    Wine tasting

What an awesome hidden gem in Lake County! Jane was incredibly friendly and took us on a tour of their property. We learned all about their crops, their grapes, and the seasonal processes they follow to make amazing and unique local wines! The tasting experience was DELICIOUS and so worth it. So many great wines that are made in-house by the winemaker Tim. We are big fans of the Elderberry and Cabernet! I highly recommend visiting Lake Seneca Farms and keeping up with their local events. We found this experience to be enriching and educational in the tastiest of ways. We can't wait to come back in the summer when everything is in full bloom!

I had the bbq chicken dinner with cole slaw and Mac and Cheese. A good portion for an individual, not quite enough to share. The Mac wasn't runny or heavy with great flavor. The cole slaw was great. Really fresh.... The chicken was juicy and plenty of BBQ sauce. The sauce had just enough zip too! I live nearby so this is now a local favorite!

It's got some great theming with TV shows and music, but it also has some problems. First off, it's not a brewery. They have bottled beer and one craft beer. Not even a tap system. Decent selections of wine though. They don't have old-school video games. They have a large emulation system that charges way too much money and takes forever to find your favorite games. There was stuff all over the floor when I visited. I know the owners were going for a "party" atmosphere, but someone could easily slip and hurt themselves. Finally, they were charging top-dollar for little toys, like $5 for a mini Rubik's Cube. The slap bracelets were cool, but that's about it. Back To the 80's has some promise, but they need to actually be a brewery to live up to their name. Imagine the inspired beers you could make here.

We brought our wine glasses out back, sat on Adirondack chairs, & watched the sunset. It could either be romantic or a great party spot. The site also had multiple event spaces, including a speakeasy! You open a mirror & a beautifully decorated large room with sunlight pouring in was there. They had events such a karaoke there regularly. The main wine bar is eco conscious. Many wines were on tap to save on glass bottles. Their bottled wine also consciously use less glass, but still have enough to preserve the flavors of the wines. I personally loved the violet delight red blend. It has a grape in it that was previously thought to be extinct! The winery is picky about how their grapes are sourced as well to fit into their eco views. They had another red based off a doggo, but I forgot the name. It was my second favorite. I highly recommend starting with a flight. The staff is very confidently knowledgeable & an overall blast to be around. They also have charcuterie boards & PeterBrooke chocolates available for purchase. The owner stopped by to say a friendly hi. It felt like anyone who entered instantly became a friend. Their wines will still be sold in other locations, & the processing location is still there.

The bar manager was so bubbly and fun. She gave us our wine and kicked us out saying we had to go to the back yard before the sun set, so we ran around to the back. The back is a big space with market lighting overlooking the lake. There are wine barrels and chairs around where you can sit and watch the sunset and listen to music. We had a great time watching the sunset and sipping a good Pinot. I honestly wish I would have found Quantum Leap sooner. I'm very sad it's going away. God speed, QL!

There is plenty of seating both indoors and out. Make sure to order the pretzel with beer cheese--it is amazing, and they give you a perfect cheese-to-pretzel ratio (we actually had cheese left over!). While wine tastings are a bit pricey at $3-$4 for a few sips, their selection is fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single one I tried. They also sell the bottles retail, with some priced around $30. If you prefer beer, they have an amazing selection, including some house-made brews. You have to try their Pilsner, it is easily the best I've ever had, featuring a very unique orange and spice flavor profile. Just keep in mind that they close at 5:00 PM on Fridays, so it's definitely a brunch type of spot rather than a nightlife destination. They also have a great event space upstairs!

The vineyard grounds were nice but we didn't walk around too much because it was very hot and steamy outside. Here's what you came here for...THE FOOD and DRINKS!! Tickle me pink mimosa 7/10: a little tart but was good and it was very cute. Fairy sangria 7/10: came with glitter which we didn't realize until after we were almost done. But it came with a souvenir glass which was nice. It could've used a little more liquor. Chicken and waffles 9/10: the croissant waffle was delicious. Yes a croissant waffle - they make the croissants in house and turn them into waffles. The chicken was crispy and they loved that the waffle wasn't soggy when they served it. Chicken was seasoned well. Shrimp and grits 9/10: the creole sauce was so flavorful and had a nice spice. They weren't stingy with the shrimp portion and they were seasoned well. I wish there were more grits to absorb some of the creole sauce. I would still get this again m though. Waffle (on the side) 9/10: waffle was delicious and the pecan butter was so good and took it to another level. Felt there were too many strawberry pieces on the waffle, but it was really good. Breakfast flatbread 10/10: person enjoyed this and felt the gravy base was flavorful. Initially gave it a 20/10...it was so good.
