist for safety reasons, but the apparent eagerness to escalate a relatively minor rule violation to law enforcement was honestly baffling. Like you guys know you work for a lake club in the Poconos and not the FBI right? I would bet a lot of money that the local police department rolls their eyes when they see this place calling them again and again. Rules are rules, and we have no issue following them. But there's a pretty big difference between enforcing rules and making your guests feel like they're constantly being watched for an opportunity to get in trouble. Would absolutely recommend the lake. Would not recommend whatever law-enforcement internship program they have running at the beach.

They give renters a "special" wristbands so that everyone knows you are a special guest. If you want to fish, forget it. They require you to rent a boat to fish. While we did it, the cost was excessive. The cost is about 280 dollars for two hours. We will expect a different place to visit in the Poconos next summer.

However, at $20/pp for the canoes or kayaks, it was fine. It's paid per hour and up front. They do take card. You're given an hour, but they seem pretty loose about this. From our day out, though, you really won't spend much more than an hour out on the lake exploring unless you want to just stop and take in the views. We did that and still were just about an hour - after also going around the whole lake. Unfortunately, my seat in the kayak was broken and wouldn't sit up, so my husband had to use his legs to support my back rest the entire time. This made things rather uncomfortable, but that really wasn't their fault for not knowing. I even forgot to mention the broken seat when I got out since I was just kind of happy to get out of there. It's a beautiful lake, gorgeous housing lined on all sides. I really would recommend looking for a place with jet skis since we did see a lot of people using those and it looked like w lot of fun... but if you haven't been kayaking before or just want to explore the lake leisurely, this is definitely a good time.

The lake is big so we were not able to make it around the entire lake in that amount of time. Nice friendly helpful staff.

We had a tri-chapter meetup with my peeps from Body Liberation Outdoor Club - Northern NJ, Hudson Valley, and Eastern PA. Btdubs, if you're looking to enjoy the outdoors in an affirming space, holler at me. Anyway, we met at the Christman, Falls, and Cove Ridge trailhead and hiked a substantial loop to the falls, the Pohopoco river(?), and in and out of the woods. It was fantastic! Some nice elevation, soft packed trails, not too much mud, leafy forest bed, and as is common on the east coast - some roots and rocks to make sure you're paying attention. 5 miles of glorious spring sunshine and whispering trees. Couldn't ask for more! You Should Know: -parking at this trailhead is safe - room for about 8 or 9 cars and directly across from houses -this trail is NOT accessible -some parts of the trail sit high above the river - watch your step or else you'll take a devastating tumble to the great beyond -about 3/4 mile grassy walk to the actual trail from the parking area -If you use All Trails app, it was surprisingly accurate IYKYK - no bathrooms anywhere near here - pack in and pack out
