I suspect that it's not the sales reps' fault; I'm sure that a large part of their pay is commission based, and they are likely handed a script of sales drivel to deliver to unwitting customers, who they hope do not ask every possible question that would uncover hidden charges. Sales agent Bryce convinced my husband and me that our family phone plan (then 4 lines, $242/mo.) would not increase with the addition of an additional phone. Alas, it seemed too good to be true, and indeed it was. Our new bill is $299/mo., and we didn't even need the extra line (I took advantage of it for our 7-year-old daughter, who of course does not need a phone). When I called the store to ask why this wan't addressed, the line disconnected seven times. When I finally reached an agent, he told me that "don't handle billing questions." Do not trust anyone in this store. We will be buying out our phones and switching to Mint.

It became time for an upgrade and Michael Jurta sold me my iPhone 12 PRO MAX, and he walked me through some of the difficulties that I was experiencing (my learning curve). This is an extremely busy location for a reason! They take the time to focus on your individual needs, and over the years have earned my repeat business. As long as Libbie is there, I will continue coming to this Verizon Store location!

    We went to the Verizon store in New London at 4 PM today (February 5, 2023) to purchase a 4 mobile…read morephone plan. While the sign on the door indicated that store is opened until 6 PM on Sundays, the place was closed and locked up. There was no sign to indicate why it had closed at least two hours before the time specified on the door. This is just one of several troubling events that have occurred for us at this location. A few months ago we tried to buy a phone plan and submitted all the required information, but then were told that the forms could not be processed that day and we should come back the next day. We did. But the person working that day, who we learned was the manager, could not find the paperwork. Even a phone call to the sales person who had been working the previous day proved fruitless. A huge waste of time. Then, during this past week, when one of us stopped at the store in mid-afternoon to ask a question, the store was closed and locked up. We found a blue post-it note on the door saying the the sales person would return at 5PM. It is great that some people have done well at this store, but our experience has shown that its manager and its sales staff are unprofessional and incompetent. We had hoped to do business locally by trying to get phones for our family at this location, but we now are persuaded that we must go out of town to do so.

    I needed to get another "Ultra" fast charger for my Ultra S23 so I went to the Verizon store…read morethinking it would be a simple buy. I went to the store and asked for a Speed charger, not "Ultra" but it was understood that I wanted that fastest charger. The clerk immediately picked out the most expensive FOUR OUTLET REGULAR charger for me to buy. I asked if it was a Speed Charger, as I noticed ALL the voltages on the boxes were the same and he said "Yes". I put down the most expensive choice he deliberately chose to earn himself the biggest commission and got the single outlet one. Took it home and within seconds of plugging it in realized it was a regular charger. It did NOT make the distinctive sound OR color that a speed charger makes. How does a Verizon tech not know that a phone TELLS you when it's a speed charger or not? Didn't they know they would get busted? Anyways, brought that charger right back to Verizon store and pointed this out. They didn't have a SINGLE Speed/Ultra charger in the store! Got my money back and took my business to Best Buy on the Heights and got my Speed Charger for HALF the price of even their SINGLE outlet regular charger. I have more Technical Knowledge than most of the staff and feel like I should be working there or at least paid a stipend for doing tech support on their own products. Verizon store; here is a clue, get some Ultra chargers in your inventory and stop trying to pass more expensive LOWER voltage REGULAR chargers as Speed chargers. The screen cover they installed on my S23 was a joke as well that started coming off almost immediately. Underhanded and aggressive tactics.

    It was time to turn my beloved iPhone in for a newer model and Caitlin made it all happen…read moreseamlessly. Apple said the data transfer would be 39 minutes; it was closer to 3 hours. But, what an enjoyable time while waiting. People came in and out with a variety of problems which were fixed with humor and cheer. They tell us customers spot them in completely different states and beeline for them...."thank god you're here. I'm having a little problem with my connection...". Together, as my contacts, photos and apps were transferring we discussed all the episodes of "Yellowstone", debated whether Jamie was a good guy or a bad guy, wondered if the boy in the bunkhouse is somehow Rip's son (they resemble each other), and how those that sing on the show do have nice voices. Before you know it, everything was transferred, I had a new phone, a new screen protector, camera protector, case and charging cord. Be sure to have all your passwords--Apple ID, Verizon ID, screen ID, credit card CVV--the whole works--with you! Thanks Caitlin and Tina for a surprisingly pleasant afternoon.

    I want to give a huge shoutout to Benjamin, the assistant manager at the Rochester Verizon store. I…read morehad a complicated issue after ordering four lines online and porting three numbers from Xfinity Mobile -- my new Verizon phone kept showing the numbers as Xfinity lines. I spent hours with Verizon's online chat and even went to another store, but no one could figure out what was wrong. When I came to the Rochester location, Benjamin was the first person who truly took the time to help. He patiently dug into the problem, made multiple phone calls with different Verizon support teams, and walked me through everything step by step. He never rushed me, never passed me off, and genuinely cared about fixing the issue. Thanks to his persistence and professionalism, the problem was finally resolved. After such a frustrating experience everywhere else, Benjamin absolutely turned the day around. If you need someone knowledgeable, patient, and committed to getting things right, ask for Benjamin. He's outstanding!

We have been Verizon customers for years so the plan meant nothing to me. I just wanted to upgrade my phone and watch to newer models (currently a 13 and a 3 respectively). The young man waiting on us wouldn't let me just buy the products without upgrading my plan...to save exactly $162 for the YEAR! Um, I'm all about saving money but really...disrupt service for everyone and pay monthly instead of in full. So strange to me, he literally encouraged us to walk out and buy it elsewhere because I wouldn't change my plan. So so strange! I'm baffled!!! Verizon customer service sucks but I feel stuck because I dont want to change my phone number! ugh!!!
