Gorgeous and peaceful location, perfect for a celebration of any kind. I booked Meyer Hall for an engagement party in March 2026 for 95 guests (max capacity is 250). They also offer smaller rooms for groups of 30 to 90. I loved the spacious layout of Meyer Hall, which is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen. You can decorate however you like, provided you don't attach anything to the walls/ceiling or use open flames, confetti, or rice. We used tablecloths, flowers, LED votives, and small candies, which elevated the space to a classy, elegant, wedding-like feel. There is also plenty of free parking just a short walk from the hall, making it easy to navigate for guests in heels or those using strollers and wheelchairs. The Logistics: The 4-hour rental (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) automatically included two additional hours for setup and one hour for breakdown. I added tables, chairs, a stage, and multimedia equipment to my reservation. A security guard was required, along with a catering fee and a cleaning deposit. I did not rent the kitchen, as our caterers handled everything on the patio. The total came to $1,510, which I found very reasonable and affordable. I was also pleased to see the security deposit returned to my credit card less than a week later. My main contact, Michelle, was incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire planning process. Pro-Tips for Planning: -Insurance: You'll need one-day event insurance (I used Markel for $75). Note that providing alcohol requires additional coverage and potentially an extra security guard. -The Tour: You must tour the space with a staff member at least 45 days before your event and prior to booking. Since this is a busy community center, tours are only offered on very specific days/times. -Breakdown: The rental requires you to clear, wipe, and stack all furniture, take trash to the dumpster, and sweep/mop. This wasn't a problem for us, but it's an important detail if you're planning a formal wedding! The Highlights: My favorite feature was the view of the beautiful lake and local birds. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a huge relief during a recent heat wave. Our dessert vendor, Cabetos Pops, served guests on the patio starting at 6:30 PM. This coincided perfectly with "golden hour," making for a truly magical moment. While the lakefront is open to the public, our area still felt private and secluded. We also had Taquizas José cater delicious tacos on the patio; our guests raved about the food! (I highly recommend checking out their Yelp pages for my full 5-star reviews). Minor Hiccup: The only subpar aspect was the multimedia setup. The Bluetooth speakers didn't work for about half the party. I had scheduled a time two weeks prior to test the equipment, and the battery was dead even then. My fiancé and I had curated a thoughtful playlist, so it was disappointing the device wasn't charged. To their credit, the staff worked hard to resolve it and ensured it functioned once charged. My suggestion: Kindly and clearly remind the staff to charge the speakers a few days before your event. All in all, I really enjoyed hosting our friends and family here and would not hesitate to book again. They are undergoing some construction this year which may affect lake views, so just check with the staff before booking. read more

We had our wedding at the Lakeside Community Center on September 13th and it seriously rocked! Here's why: 1) The venue is stunning. We had the ceremony at 5:30pm when the colors are getting crisp and the mountain cascades around the lake to make the whole thing magical. The ducks are a classic addition to any wedding. It wasn't too hot, and the room was perfect for us, which leads to the next point. 2) The reception room (the Moreno room) was the perfect size for us (80 peeps) and had excellent capabilities, with a good sound system, epic views, nice AC, mics and screen projectors which the staff were excellent at setting up. 3) The staff. From the moment we booked this place, the staff have been first class in facilitating the drawn-out process of wedding prep. We were never made to feel like a bother even though we kept wanting to see the room etc, and they had so many helpful suggestions. There was so much that we were allowed to do compared to other venues we looked at. Finally, on the actual night, the staff member assigned to our party was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, despite us being in a whirlwind. I was so impressed with the staff! 4) The price. We looked everywhere. There was no where that even came close to the value we got having our wedding here. We felt VIP the whole time, and had an idyllic experience. Value for money fo sho! This is a great place to hold a wedding reception. The parking is great and the center itself is always kept nice and clean. The entire staff is absolutely great, but I want to send a shout out to one staff members in particular....Alex Bryan. What an amazing young man! He is helpful, kind and the hardest working person I have ever seen. He is always thoughtful and I have never seen anyone work as fast and as efficient as he does. They are lucky to have him... We had our wedding there on February 23rd and it's a beautiful place that fit everyone we had but the deposit to hold the place it so hard to get back and get into contact with anyone in charge we called to have our deposit back and since we no longer have the card used to pay we had to wait for the check. Okay that's fine the manager Ashley said it would take 6-8 weeks to receive.... it's been almost 3 months and when we call for some reason they don't pick up the phone and that has been another issue we've had with them and I know we should get our full deposit back we left that place exactly as it was given the manager didn't mention anything over the phone, they have not tried to reach out to us either I'm just so confused as to why they aren't on top of it, if it was their money they wouldn't let it slide. They used to have great a great staff at this place, then a few years back they made some changes and brought in new people to run tha facility and it all went to hell. Rude, dismissive, and frequently incompetent. One word of caution, watch the finances if you choose to do business with them! read more

We recently used Lakeside Community Center for our daughter's sweet 16 party. We had an excellent experience. Every person we interacted with was very professional and helpful as we went there several times to take measurements and see other setups of the room. They always answered our questions. We had checked other venues and Lakeside Community Center was extremely reasonable compared to other venues. The setting is right on the lake. They have a very large kitchen, fridge and freezer. We paid extra for the media screen. The picture quality and sound was excellent. The chairs were nice. Some other venues had gross chairs. They allow you to choose between rectangle or round tables. They give you a paper to design your desired layout of the room. When we arrived to set up and decorate, the entire room was setup according to the paper I completed. They had employees available during our event for help with anything we needed. Our room included access to the outdoor patio off of the room. This venue made our daughter's party look like a SUPER SWEET 16, but the price did not break the bank. One recommendation is that if you use a DJ make sure he has his own lighting equipment. Turning the lights down is medium then completely dark. The entire room does not dim. We could not have been happier with our experience. read more

One of my good friends had a wedding reception here, they rented out the audiotorium(?). Place was great for it. But the Staff never the let caterer in till late, so food got out late. I was told they had the place till 11p and they kicked us out at 930p so that wasnt pleasant. 3 stars mainly for the venue and -2 for the staff. read more
