This was my 2nd visit to the winery. Tastings are now $5 a person and the tasting are extremely small but you get to keep the plastic logo tasting cup.I did get to try their warm mulled spice wine which was really good. They also offer free wine recipes for sangria and different cocktails. The tastings should be free in my opinion for the tiny amount you get or at the very least be offered a discount when your purchase a bottle. But I give 5 stars because their wines are delicious and the space is massive. But they get very crowded on weekends so come early! The lines outside were 30+ people deep and there was nowhere to sit so we didn't end up staying. The wine tour is really cool and they explain how the different wines are made and bottled. I love sampling each one and would love to comeback with friends for a wine and cheese night on the yard. They have a large retail store to purchase wines and choose your favorite to be bottled. There are tons of cute gift items as well for birthdays, anniversary or Mother's Day. Stopped in today on the way back home while on the west coast. Was googling dog friendly places since we had our pup with us and ended up stopping in. We were SO happy that we did. I've been before but was happy to show my husband and the dog the grounds. We walked around the distillery for wine tasting and since we were there on a weekend we gotta to hang outside with some live music. All the staff was very friendly and happy to say hi to the dog, conversation and tell us about the days activities. We happened to come on a day during harvest where I could finally stomp on some grapes. I've always wanted to do that and was delighted to check it off my bucket list. It was a wonderful experience I cannot wait to go back! The wine was delicious and now I keep rebuying it in my local Total Wine. Their sweet wines don't have this fake syrup flavor. Instead, the sweet wines are unique and delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. They did their best to make it a fun and pleasant experience for everyone. I came here for my birthday in October it was a nice cool day. The weather was perfect which was a plus since their seating area around the stage is open air. Speaking of stage, they have live music performances and overall was a chill afternoon. When you think about FL, wineries probably don't pop up on the list. I can't say I was a fan of the experience or wines. Basically, you pay $15 per person for a 5 wine tasting. You have to walk to a barrel where there is a rep who literally gives you a sip of wine and then you move onto the next barrel and another rep there. I'm used to far more wine for a tasting and prefer it at a bar. This process is unusual and I wasn't a fan, especially with tip jars at each barrel. I'm expected to whip out cash for a 1 minute visit with 5 different people? We had a glass of wine from the upstairs bar and outside upstairs. The whole experience was just odd and the vibe wasn't for us. I'm not even sure if there was outside seating on the ground level. The wine was nothing to write home about. read more

All the workers were very nice and answered any questions we had about the winery or gift shop. We went on a Sunday and it was not overcrowded at all. There's a large green space to the side of the winery where guests could bring blankets or chairs to lounge in while listening to live music, munching on food from the stand, or enjoying an ice cream from the twistee treat. The outdoor space is dog friendly and soccer/frisbee friendly. The weather was beautiful and the vineyard made a beautiful backdrop for pictures. It's beautiful and staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have free samples when you take the free tour. They then have a gift shop area where you can purchase wine and wine related items. Upstairs they have a bar area where you can purchase more wine samples that come with souvenir glasses. The outside area is great for getting out your lawn chairs and relaxing under the trees. They're the largest winery in Florida (they own the second largest in St Augustine), producing 2.5 million bottles a year: 40% is their sweet Southern Red. I like their Petite Sirah Sauvignon ($24.99) and Sauvignon Blanc ($16.99). They employ about 40 staff, from tour guides to field workers. The turn over is low and NO, they don't hire extra hands during the picking season (done by machines) - there goes my free meal - still have to go to France for it if it's still being offered. Wine tour runs every 20 minutes. 12 minutes movie about the winery, shown the father and son in the field - in Oxford shirt and khaki - seriously? Then go out in the open but under the roof , of their facility. Lastly the wine tasting, of a dozen of their wines, free of charge. $5 for their premium in an up stair room which we didn't go for. The tour takes an hour but you can join or leave at will. There are a few tables in and outdoors. But we didn't stay. It feels more like get the wine and leave - this is my first winery in Florida. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a winery in the city my sister lives in Florida. My brother-in-law took me to visit it while my sister was hard at work that day Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards opened its doors in February 1989 in Clermont, Florida and sits on a 127-acre estate in gently rolling countryside some 25 miles west of downtown Orlando. This area was once the center of the State's grape industry. Lakeridge ranks as Florida's largest premium winery, and remains a pioneer in the development of premium and sparkling wines from the native Muscadine grape varieties Noble, Carlos and Welder, as well as Vinifera varieties to include Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 1,500 so far with more to come each season. Most of the Lakeridge wines are made with Muscadine grapes, which are often referred to as the "Super Fruit of the South" because of their antioxidant levels, and anti-inflammatory properties. I enjoy this winery mainly because of the informative, insightful wine tours they offer. I left the tour feeling educated about their vineyard and wines and have visited several times. On the weekend you've got to check out their 'weekends at the winery' where they have live entertainment, food, wine, and an outside bar. The entertainment is held outside on their spacious lawn and you can bring your lawn chairs or blanket to enjoy the moment. Their wine tours and tastings are complimentary and run during the day lasting 30-40 minutes each. They start at 10 am and end at 4 pm. The tour gave me an appreciation for the history of the vineyard and winery. It was great learning about the variety of grapes in the vineyard, the way the wine is processed, and how they are moved from stage to stage. After the wine tour and tasting you can purchase some wine at a discount. I highly recommend buying a couple of bottles to take home and enjoy. My favorites are, Southern White and Southern Red if you want a sweet wine. The Chablis - it's semi-dry and good for sautéing. And, the Cabernet Sauvignon which is dry and medium-bodied. read more

