The view of the lake is obstructed by vines & foliage. We were not sure about the boat house and if we could fish there. There is a lack of thought to what a customer may want while staying here. I had to call the manager at least 5 times. The bed caused my back to hurt both nights. Not much to do around there unless you have your own boat. It was good to get away and I was able to do my run. The manager was very nice and responsive. There is a lot of potential here if the effort is put forth.

There's no staff on premises until after 2:30. Check in and out are electronic. They are renovating downtown so parking is limited when workmen are there but we found parking close by over the three days we were here. We requested room tidy up one time and it wasn't done. I'd suggest actually talking to Michelle or onsite staff about any issues. Room was clean and modern. Comfy bed and towels. Yes, walls seem thin. We didn't have any issues. They have a little express market store to purchase snacks down in the lobby which is extremely convenient, and the staff is very kind. We arrived at 1:00 and tried to get early check in but they said the rooms weren't ready. We would have loved that to be an option, but that wouldn't keep us from coming back. The couch was stained with some sooty deposit and they didn't take care of it, but otherwise I have no complaints. Parking was free and plentiful. There was a pool I didn't use, and a gym that I did. Service was cordial and the breakfasts were the usual ones offered at Holiday Inn's worldwide. Confession - I have started to enjoy (crave?!) their biscuits and gravy. Will stay here again when I'm back in town.
