This is by far the nicest private campground we've ever stayed at. All the amenities were well kept and modern. Our campsite was decent sized and grassy. There were many full hookup sites available even for last minute people like us. But by far, the best attraction was the newly built pool area with blow up slides, swimming pool and splash park for the kids. My two year old was in heaven. There is so much to do here for the family that we can't wait to come back. We inquired about seasonal camping and learned there is a pretty big wait list.

Our friends stayed here and we stayed nearby. We tried to get a cabin but they were booked. No big deal. We would just visit our friends for a campfire. Bob wanted us to pay $50.00 to visit our friends, who already paid for a campground without a pool. We were only staying 2 hours for a campfire!! Really? We were going to book a cabin for future use but will happily stay elsewhere! I can see by the number reviews that we are not missing anything good! We will also spread the word how Lake Huron campground likes to price gouge!

Fun on the log in the pool!

My favorite place to go! Wonderful, large sites, the new water park is GREAT! Will be back next year!

I had 2 adults and 7 kids (10 - 16 y/o) and I really wanted to try it out. I called ahead and they were very accommodating with our schedule (and even opened early just for us). After talking with them, I felt VERY prepared, despite having no experience myself, and most of the kids hadn't either. We rented 4 tandems and 1 single (I believe they have 4 tandems and 8 singles to date) and it was PERFECT! No one (not even me) had any trouble getting accustomed to using the kayaks. We were given very good instruction before going out and I felt quite comfortable having everyone out by themselves - even on the big lake. Here are some tips that might be helpful: - I SO wished I had a camera out on the water. A small pocket camera in a ziplock/waterproof bag should be fine - i barely got wet at all. - Obviously, sunscreen is a must, I'd suggest a hat. - it was easy to go ashore and I wish we would have packed a lunch and stopped for a bit to eat - just for the experience. - None of us had a watch (!), so judging how long we were out was a challenge, but that's probably just us! I would HIGHLY recommend this for just about anyone.

I stopped to check bilge and found oil under engine(3126 Cats) and level low, an inspection found some fresh oil near back portside corner, which would be front right since engines are installed backwards. I was referred to Wayne from Freedom by friend. He responded immediately and arrived within the hour. He crawled around to back side of engine and reported several seepage leaks that he recorded on my phone. He cleaned the back of the engine and He couldn't repair them immediately and advised refilling oil and replacing 2 gallons with Lucas Stabilizer to thicken oil. Until this year I have been using Caterpillar 30W oil but due to their not making it anymore and their recommendation to change to 15W30, the oil thins more. We drove 1 hour and checked level, loss of 1/2G, pumped 1/2G in and didn't lose anymore oil the last 2.5 hours. Wayne advised me to go back to straight weight oil along with a gallon of Lucas for both engines. Wayne was accompanied by his wife who was able to pick up materials while Wayne worked. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The bill was very reasonable. Overall he gets 3 thumbs up!!!

When we arrived, the woman selling the tickets was genuinely friendly and interested in our dog. I love that this is a dog-friendly activity and that always gets extra bonus points with me. She asked our dog's name and answered all our questions and when we saw her hours later walking around the town she called out to our dog by name and said hello. It was very sweet and just one example of the warm welcoming spirit of this city. The cruise itself was very calm and slow. Just a smooth ride down the Cass River and back. There's lots of time to take in the scenery and you learn a lot. The gentleman narrating our tour was knowledgeable and had a great voice on the microphone. I actually thought it was a recording for the first few minutes, but he introduced himself and explained that his son was the boat captain. He shared the history of Frankenmuth and the surrounding area and when he tells you the popcorn they sell on board is the best you'll ever have, he's not lying. The popcorn was the surprise star of this cruise! For only $2 you get this bag of fresh salty delicious popcorn and they actually encourage you to toss some to the ducks on the river. It was really fun watching them Rush up to the boat and watching the children laughing and enjoying themselves. I love popcorn though so unfortunately the ducks had to share with me because it was definitely the best $2 popcorn I've ever had! This is a must if you're in Frankenmuth and I'm so glad we got to experience it. We had such a nice time that we bought some souvenirs on our way off the boat, including a little Captain's hat for my husband to match the one we had for our pup already. It really was a lovely time.

There were some miscommunication over the phone and we ended up on the 6:40pm slot which was fine as we were still being accommodated. When we returned at 6:40pm, we were advised that the waves were high and potentially dangerous. The staff were very professional and explained to us that it is our choice if we still want to go out, but if we do, there would be a high chance of flipping over and potentially damage to the pwc and ourselves. After further thoughts we decided to cancel our booking and try it for next morning. This was tough for us as we originally was going to go back home after the jetski ride. We ended up deciding to stay for one more night. They returned our funds and released our deposit immediately and promised us a spot for next morning. Next morning, we got there and everything was ready for us. Me and the wifey always enjoyed jetskiing and this time was awesome. We got a Yamaha wave runner which rode great, I did notice they also had seadoos and Kawasakis as well and they all performed well. The waves did get a little choppy as our time out there ended but it was all manageable. There was a staff with us out there at the whole time and provided great instructions before we departed. Throughout the whole process the entire staff including Becky with the papers, the girl with the long blonde hair who took us out (sorry forgot your name), my man with the yellow shades, the two dark skin gents that I joked as Aqua Man and Poseidon, and other team members were extremely professional and polite. I can tell they really want to run a customer eccentric business and not trying to nickel and dime tourists. Highly recommended! *Note* - For people coming from far, please note, there is always a chance of your time slot being cancelled due to high waves. You might not believe it, but this is a rental company, they DONT control the weather. Please don't leave a negative review if your time happens to get cancelled due to high waves. Would recommend either book an earlier time or stay for a few days so you can wait for the right time to go out!
