It's a fun little park in the middle of Central Pa - just outside of Altoona. The water park is refreshing, and pretty easy to navigate. If you order tickets online, you will save about $5 per ticket. Just be sure to stop at the Guest Services window to get your wrist band. Lockers are all day and come in 3 sizes. The large was big enough to get everything we wanted to get in and more. The park, like a lot of places, is cashless. So remember to go in prepared for that. read more

Very subpar. Luckily my mother won free tickets to this park because it was not worth the 2.5 hour drive we had to get there. Only 1 slide, the kiddy pool, and the wave pool were open. The wave pool closed early. The amusement park area isn't special as well. This is definitely a good place if you have young kids. Games and small rides, not too much fun for 3 adults. I will say though it is very clean there. The flower beds, hanging baskets, and the scenery of the hillside were all very nice as well. read more

Yet another awesome visit to DelGrosso's last week. We went on a Wednesday and the crowd was very light. No waits all day of more than a few minutes at the most and a lot of the time it was just walk up and ride. Another bonus was that the wind was blowing in the correct direction at the water park so you could smell the scent of spices/sauce as the factory was in high gear all day long. Speaking of sauce, if you have bought any of the Delgrosso products at the park, this year everything has a new home in their new gift shop. I'm not going to give it away but if you think that the discount on the sauce jar is good you need to dig harder as much better discounts exist if you search for them. (Kudos to Gregory over at the water park first aid station who helped my daughter out when she cut her nose while riding the Great White slide. He was a first rate professional in every way.) read more

