Jubilee Academy is also a South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) member in good company with other prominent private schools like Ben Lippen, Cardinal Newman, Hammond, Heathwood Hall, and Timmerman. They genuinely care about my child, and it shows every single day. Since attending this school, my son has absolutely thrived. I recently read the 1-star review from April 14, 2023, and I wanted to share my own experience. I have never been told that I could not pick up my child at any time if I needed to. I also completely understand the reasoning behind not allowing visitors to walk around the classrooms after a tour. In my opinion, this is likely for cleanliness, safety, and the privacy of the children. Personally, I would not expect people to be walking throughout classrooms after touring the school. My son has received nothing but love, patience, encouragement, and support from the teaching staff. I am incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and for the growth I have seen in him. I truly cannot recommend this school enough! Parents are unable to simply show up unexpectedly and check on their children. You must make an appointment. They won't even allow parents to walk through the one and only entrance. It stays locked and You must ring a bell from outside and Ms. Gordon (supervisor/?) will come to the door. I understand safety, but she will not allow you to come in and walk to check on your children for any reason whatsoever. COVID is over. This is extremely concerning. The building is massive. They keep the two year olds in a back room where NO ONE can see. The children are forced to nap from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Way too long. If your child won't nap, they're forced to lay on a matt quietly or put in a separate room to sit with the supervisor. Huge turnover in teacher's aids. Children are always begging for water and food when picked up. I have witnessed from the parking lot the two year olds teacher, not aid, shoving the back of each child's heads out the door as they walked out of the side entrance passed her towards the playground. There is nothing about this place that feels good. No surveillance at the most expensive daycare/Montessori school in Lexington? RED FLAG.
