Doesn't look like much on the outside or inside, food was good though, and tartar sauce was amazing. Would come back.

My aunt and uncle, and most of their friends it seems, come here often. It's a bit of an older crowd here, but still worth checking out. Though, make time for parking because it's street parking and there's not much of it close by. I got the soup d'jour which was potato and leek. It was yummy and comforting, especially on a cold and rainy day. The soup was savory and not over salted. My main course was fish and chips. The fish was plump, and the batter was crispy. The fries were on the softer side. I didn't try the cole slaw because I'm not a fan. Service was friendly. I would state that you should come here when you are not in a time crunch. Not that they're slow - I think the food came out in time. But you want to take the time to enjoy the food, views, and company. Lastly, the atmosphere is more on the quiet side, at least for Americans maybe (I guess I'm feeding into the stereotype but also I come from a loud family). So something to keep in mind when you're there.

They are the same owners as Fat Rabbit, another elevated restaurant that is very popular. I ordered the following: 1. King of the World Mocktail ($12). 2. Salmon Trifle (half size, $14). 3 Secreto Frites ($48). 4. French Toast ($18). For solo diners like me, they gave a breadstick wrapped with raw tuna and dabs of wasabi, along with a few olives. This is a nice touch! I don't like wasabi but it wasn't too strong, so acceptable for me. The mocktail consists of Martini Floreale, Bergamot, Pear & Apple Soda. There is bitter and sweet in it. Quite good for a mocktail. The Salmon Trifle consists of Salmon mixed with Avocado, Cucumber, topped with Smoked Gribiche. It is served with a plate of chips. It is quite a good and unique tasting dish. It comes with a little spoon that you can use to scoop the salmon. You can even put it on the chips. The Secreto Frites is a Koji Marinated Iberico Pork. It is accompanied with a Cafe de Paris dipping sauce and very thin frites/fries. The sliced pork was perfectly cooked to medium rare. It was so moist and tender! There is a little bit of fat on some of the slices. The frites were good too. The French Toast, a dessert, very fluffy. It had lots of granulated pistachio on top. The Orange-Elderflower Anglaise sauce was divine! They opened Oct 2025). There is a Raw Bar where they serve all kinds of seafood, including seafood towers. The interior is darkened. There are tables, booths, and a tall long table. There is a full bar with bar counter seating. There is a standing area if you wish to only have drinks. Down a long corridor to the washroom, there are three mini stand up tables, where you can starts with drinks while waiting for a table. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are four gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking, which are free on weekends. Review 2025-253

Despite being busy, the experience never felt rushed; we were seated at the bar and felt genuinely well taken care of throughout the evening. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to guide us through the menu. This spot is perfect for date night or a chic weekend out with the girls. Menu highlights: Scallops Tare, Kewpie mayo, scallop-bacon nugget A unique and incredibly delicious first bite: rich, savoury, and memorable. Baked Oysters Vadouvan curry, crème fraîche, escargot While I love trying new dishes, this one would be a must-order every single visit. Absolutely outstanding. Secreto Frites Koji-marinated Ibérico pork, Café de Paris My first experience with this tender cut of pork, and it completely delivered. Each bite melted in your mouth. Pro tip: use the mountain of fries to scoop up the remaining sauce from the baked oyster (thank me later). Cocktails The Cocchi Americano and Wet Bandit Martini were delightful, playful, and paired beautifully with the food perfect for a celebratory girls' night toast. If you're looking for a small, thoughtfully curated dining experience with bold flavours and great energy, Les Incompétents deserves a spot at the top of your list.

The place looks like a home that was converted into a restaurant with parking in the back but once you enter, you feel like you are going into one of your Auntie's places for an actual home cooked meal. And they did not disappoint! Each dish was made to order and took a short time but you could tell it was prepared by a chef with a lot of experience and care--just looking at how the veggies were chopped/diced you can see they put their energy into each dish. The flavors were really superb and not at all overpowering and one major bonus--nothing was over salted or over oily as you might think typical Chinese food can get. Our party of 4 loved every bite and finished all our dishes, no leftovers. As you can see in the photos, they make an excellent meal. Prices are also very affordable and competitive with anything near the touristy areas. So if you want a solid, great meal prepared by a true mom & pop kitchen that feels like a home cooked meal, you really gotta try them out. I asked them how business was in summer vs winter and they said it's tough when it's winter (less tourists) but they make it work. It's also nice and quiet/intimate so you can have an actual conversation with your group rather than try to talk over some loud music at a chain restaurant! ----TL;DR---- Pros: excellent Chinese cuisine at very affordable prices and great portions. Not too salty or oily. And super nice, friendly owners who provide great service and great food. Cons: not easy to walk to from the main strip but if you have a car it's an easy drive. Skip the touristy places and come here! Bottom Line: it was the best meal we had in Niagara Falls and everyone was full and satisfied. I'd definitely go back again.

Service was slow and there was really only person trying to handle everybody. We were told to simply write down the numbers associated with the meals listed in the menu because the waiter was too busy and seemed to have limited English. Although the waiter vacuumed the floor by a previously used table he was able to get to bus or clear that table left with dishes from a previous diner. So the ambiance was marred by the lack of staff to clear the tables. We were treated with an extra dish of four hot and spicy dried shrimp and took it home because we were too full to eat any more because we still had some lobster left over.
