It's been about 15 years since my last visit, and this park has removed a number of smaller flat rides since then. Lakemont is still a good value for a quick visit - $3 per coaster ride, with all-day wristbands coming in around $19 (there are some discounts for evenings, too). Parking is free, which is a plus. There's a train ride, an antique car ride, two big coasters, and two kiddie rides. Beyond this, are mini golf, go-karts, batting cages, a lake with paddleboats, and a small waterpark area. Leap the Dips and Skyliner make a great history lesson for anyone interested in classic coasters and trolley parks. Adults and teenagers may be bored with the line-up, but there's something here that everyone can enjoy. I do wish they had a few more rides - a simple carousel and a flying scooter ride would fit in well here. The rest of Lakemont, beyond the rides, is a nice, well-kept space with pavilions, basketball courts, and playgrounds. The staff I encountered was friendly - the Skyliner Ride Ops even asked us if we wanted a re-ride. If you couple this park with Delgrosso's nearby, or other local attractions, it's perfect for a quick visit.

This is more of a community park than amusement park. Many of the offerings are things that can be found at many community parks such as a volleyball court, basketball court, and batting cages. Skyliner is a decent coaster but a little rough. The go karts were nice as well. I didn't ride the train or antique cars but they looked pretty good. I don't understand why they need more than one miniature golf course, feels like they could have used that space for something else. If you come put something else on your itinerary because you're only going to need a few hours. Leap The Dips was closed when I visited. I enjoyed it but will only return when Leap The Dips reopens.

I really enjoyed the new park. 19.99 for unlimited activities is a really good deal. My family and I had a great time. Once they get the water slides and Leap-the-dips up and running it will be even better! I do wish they would add maybe one or two more activities to do but overall its not bad! We will go back again.

With a $5 entrance fee you just can't beat it!! Plenty of fun rides and activities for all ages. They have rides here I've never seen anywhere! And things you just can't do on the west coast. Along with all the fun, they have the oldest working roller coaster in the world. How freakin cool is that?!?! I sat in a seat that someone in 1920 sat in. Something really awesome about that, I feel a little closer these people that came before us. Sitting in school and reading about dead people who did things = boring! But now, being able to touch it, smell it, really brings history alive, makes me think maybe they weren't so different. They wanted the same things I want, work, love family, and have FUN!!!

Although it is an old amusement park, the prices were a bit ridiculous and overall for lunch I spent over $30 for lunch with 2 adults and a 2 year old. Surprised i didnt have to pay for napkins. I spent 20 to get in and I still havent rode anything worthy. Maybe its for the water portion but you pay $10 for ride n slide all day...wheres the ride part?

Lakemont used to be the place to be. Now it consists of about 5 rides. 5 RIDES. It's not worth the money or your time.

Terrific light drive-through light display. In 2024, it was less than $20/car for admission…read more The display has it's own broadcast of Christmas music (and lists of sponsors) on 88.5 FM. Plan for a long wait (in line in your vehicle) to get to the display -- we usually take dinner with us to eat while we wait, sing Christmas songs, and generally act silly to pass the time. Some years there has been only a short line for us, but we usually aren't so lucky. There are porta-potties along the entry wait line, and (as mentioned in the broadcast) "heated restrooms" are available at the end of the drive through. There are treats/snacks for sale just before the admission booth, Each of the light structures is sponsored by a (local) company, and some of the images are themed towards the sponsor. It's recommended, but not required, to turn off your headlights for the experience, which is not very simple (and perhaps not even possible) with some modern vehicles. You might want to plan for this before heading to the display. At the end of the drive, there's a small indoor gift shop and snack stand, an impressive model train display, and Santa Claus is also there and available for photos. The lights themselves are fun, and the drive is a nice experience. It does get a bit repetitive from year to year, but the first time is especially nice.

This is the 25th anniversary of the lights, so that tells you that there are many more to come. Piece of advice, attempt to get here as early as possible. This is definitely a hot thing to see. We waited in line for what felt like the better part of an hour. You weave your way through the parking lot of the ballpark and then when you funnel down to a single line you are about to enter the park. While you wait, there are characters that roam about the vehicles. Also, do not fret about having to use the restroom during the wait, you can exit your car and use one of the portapotties. Going through, with this being my first time, I am told that some displays are older than other and more are added just about each year. You can tell which displays are newer just by the lights that are used. Each display is sponsored by a local business and is displayed somewhere within the display or a sign near the display. Some displays are strictly Christmas and some are a mix of the business and Christmas. Something else to look for while in the car, especially if there are kids in your party, is the items of interest for that year. This year were toys that Santa favored. It's a great slow ride through the park where you can see displays everywhere. Some rides are decked out for the holidays as well. My favorite was Leap the Dips. Not only is it the oldest operational roller coaster in the world, but it was a total draw for me. Music is pumped into your car which is interrupted on occasion by announcements. But you don't mind that much while gazing at the lights. Definitely give it a look at if you are in the area for the holidays.

Being such a large family we don't get to do a lot of local activities that require individual passes. We do a lot of camping and outdoor activities. The kids absolutely love Urban Air and a visit is what they chose as a reward for good behavior:) (I mean come on 8....kids need an incentive to get along, lol) Not only did the DeGol and Palau families give my son a bike at Christmas, they also sent all of our kids Ultimate Attractions passes! We recently got a placement of a sibling set of sisters :) and thought that this was the perfect time to use our passes and the kids could really bond while doing something so fun! We went on Sunday and I didn't see the kids except when I ordered pizza (which they loved)! I got home yesterday and there was mail from Urban Air Altoona. The DeGol family and Palau families sent more passes to my kids and a handwritten letter thanking us for sharing our story. What an amazing, caring, and community minded business! I am very very grateful!

A worker named "Owen" told my friend to go to the other side and then called him a "good boy" We then told him he can't say that because he is literally an adult working there but he replied "I'm a minor too" "I'm 4 years older than you" Clearly this is not right so we tried to get his name but he persisted. A few minutes later Owen addressed my friend as a "bad boy" This experience disturbed my friends and I to my core. Later as my friend stood against the wall because he was out, Owen came behind him and started watching him. This is inappropriate, inexcusable behavior and should not be tolerated! This whole thing disgusted me, as it was very sexual. This was my experience at a usually very fun park. He failed to say sorry too.

PA is full of town parks. Centre County has some of the best in the state…read more Tudek is no exception to that. It has just about everything you would want in a rural park. There is a modern playground. There are athletic courts and fields. There is a really nice walking trail. There are several things that set this one apart, though. It has a dog park, for one. This is something uncommon in this part of the state. The other unique feature is a butterfly garden. It is quite beautiful and scientifically correct for the species of butterfly and bees in this part of the state. There is even a yearly educational program called Wings in the Park which was going on the day we got there. The program had activity stations set up with educational "questions" to help the young and old, alike, learn about the butterfly. There was even a station about bees. This program had information on new methods for growing perennials that are friendly to the butterfly. They had information on conservation efforts in effect in order to save the rapidly disappearing Monarch butterfly. Back to the park itself. The main trail winds through some fields. One of which appears to be a horse pasture. It is really odd, too. You would think with the developments nearby, that you would feel like you were in the middle of a residential area. You don't feel that way. It feels completely rural and relaxing. I imagine this would be a great place to go for a jog. The main trail is paved. But there are little grass covered trails and reflection spots throughout the butterfly garden. So with all this, I can really highly recommend this park. One of the top ones I have been to in along time. I mean... butterfly garden? Yep, with sunflowers, semi exotic looking native birds, and natural beauty, this would be a great place to visit daily.