Even though I don't drink, I've been wanting to visit Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards for a while now due to its rave reviews. Once you enter the property, you genuinely feel as though you've stepped onto a California or European vineyard. Flat Florida actually has some hills in Clermont, which highlight the rows and rows of grapes as they overlook a nearby lake. The actual building that houses the winery and store is mission-style and there's no admission fee. Staff welcome you as you enter and point you to the different areas, answer questions and provide you with a wine price list. My husband and I headed upstairs for the complimentary self-guided tour. It starts with a 15-minute long video on Lakeridge (Florida's largest winery and vineyard) and the wine making process. It shows on a continuous loop, so don't worry if you come in the middle of it. Then, you walk into the wine cellar - starting above it and then going downstairs for the complimentary wine tasting. There were 6 wines to taste and then in the middle of the store, they had a tasting of mulled wine. Of course, you can also purchase additional wines to taste (upstairs) as well as meat and cheese boards. Downstairs is where you can purchase the bottles of wine, books, packaged snacks, wine glasses, etc. Every step of the way, the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. I visited this winery yesterday. We had so much fun. We did the free wine tasting and then went to the gift shop. The employees were so helpful with our questions about the wine when we did the wine tasting. The employee in the gift shop gave us a sample of the mulled wine and explained how to make it along with the recipe posted up. We bought some wine in the gift shop. We then went outside and got strawberry wine slushies. We listened to the live music outside. There were people with chairs they brought to sit in the grass outside. She told us what the free wine tasting consisted of and directed us on where to start the tour. We came in a Saturday by the way. We tried various wine such as; Sunblush, Southern White and Chablis. Our favorite was the Southern White- it's was crisp and refreshing we left with 2 bottles. We loved the free tour so much we opt to pay for a wine tasting. I've lived in Florida for many many years and never knew Florida wine could taste good! This winery is lovely and definitely worth a trip to visit. You start your tour by walking through the big vats and getting samples along the way. Each station has a server to provide the sample along with information on the wine. You then get to the gift shop which is big and cozy, with wooden interior. We tried the mulled wine, and it was honestly the best mulled wine I've ever had. We ended up buying four bottles with the spices. We then ventured upstairs to do the self guided tour (self guided on weekends, guided tours during the week). We watched a video on the origins of the vineyard and got views on the terrace. Then we did the upgraded tasting for $5 each which gave two larger tastings. We also got a little cheese and cracker plate and enjoyed the views with snacking. When you buy 12 bottles you get an automatic discount, so we were sold! read more

Once we left the gift shop, we headed upstairs for the free wine tour which includes a very informative video of the owners of the vineyard that details how they got into the business and why they chose Clermont to set up shop. The end of the tour leads to a bar upstairs where we got glasses of wine & headed outdoors. I suggest bringing chairs to enjoy the live music, drinks and food options offered outdoors. I prefer going on the weekends since they have an ongoing event called "Weekends at the Winery." Whenever I go, I plan to stay for a few hours enjoying the live music while sipping a glass of wine or wine slushy. There are food options and a Twistee Treat on site! If you like to play cornhole, there's some of that too. That's always a fun game. If it is your first time visiting, I recommend beginning with the complimentary wine tasting. You go through different stations around their production facility tasting about six wines ranging from dry to sweet. The tasting ends at their shop, where you can buy your favorite wines and other accessories or gifts. After that, head to the second floor for the self-guided tour, which starts with a short video about the winery's history and production process. It is not a long tour; you walk on the second floor to see the production facility above and then view the vineyards from the balcony. The second-floor wine bar has charcuterie boards and cheese trays for purchase. You can also try some of their premium wines (not included with the tasting) for $5.00. Overall, I love this winery. It is so relaxing to escape to a place with such beautiful scenery. Everyone who works there are so welcoming and friendly. Excellent customer service. I had so MUCH fun at this winery! My friends & I arrived 5 minutes before the tour started. I believe they do them every hour (but don't quote me). The tour starts with a mini video telling all the back story about the company. Then the tour guide takes you outside and gives you more information. Our tour guided was Stuart & he was amazing! I was expecting to walk through the actual winery but I remember them saying they weren't in season. Once that little talk is over they take you outside & you start the tasting. My tasting was difficult rushed. It was the quickest wine tasting I ever done. Stuart was pouring those wines back to back! I do wish it was a bit slower so you can enjoy the taste of the wine a little more, but we still had so much fun. We were the last tasting so maybe that's why it was so fast. After the tasting we had 5 minutes to buy wine before they couldn't serve us anymore. I got a Chardonnay for $8 and cheese tray from the fridge $13. Overall I recommend for sure. read more

Came here on a Saturday around 2pm. It's about 35 min from where I live in downtown Orlando. The entire tour was self guided, but there were lots of staff around to help answer any questions. We tried 12 wines, I believe. The tasting goes from dry to sweet, and the sweetest ones were my favorite. The bottles for sale ranged from $11.99-$29.99. All very reasonably priced. They had a picnic area around back where live music was being played and hot food and wine were served. If purchasing a bottle of wine, you have to check it with a staff member and could not bring it to the picnic area. The glasses of wine for purchase were roughly $8 a glass and kind of small, so that sucked, but not the end of the world. Wonderful staff! They have the best gift shop I've seen in quite some time and the prices are very low compared to other wineries. I love that they have food on site, it may not be the healthiest food and I think it's a little bit over priced for the quality, but at least they have it. I love that there is a twisty treat there as well. We arrived on a Sunday and one of the hosts greeted us and told us that the food would close at four and the winery would close at five.