This park is a neat little hidden gem 15 minutes from Altoona. Family of four gets in for $100 (discounted rate). $120 at door ($30 a pop). Here's a breakdown: Cleanliness: 5 stars. Very neat and clean! Food: 4 stars. Lots of Italian options Water Park: 5 stars. Five or six slides, a lazy river, a large kids pool and food and drink stands. Amusement Park: 3.5 stars. This park is great for 4-7 year olds. Not many rides and no roller coasters but neat and plenty of food and shade. Parking: 5 stars. Free parking and very close to entrance. Who would know the famous pasta sauce had it's own amusement park? I didn't. If I had not received free tickets, I probably would have never known. I wasn't sure what to think of this place at first. I saw pictures online and it looked small and unsatisfying. But I gave it chance.... and I loved it! The water park is amazing for kids and adults alike. There are two huge waterslides, a wave pool, kids pools, and a lazy river. I personally enjoyed the lazy river. They have lockers that you can rent for the day. They are pretty inexpensive. I think our's was $6. You can also bring your own coolers filled with food and water. That is not allowed at many amusement parks so I thought that was a nice bonus. There are many food options throughout the water park, mostly Italian-themed. Pizza, pasta, cheesesteaks. We tried a slice of pizza and it was delicious. You can purchase their sauces in the souvenir shops. The ride park is mainly for kids. They have a "Kid Kingdom" designed specifically for kids. We found some rides that were our size. They are a little farther, in the back in the park. The lines for those were relatively short. The longest we waited was 10 minutes. It seemed that the park attendants were well-trained and knew how to move people through the line. Some would even tell you which seat to get on to speed up the process. We found that many of the rides were standard county fair style rides, but they had some that weren't. The ride park was extremely CLEAN. I noticed many attendants emptying trash cans, collecting trash, etc. You can tell they really take pride in their appearance. The food options in the ride park are pretty diverse. This park is divided. No, seriously, it's divided, by a boulevard. On one side of the park you have a tradition family ride-centric park that offers more than enough fun for you and your kids. The other side is now a fully functioning waterpark. Don't worry, these parks are connected by a walkway that carries you over the busy street below. This park reminds you more of a community/county fair more than an amusement park. The rides that are offered look as if they can be moved at any moment to a new location as they seem more fit for transportation rather than to remain for a long period of time. If you are looking for thrill seeking rides best to look elsewhere. The fiercest ride here is the Crazy Mouse, the closest thing that you are going to find to a roller coaster. Most of the rides here are aimed towards children and young adults. So if you are like me, be prepared to do a lot of walking and a lot less riding. One of the big things that we found to be discouraging here was the inconsistencies that we ran into with ride operations and entrance to the park. The aforementioned Crazy Mouse for one. We took my niece on this ride, had her stand on the height restriction pad to make sure she was able to ride the ride. Our first time through she was allowed to and enjoyed the ride. When it came time for us to ride it again we were turned away. What is strange about this is that the same exact staff who let us on the first time did not care that we were just on it, rather they were flexing their muscle and wouldn't budge. The other ride where this happened, the Yoyo (the rotating swing), we were on twice, but the third time we were told no. Is it only to your convenience that you follow the "rules" or are the staff not properly trained to do their job? Another inconsistency we ran into was the entrance process. First let me say that the pricing for this park is surprisingly fair. For what you get here, the price is right on the mark. But if you want a better deal you can purchase your tickets online first and score a slight discount on ticket pricing. This is exactly what we did thinking that would afford us the luxury of skipping the lines at the admission booths and walk right in. Wrong. Even if you buy tickets online you still have to wait in the line to purchase tickets. Once there you present your printout from online and are given a wristband to enter the park. A much unneeded process if you ask me. If you want to come here, I would say come here solely for the waterpark portion as you can easily spend a day here and enjoy yourself. This portion of the park looks brand new and has a lot to offer even if you choose to laze around the pool. This side of the park has an Italian theme to it that carries throughout. Everything looks as if you are in an Italian countryside area. The kiddie pool area has the Coliseum for the big bucket, a part of another pool that adjoins the lazy river has a water tower that looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the wave pool looks as if you are near an Italian cliff edge. Even the food stands have that Italian kick you'd expect. A pasta area caught my attention as you go in and watch them make your pasta with exactly what you want right in front of you. Changing area are separate from restrooms. Lockers available if you don't want to lug your stuff around. Newer chairs are available around the pool areas. Life jackets free of charge for the little ones. Food throughout the park is priced high, much what you would expect from an amusement park. This park also offers pavilions for rental and a performance stage for larger events. Designated smoke areas are available throughout the park for your convenience. This is an awesome place if you have younger kids who are too small to get on the rides at the major theme parks. I would not recommend it for an adult-only group looking to have fun. I don't think you'll enjoy yourself so much as if you take young kids. There is an abundance of different foods that were reasonably priced the last time I was there. Highly recommend Murf's potato salad if you like potato salad. Check their calendar to see when events are taking place. They have a bunch of different festivals and guests throughout the year. What a pleasant surprise!! We were searching for places to go in the area other than Kennywood and Idlewild parks, mostly because my nephew is only 1 y.o., and we stumbled upon Delgrosso's Amusement Park. We were a little bit reluctant as it was a 2 hour drive and also the website leaves a lot to be desired but all of those fears soon went away when we got there! For starters, admission and parking to the amusement park is free! You can purchase tickets for the rides ($0.50 a ticket). To get access to the water park, you need to purchase the ride all day admission @ $29.99- this includes access to the water park and unlimited rides in the amusement park. However, if you purchase specialty marked pasta products in your local supermarket, you will find a coupon for $5 off which is great! A tip: don't pay when you enter. Go around and check it out before you purchase your tickets and admission in case you don't like what you see- also, if you purchase your ticket in the Kiddie land area, there's little to no line, so you can purchase your tickets or wristbands and ask your questions without worrying about keeping the line moving. Another thing I have to cover is how immaculate the park is. We did not see one trace of litter anywhere in the park, the bathrooms were very clean, the sidewalks were spacious, there were beautiful plants and flowers everywhere, and everything was in tip top shape. It looks as if the park just opened- they take extra care in the appearance of the park and it truly shows. The amusement rides are more your run of the mill family rides- bumper cars, dizzy rides, a nice train ride, a small roller coaster, pirate ship, and a kiddie section with swings, helicopter ride, Dumbo ride, a small caterpillar coaster, etc. They aren't for the thrill-seeking, but if you are looking for all around family fun they do the trick! The waterpark is just fabulous! There is a huge Leaning Tower of Piza fountain that sprays water, a beautiful lazy river (although be warned there are a lot of things that spray and soak you on the lazy river - don't fall asleep! :D), a huge water jungle gym and mushroom fountains for the kids, and a nice baby pool with a small water slide. Also, there are two large water slides for adults- my boyfriend (age 20's) and brother in law (age 30's) rode them over and over because they were so fun! Another huge plus is the food- very affordable. Drinks are about $2 and cost per person for an entree is about $6. There is a wide variety, including American favorites (burgers, hotdogs, steak hoagies, fries, soft pretzels), Italian specialities (pasta, salads, strombolis, pizza, Italian baked subs), a deli stand with cold sandwiches and salads, ice cream, and funnel cakes, to scratch the surface. There is something for everyone and everything we tried was fantastic and fresh. I was struggling to find anything I did not like here- the only thing I came up with is that they serve Pepsi instead of Coke (haha). Delgrosso's is a top notch park for families and I encourage anyone to check it out for themselves. We will definitely be back next year! read more

