Actually, so far so Awesome…read more Ms. Shelby is their teacher and although she is younger she really runs that preschool room very efficiently and smoothly, and all the kids including mine love her. The overall facility is very clean and organized, with the children divided into appropriate age groups. The security system to get into the building makes me feel safe leaving my kids there. Beside a curriculum of learning, my twins have also experienced the tumble bus while there, weekly music classes, work on fine motor skill by playing games and climbing the rock wall that is in the gym- yes a Rock Wall, how cool is that for the kids. One of the best things is you get to keep up on what your child is doing throughout the day via emails you are sent, I know exactly what they are doing every time they switch activity/learning lesson. Only thing that bothers me is there is no snack time. My 3 yr. olds are there from 9-11:30am and there is no snack time. My kids are not big eaters when they wake up, but I know around 10pm they are hungry. I feel bad they cannot eat until I pick them up 11:30am. I wish I was able to provide a snack so that they could have a 10 minute break to refuel. Oh, and there is no "contract" at this place either, all you do is give 2 week notice should your situation change and you no longer want to attend.

We had to relocate to sandiego 2 days ago but my kid keeps saying about her classroom friends and teachers 24×7 and says wants to go back to MCA after she comes from school she would enact and play her classroom scenarios with her soft toys as her friends, herself and me as Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa. She loves her classmates and Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa as they do so. Even I am so addicted to talk and play with my kid about her classroom. The best thing happened in her life is being a MCA student, I wish I had known about this place earlier and enrolled her from toddler program itself as they're in practice for more than 15yrs. We had to relocate otherwise she would be still going to Ms.Smita's classroom at MCA. My kid loves the place and the gift letters given to her from her friends and school. Ms.Smita has so much positivity and ever smiling face which influences the kids that even I take her as an example on this is how I need to be with my kid. Their education methodology is the best around Detroit as my kid was attending couple of daycares around until she was 3, I can compare her learning and behavioral development after going to MCA. Most importantly teaching is based on montessori methodology through activities taught to kids with love and care. She's eating even rice by herself now thanks to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa and Ms. Nancy. Thanks to Ms. Aari for teaching spanish and engaging the kids with the exercise song and dance moves. My kid perfectly teaches us that since beginning. She recently started full-time just for 3 weeks before our move and enjoyed time with Ms. Chris arts and crafts classes. Overall MCA is the best thing happened to my kid and us in Detroit and Ms.Smita's classroom is the only thing we miss now. Great disservice to these children who will not be ready for kindergarten.

It is obvious he feels comfortable and is happy each day when dropped off and picked up. Both the owner, Sandeep, and director, Amee, are extremely personable. They keep an open communication line between the parents, teachers, and themselves; making it easy to feel confident and comfortable with leaving our little boy in their care. Our little one is crawling and beginning to want to walk, so he will be moving to the First Steps room in the next few weeks. We expect to feel just as confident in his new teacher and for him to continue learning and developing as he has. We would definitely suggest The Goddard School to anyone!

The church and school combination has continued to serve the community since the turn of the last century, and although it might sound like the buildings are perhaps outdated, to the contrary, the church is modern and up-to-date, with beautiful stained glass windows and a pipe organ that is one of the larger ones in the region. The school is smaller than many of the local elementary schools, but the students receive some of the best training and education in the State of Michigan. Every testing system ever used to evaluate the student's progress has consistently scored them in the upper echelon of elementary education. Attached to the school is an Early Childhood Center which continues to receive awards year after year.
