Very pretty garden with something for all outdoors lovers. Ge Canadian and American sides each have…read morea driving course. There's no flowers, but lots of trees, lakes, and even camp sites. The walking area in the center has the flowers. There are thousands, and that's before the succulent and cactus building. It's $10 per person, and you can pay in USD or CAD. Pro tip, if you have a card without a foreign transaction fee then pay with that. It'll make your purchases cheaper.

I've been to another peace garden before, and this is by far the better of the two. This place is huge and has a lot of great things going for it. You can camp, picnic, "hike" and take in the extreme beauty of the area. They even have a cactus garden. There was a lot of renovating and planting going on when we were here, which took away from the experience, but it was still amazing to see the care that goes into everything. The design and layout are amazing, but there isn't a lot of shade cover. Make sure to bring sunscreen and hats!

Has onsite restrooms, playground, covered eating area volleyball and basketball areas. Gas station and other amenities nearby in town. The site was easy to back into. Drive past the playground and covered eating area and look for the white sign on the left side. A really nice surprise to find this easy overnighter.

This is newest addition to the NoDak park trails, still in it's infantile stage. Right now it…read moreconsists of an almost 1mi trail/walking path, a porta-potty & a large parking lot. The lot is well-lit, has several accessible parking spots & a security cameras. The paved trail is wide, with many benches dotting the path & a picnic table at the main overlook. This one of the few trails that will have snow removed. There is a slight increase in elevation- no matter which way you loop, you'll start with an incline & it's all downhill from there. ; ) It's a nice way to get out & get moving without too much battling the elements.

Leach Park is what you would expect from a park. Here's what it offers:…read more- playground - basketball court - tennis courts (with pickleball lines painted on them!!!) - picnic tables - trees - a pavilion - open field areas - restrooms -compost collection We've been frequenting Leach Park lately because of the pickleball court lines drawn on the tennis courts. (TIP: you can adjust the nets so they're lower for pickleball! (nets should be 34 inches high in the center and 36 inches high at the sidelines.)) The courts are nice enough -- after it rains, water pools near the net though. The playground at Leach Park isn't anything spectacular, but it's still enough to provide a few hours of fun for little kids. There are 3 slides, 3 regular swings, 1 toddler swing, and a few structures to climb on. The ground is covered in mulch. Basically, Leach park is your typical park! It's nothing fancy, but there's also nothing wrong with it. Right now it wins as the best park in Minot because of the pickleball court lines! Woot woot!

The trail is not that long, although there are several paths that loop around and connect back with one another and you can walk multiple loops if you want to go further. We went on a warm day and were grateful for the tree cover that helped provide shade. The trail has a slight incline and decline at times. It is very green and has a decent amount of trees along the paths. In the beginning you will have the option to cross over a bridge with water flowing underneath and part of the trail also has a view of the golf course. I loved that there were red benches to rest along the way and red trash bins. We enjoyed our walk here with our dog.

A small but varied walking trail, just off the road. On…read moreentering, you can veer left or right. Though, with such a short trail, you'll like complete both. One full pass on all spurs will put you around the 1mi mark. We knock out 2 full passes & 1 extra loop, just to hit our minimum of 2.5mi. As soon as you start your trek, you find yourself enveloped in the songs of the many birds filling the trees around you. This continues throughout. Unfortunately, over half the time, you'll also hear traffic passing by. You'll have the option to cross the creek twice on a bridge/dock, with a 25% grade. Here you might see turtles and/or ducks. The paths are very well groomed, with mostly level gravel covered paths. The grass along-side is mowed down about 18", lowering the chances of ticks hitching a ride from brushing against overhanging foliage. The trail is open for snowshoeing in winter as well & is maintained by the Minot Parks. Parking os limited tho the area is rarely heavily used.