For quite a number of years, PA Rainbow has been coming to this park during our convention time. It has grown so much with a full on water park, the selling of their family made Italian sauces and the rides for the kids and young at heart are fantastic. The gift shops, food, and even games are too fun. In addition to the rides we are fed a wonderful chicken dinner that is always worth waiting for. Then its back on rides and eventually to the hotel. We love this place, its fun if you are visiting the Altoona area. PA Rainbow is glad to have a place for the girls to let loose!! read more

While visiting with family in PA we stopped by here for a day. There were 11 of us so we rented two cabanas. Which I highly recommend. They are cheap compared to other places and were really nice with good wifi, a fridge, and lots of chairs and loungers. And it was nice not to join the rush when the gates open to find a good spot. The first thing we did was try out the lazy river and it was great. The kids had a blast and even our 14 month old loved it. I then took the little kids to the sprayground while the teens went to the waterslide (singular, I'll get to that later). My kids really liked the sprayground as well. Then we went to the wave pool. The waves are maybe not as big as others I've been too but it was perfect for the little ones. Then we had lunch. And wow, the food was good and at great prices. I had a steak sub while the rest of the fam had burgers, chicken sandwiches, tenders, etc. For dinner we had pasta, salads, pizza, etc. It may have been the best pasta I've ever eaten! And easily enough for two people. In the late afternoon we checked out the ride side and again the kids had a blast. Even though we were at the Clearfield Fair the day before (killer value btw. $8 admission fee includes unlimited rides). The only ride with a line was the Crazy Mouse which was my kids favorite. OK now for the downsides. The limited hours were a bit of a pain. I would have liked to get there at 9 or 10 and do the ride side first and the waterpark after lunch and then finish up with some rides at night. But with the ride side not opening until noon and closing at 8pm that was not possible. It worked out though because we got back to the campground in time for a fire and smores. Next, they only had one waterslide open at a time (and the big wide one wasn't open at all). This made sure that the line was always all the way down the stairs and then some. My kids only had the time and patience to wait in the lines once per slide. Which is a shame because they really enjoyed them. A couple last little gripes. Our cabanas were on the island which meant having to walk out of the way to get anywhere. Another bridge or the ability to cut through the lazy river would be nice. I also thought that the kids would be able to play under the Eifel Tower and access the lazy river from it. But it was all roped off. The picture on their website only shows the lazy river roped off and kids under the water fall. So when we visit again next summer we will probably be back (if we don't go to Hershey). It's a great little park at a pretty good price. I only posted the pics I took of all the menus since there are plenty of the park. Oh, and our cabanas. read more

Great park to visit if you have younger children. About half the size of Knoebels in Elysburg, and caters to a younger audience. We took our 5 and 3 year olds there a few months back. There's ample parking available, with access to the park by a bridge over top of Old Us Route 220 in Tipton. PA. In the mountains it gets much cooler and it makes for a beautiful day. Large number of picnic tables and decent shade, you can bring in your own food. Price-wise its exceptionally affordable compared to Six Flags and Hersheypark. (2016 admission is 29.95, has military discounts, or .50 cents per ticket, with each rid ed costing 2 - 3 tickets). They have an all-day-ride pass or pay as you go rides, which have a further discount on the backs of DelGrosso's Spaghetti sauce. Waterpark (recently expamded ro include the Wace Oceano & Lazy River) is a blast, 5 year old loved it! They have a splash pool for the little kiddos & an "inner tube slide and a matt slide. read more

