Fun venue, in The Villages, to watch nightly entertainment and grab a bite to eat. The BoxCar stage has a great vibe. The music is listed on the Villages Entertainment website, so you can see who is playing before you go. 1) Food - the bar (there's one large one outside) now offers food. At least it had options when I was there last week. They had a Hot Dog and a Polish Sausage. If you want other food - the Market has indoor options (you can do take out) and McGrady's Pub also had food for take out or eat in. At McGrady's you can sit outside and listen and see the music from the restaurant. 2) Drinks - the bar is always crowded, but the bartenders do a good job of serving everyone. They also offer bar specials. When I was last there - they had a 2:1 drink special on a specific drink. 3) Bring a chair - there is seating in the entertainment area (tables and chairs) and some cushy patio chairs on the perimeter, but the place isn't as big as the squares and gets full easily. If you want guaranteed seating, bring your own chairs - most people do - or go early. If you go early, you will be sitting in the sun. Definitely worth a visit - it has a more modern vibe than the regular squares. If parking is full, the Ezell rec center has parking in the same lot.

We stopped by last minute to take a few graduation photos of my niece before heading to her ceremony, and the grounds made the perfect backdrop. We didn't have much time to explore because we were trying to get to graduation, but everywhere we looked was beautiful. The property is well maintained, clean, and full of gorgeous photo opportunities.

UPDATE (July 2026): I also posted this review on a wedding review website. Approximately 18 months…read morelater, The World Equestrian Center disputed that review and asked the platform to remove it. I provided documentation supporting the factual statements in my review, yet it was still removed based on a technical eligibility determination, not because my experience was found to be untrue. Based on the platform's published review policies and the timeline of my case, I believe the review was removed in error. In my opinion, this is another example of WEC choosing to challenge customer criticism rather than take accountability. It only reinforces the lack of professionalism we experienced throughout our wedding planning process. I stand by every word of my original review and hope other couples will carefully consider our experience when choosing a wedding venue. - original review- Brides and grooms, beware. My fiancé and I signed a contract with the World Equestrian Center in December 2023 for our wedding ceremony in the Chapel and our reception on the Stirrups Terrace. We were thrilled, believing we had secured our dream wedding. However, just 41 days before our big day, I discovered on WEC's website that they were hosting a Grand Prix event in the main arena and selling tickets for a dining experience on the Stirrups Terrace where our dream reception was to take place. Learning about this significant change online, rather than through our WEC representative, highlights their unprofessionalism--unacceptable for a venue of this caliber. When we confronted WEC, they admitted to being aware of the conflict but insisted we relocate our reception to another area. All that was offered to my fiancé and I for this massive inconvenience was a 40 x 40 tent for 74 guests. Since we were unwilling to move our reception to a new location, WEC cancelled our contract with 37 days to go before our wedding date. They also refused to mass cancel our room block so my fiancé and I had to contact every guest that booked at the hotel to call and cancel. This breach of contract has utterly ruined our wedding day. It feels like a blatant bait-and-switch, driven by greed; they clearly prioritize making money over honoring commitments to their clients. They will toss aside your wedding contract if a better offer comes along. I strongly advise prospective couples to consider other options before trusting the World Equestrian Center with such an important occasion.

I was here recently for a wedding reception during the summer. We parked in the playground parking…read morelot and walked over to the venue. The playground was cool; it had water features. When we walked in downstairs, there was a bar on the side and tables and chairs. We got a drink and went outside for the view of the lake. It was cool to see the seaplanes taking off. The receiption took place upstairs. The bar in the middle was a good location and the line never got too long. They encouraged holding on to our wine glasses if we wanted a refill. The wedding wasn't too large so there was room for tables on both sides and a dance floor. The couple also set up a screen to project video during dancing; there was room for all of it. The food buffet was delicious and refilled generously. It was in all a great experience. Only one terrifying thing worth mentioning was at the end of the night, it was dark outside and light inside so all of the mosquitoes were attacking the windows and anywhere there was light. The staff said these were the type of mosquito that only lives one day. Still terrifying because there were so many of them (biblical amounts) and when we walked outside, we had to go through them. This is nature and not the venue's fault but be aware!

This is a beautiful event venue. The theme is antique. It's so gorgeous ! There's an amazing view…read moreof the lake because you are literally on the lake. It was so serene and made you appreciate nature. I recently worked at a wedding at this venue and I have only two complaints which makes it 4 stars instead of 5. 1. I was constantly up and down the stairs because dinner was upstairs and dancing was downstairs. 2. They also have specific rules about some of the antiques which can be difficult to comply with when you have people placing their wet cups on an antique table! It may be beneficial for them to maybe place some glass over the wood to preserve it better. Other than that the staff was helpful and made the event perfect for the bride and groom along with the wonderful coordinating staff, caterers, etc. 67/100 for the Review Challenge
