I love to come here and browse for toys that are truly educational. The prices are a bit steep but the quality of what they sell is great. I also love when they have activities for kids. Lakeshore Learning in SLP is a fantastic store with a ton of different things for kids to make learning more fun. We like to avoid tablets and screens, so we are always on the lookout for interactive toys. They have a lot of tools for both math and reading as well as support for learning other languages. I used to come to Lakeshore Learning almost weekly when I was homeschooling my daughters. It was a fabulous store with so many resources we needed. They are now in or have graduated from college so I don't have a reason to go as often. However, I began creating programs for a museum and need to look for hands-on activities, art supplies, and furniture for children. We love Lakeshore Leaning for their Saturday 11am to 3pm free kids crafts. My daughter and I and been doing these for years. It's helped bring us closer together, AND it's really helped me learn how to do crafts with her. We have also purchased quite a bit of their child development stuff. It's not cheap but you can usually find coupons to save 20-30%. Also I would gladly pay $5-$10 to have my daughter do their Saturday craft (we usually do it together to have fun), but sine it doesn't cost anything, I can use that money saved to buy stuff in the store (but their is no obligation to buy anything, in order to do the free Saturday craft). Walked in and began grabbing items. No one greeted me or offered help. Meanwhile, another person breezed in and got all the attention. After about 20 mins, as I piled all my goods on the floor (since I could not hold them all), an employee finally approached me asking if I needed anything. I said, "I'd really like some help, if that's possible." She then went into full professional mode: helped me carry; looked up my account; searched for discounts; etc. The selection was amazing. Clean, organized, fully stocked. I won't be revisiting anytime soon because of how I was ignored. Color of my skin? TBD. read more

Went in today to get a couple of items laminated. I had no idea how much it would cost or how to operate the machine. Martha helped me every step of the way and informed me if I signed up for the free email club, I could get 10 cents off per linear foot. She was so helpful and made the process effortless.