Do not waste your money! We have been going for years, at least once a year if not more. The last few years it increasingly has gotten worse. The customer service is almost nonexistent. My young daughter of 10 wanted to go on a slide in the water park, we waited in line and at the bottom of the steps were told we could not bring cellphones or glasses on the ride. Since I couldn't just leave my phone unattended (they make it clear they are not responsible for stolen items), I escorted my daughter to the top, made sure she got on the slide, and then walked back down. I was immediately greeted by a manager stating there are not cellphones or glasses allowed. I said that I understood which is why I took my daughter but (her eyesight is really bad) and then walked back down the stairs to comply with those rules. They said I still could not do that. I was perplexed, I didn't want her tripping and falling down all those steps . . it could be lethal (not exaggerating) - I did not say that to them. I just said she couldn't see. The girl, 18, was so full of hostility and attitude and I just said, I want my daughter to have a good time that's all and she couldn't see. She kept wanting to engage in an argument so I said I need to find the rest of my family and turned around to leave. She said she was calling security. We had security following us around the park while we looked for the rest of our party and finally I turned around and said "Are ya'll following us? If you are, I'm sorry we weren't trying to ignore you." The supervisor over the girl (manager 18 yrs old), proceeded to state that the manager accused me of "yelling" at her and that I needed to apologize. She apologized for the manager to me for how I was treated and then demanded I apologize to the manager. I looked her in the eyes and said "You apologized for her and now you want me to directly apologize to her for something that I didn't even do?" The manager spoke up quickly and said "I can apologize for myself." She did and then the supervisor, Courtney, insisted that I still apologize to the girl or she would have us removed. I again stated that I walked away, and I was sorry if that offended her, but I did not want to engage in further interaction because my daughter did not need to be a part of a negative experience and continue to be subjected to her. They let me go but patronized us by stating "as long as you promise nothing else will happen tonight, you can stay." I looked at her with a blank face and then told Natalie to come on we needed to find our family. It was a power play on both the manager and the supervisor because the entire situation could have been fine if they had spoken to me to make sure I understood the rules and then let me go. But because I walked away, the girl got upset and made it an uncomfortable and negative experience for all of us (the other children saw/hear the tail end of the conversation with the 3 ladies - young security guard girl, manager, and supervisor). So many things happened that day to other strangers that we witnessed and then more to us on the other park ride side . . my kids waited in line for a candy apple and then were told there were no more. So, they wanted to get a refill in their souvenir cup of lemonade and where told to go down to the next line. We stated they were probably closed but they assured us we'd be taken care of. So, we did and were told that once the song starts playing they are closed (it's lemonade . . just a drink that are running right behind them). We had a long trip home and we just wanted a drink . . to pay for a drink and they were very rude about (no, we are closed! and, by the way, the window did not have the closed sign up but they put it up afterwards). There were just too many things wrong . . no customer service . . no kind people . . and I'm wondering if being Hispanic had anything to do with the way we were treated. I will not be going again . . they lost several customers for life. PS We were in another line right before this, at the same place, and a little boy with his mother was waiting for icecream . . as soon as he got up to the window the teenage boy put up the "closed" sign right in front of him. The mother was shocked and I agreed stating "that's messed up." The boy heard us and took down the sign and took the boy. When it was our turn he said they didn't see lemonade in that line to go to the next . . and you know the rest. read more

