We have 5 AA groups, FAR Conservatory (Art and Music Therapy for Special Needs), Knitting and Blanket Ministries that make chemo caps and blankets for local hospitals and cancer centers, a monthly Third Thursday Lunch for seniors, and more. We house the homeless thru MCREST for a week each year, and gather gifts for the Macomb County Friends of Foster Kids each Christmas. A major concern we had was a sermon promoting "holy laughter" from 7/2/17 which can be viewed on the website. "Holy laughter" was also physically manifested during the church service that day by members of the congregation. Although we feel the people of this church are truly trying to do the right thing, we do not agree with teachings based on the theology of Randy Clark (of the Toronto Blessing/Global Awakening), Bill Johnson (of Bethel), Heidi Baker, etc. So it is with sad regret that we cannot recommend this church, and we ask that you please pray and do your own research prior to attending. This is our own personal opinion and it has cost us greatly to take this position.

Upon arriving at our usual…read moretime to beat the heavy traffic, we were told through the intercom we couldn't come in until 5 pm. We had no where to go for 1 1/2 hours and it was stifling hot outside. The lady who told us we have to come back didn't greet us to explain the new rules. There was no prior warning from the week before announcing this change at the movie night. Also, there was no sign in the vestibule making us aware of the change. This situation did not make us feel welcome and inviting. I don't understand why the 5 pm time to enter the movie room wasn't announced at the previous movie night? We drove from a distance and were very hot so we decided to go back home. Why is this church not hospitable and welcoming? Where's the good and timely communication? Why the cold demeanor?
