We love this school so much! They offer excellent extracurricular activities for preschoolers to enroll in such as soccer, music, science, and spanish. The staff is amazing and the kids are always learning so much developmentally appropriate things to help them prepare for kindergarten. It is worth the $ hands down. read more

I recently enrolled my daughter at Lake Murray Montessori School and I can't say enough good things about the school. All teachers including front desk personnel are so loving and caring. They treat my daughter as their own with love and care they need. I recently went Lake Murray Montessori School for Parent-Child Night. Basically your child picks 3 topics he/she wants to share with you. I was amazed how much she learned at school. My daughter is only 4 years old and she was already working on phonics and she got everything right!! I was hoping my daughter could recognize alphabets before she starts kindergarten but obviously she is ahead of the game. Parents beware. This is the most horribly ran children's care facility I have ever been around. They constantly ridicule and talk down to your children. The school is not a Montessori accredited school. The owner of these two schools would rather put your children in front of a TV in the morning and afternoon instead of hiring help to put the children in classrooms. There is an a Montessori school in the country that puts kids in front of TV as much as the school does most of the Montessori schools over is it don't even have a TV for viewing. There is absolutely no love towards the children, majority of the employees hate their job and it's quite obvious because they take it out on the kids. Staff is not kind to 2 year olds. They don't treat them with respect. Our child was trying to tell us there was something wrong. This school it is NOT accredited under the American Montessori society. I would NOT recommend this place at all! We had a bad experience. read more

The staff is not kind to children. Children have very little (if any) free play and a constantly being ridiculed. I have never seen a facility ran like this before, the staff should not be allowed to treat children the way they do. I would not recommend this school at all for 2 to 3 year olds. My two year old was enrolled there for three months and a half. The first three months, he seemed to be okay, but he didn't love it. The last two weeks were a nightmare. My child was in tears every time my husband and I picked him up. We asked the personnel on different occasions why he would be so sad and they said they didn't know. I am a teacher, so I found that answer very unprofessional. They never called us to discuss a plan or have a meeting with teachers. The teachers are never available to talk. There is no a parent portal, an app or an email where you can communicate with the teachers directly. The only person that usually gives the messages is the owner or the secretary. The secretary is the messenger. They gave my son a daily report that mostly said " He had a good day". There is no way you know what your two year old is doing. They never take pictures showing what kids do. The crafts are pathetic. They claimed to offer potty training, but only after observing him for just one day they said he wasn't ready for it. One day my son got home screaming, "STOP IT! I MEAN IT! LISTEN TO ME! NOW YOU GO AND SIT BY YOURSELF!" I couldn't believe what I heard! I immediately emailed the owner Ms. Lee and she didn't deny they tell kids to STOP if they are doing something wrong. My son was playing with sand. She promised to talk to the teachers about the way they talk to my kid. The school also called several times to pick up our son when he was sneezing and the owner told me over the phone, " every time he sneezes he leaves the germs everywhere and he doesn't know how to clean his nose." I travelled from my job 45 min away to take my child to the doctor and the doctor said it was just allergies and he is good to return to school. My son didn't want to enter the building anymore. The secretary explained she "thought" my child cried because he wanted to be picked up, which I found insulting. We pulled him out immediately. This school claims to be Montessori and they are not even close. The staff is not well equipped to handle a two year olds. The school is relatively new so I would find a school with more years of experience. read more

Our experience with this Montessori preschool has been excellent! Our son began when he was two and a half in 2015 and now our daughter who is 4 is a student. Being a part of LMMS is like being a part of a family. It is much more than just academic training. We have always loved the parent/child nights when our children have been able to demonstrate for us their "lessons" and all they are learning. We also very much appreciate the regularly scheduled parent conferences in which we are able to get one-on-one feedback from our child's teacher about his/her progress. One of the very BEST things about this preschool is its diversity - not only in the student family but also among the staff. This is very important to our family and not easy to find in preschool settings.