My family and I visit Delgrosso's at least once or twice every summer and it's always a fun and pleasant experience. The younger kids have just as much fun as the adults do! It's affordable, clean, friendly family fun! There's usually short waiting lines for the rides. They have most of your typical rides: Scrambler, Tilt-A-Wirl, Swings, Pirate Ship, as well as the Crazy Mouse roller coaster and new X-Scream tower (Warning: do not ride if you're afraid of heights! It's a doozy!) The food there is very good and affordable. The pizza is amazing. Talk about good pizza sauce! So yummy! Their subs are equally as good! I grew up going to "Bland's Park" and continued to go to DeGrosso's over the years as it expanded. I recently came back for the first time in years to enjoy the water park additions and a few new rides. I was sad that Austin's moved across the street, but we just walked outside of the park to get some anyway. I was impressed by the water park renovations and how professional the lifeguard team was. I did see a lot of people bring in their own food, which I didn't think was permitted, and I was surprised there was no inspection of bags. Food prices are reasonable and it was $10 to rent a large locker for the day. It was also spaghetti Wednesday, so we took advantage of that -- although I don't think that large of a crowd was expected since they ran out of both the alfredo feature and spaghetti within about an hour and there was a wait -- it was worth it though. Went home with some Marianna's hoagies and Murf's potato salad as usual. read more

We spent a pleasant day, super recommend the rental of the cabana but unnecessary if you arrive super early well before the park opens. The cabana is an extra comfort for the small ones, with cold drink and privacy, besides shade and breeze. Telling that the park was already full after 30 minutes after opening. We could hardly have got chairs. Throughout the day I could see that people spread their towels over the grasses where they got space and with a bit of luck also a shadow. The only thing I found bad is in relation to the schedule that the park opens, 11am, for a water park is ridiculous. This time the sun is already very hot We went on a partly cloudy summer day, however the park is very crowded, especially in the afternoon. We are 2 adults, 1 child with 10 years and a child with 3 years. honestly the water park is nice, but the biggest fun to my little one was on the other side in the rides. There is a lot of choice for the youngest children from 3 or 4 years and the rest reminds me of a carnival. We had fun and went on all the rides without having to wait hours. Delgrosso's has become a summer staple for me and my daughter. We've had season passes for the past two years. The weather hasn't cooperated as much this summer but we still hit the park every chance we get. Rides: this is not a huge amusement park but it has enough rides to keep you busy for an hour or more depending on lines and how many times you want to ride each ride. You can buy a pass which will get you unlimited rides and access to Laguna Splash or just purchase ride tickets. Admission to the ride side is free. Laguna Splash: the wave pool is very popular for all ages. There are two water slides for older kids but overall I would say the park is geared towards younger kids but it is fun and enjoyable for everyone! Food: hands down you will have amazing food here! Pasta, pizza, Marianna's hoagies...you can't go wrong! One final note, this is the cleanest amusement park I have ever been to. I watched a woman trim shrubs with scissors and pick up every clipping. This was our first time at this amusement park. The family enjoyed themselves. We hit the water area first. They have a big kiddie area and 2 big water sides. Nice and small water area. We had a great time there. Next onto the ride area. This was unusually small for us because we use to huge amusement parks. They have more elementary kiddie rides in the kids kingdom area. Rides for kids under 4 years old. It's something nice and slow if your not a person who wants to be worried about losing your kids in a big crowd. There won't be one here. They also have some rides for the big kids age 15 and under and go karts too. It rained today but it didn't pour down so the rides kept going and the kids enjoyed every minute of it. This this place is great. If you have young kids they will love you for taking them there. Entrance to the amusement park is free! You only pay for what you do or eat. You can buy an all day ride pass for a pretty reasonable price. The food is quite good and during the summer they usually have dinner specials on Wednesday nights. The water park is a little more pricey but if you live nearby and plan to go a few times over the Summer you can save a lot with daily or seasonal passes. This past Summer I decided to brave the crowds and went with the family to see the 4th of July fireworks. I have long been told their July 4th fireworks display is fantastic but the crowds were unbearable, so I put off seeing the show until this year. In reality getting in, and enjoying the park seemed pretty reasonable, especially for a big holiday. And yes the fireworks show was fantastic. It wasn't until after the show was over that I learned what the trouble was. After the fireworks everyone tries to leave at once. It might not have been so bad even at that if they has more than two guys out by the entrance directing traffic. The parking lot was a free for all and getting out took over an hour and a half. During that time I witnessed three fender benders, two of which ended in fist fights. All of this could easily have been avoided with 4 or 5 more employees helping with traffic direction out in the parking lot. However with the unpleasantness of the after show free for all aside, 4th of July was fantastic and the park is a great place to take the family any time it's open. read more

This is a very nice water park and amusement park in central PA. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a modern and well-maintained water park in this area. The water park portion of the park is very shiny and clean. The lifeguards/staff were courteous and helpful. The lazy river is a great feature, and the shallow pools featuring a leaning tower of Pisa and various slides and play areas will keep kids busy for hours. The handful of rebel flag towels laying about made me a little uncomfortable, but hey, it's rural Pennsylvania after all. The amusement park portion of the park (across the street from the water park), is noticeably older and dingier. The teenage employees (who I assume are less trained and less paid than the lifeguards on the water side) are a bit rude and don't exactly exude customer service. There are plenty of simple rides for small kids, as well as some larger faster rides for older kids and adults. Nothing too fancy, basically a state fair on steroids. The water park portion of this park is the real reason to visit. A great way to spend a hot summer day in central Pennsyltucky! read more

Visited on Labor Day 2018 with my children and 70 year old mother. First, the park is very clean and the staff is VERY polite. Food prices are reasonable. It's a cute little park with the most fantastic views of the mountains. The park was extremely crowded. That's our fault for going on a holiday. The weather was horribly hot and humid and there wasn't any real relief from the heat. The lines to get into the wave pool, lazy river and water slides were so long that we nearly fainted just waiting in line. We rented a cabana but inside the cabana was hotter than outside. No breeze whatsoever. I definitely think they need ceiling fans inside the cabanas. I'm not sure what the real benefit of the cabana is other than having a guaranteed place to sit for the price of $69.00. read more

We came to the park today, from Pittsburgh, for the very first time. It was very crowded, because it was Labor Day and they had a 10.00 admission sale... everything, however was ran smoothly and not confusing at all. The food options are amazing.. the rides, slides and games were perfect for my children (ages 8-4). It was very clean and the employees were helpful! We had a chance to go here through my niece's school. It was bigger than we expected. Most of the rides are the type you would find at a fairground. Still lots of fun for the kids. We were there the opening day of their expansion of the water park. The lazy river and wave pool water was cold. The Laguna waterworks area water was just right. Since it was hot that day we spent most of our time at the water park. There's all sorts of places to eat at both parts. Prices are reasonable. read more

I went here despite knowing that it was not very big and not a huge Thrill Park. However for what it is it is pretty nice. The water park is excellent. Midnight Express and gravity Groove are the some of the best waterslides I've ever been on. A lazy river and wave pool we're pretty nice and had a lot of Italian theming but we're also pretty basic at the same time. In fact the whole water park has a nice Italian theme complete with Italian music. The concession stands are also Italian themed and sold a lot of Italian base dishes such as pizza and Stromboli. The park itself which which is located across the street from the water park had a small selection of mostly Family Rides and the feeling of a small Fair Midway however I was able to find several rides at really good including the swing buggy, paratrooper, galleon, Rockstar, bumper cars, and train ride. Again the wild thrill rides are missing here and instead it is mostly like a Small Town Fair Midway intended for families with small children. It did seem however that on some of the rides the ride cycle was surprisingly short for a free admission Park in fact I think those are the shortest Cycles I've ever seen at a free admission Park. Luckily almost everyone in line had a wristband. Overall this is a very enjoyable place as long as you know you're not going to see any huge thrill rides and major coasters. read more

We have not seen or visited a better small family amusement park anywhere. Perfectly clean, no riff raft, inexpensive and beautiful. The pizza is really good.. We were there about 5 years ago and our Son(then 14) left his phone on a ride. The operator found it and called my phone and found us to return it. Its that kinda place.. The go karts and mini golf are the best we have seen. Not too far from State College pa if you are out that way. Its a must visit read more

Love this place. Affordable lines weren't long and the kids had a blast.
