What Went Well Is The Shopping, Got Me A Brand New Record Player!…read moreAnd There Are even Cheap Stuff! I Recommend Walmart To You If You Want!

Here I am. 7 years later, writing another review about Wal Mart. Big box store. I feel like it…read moreshould just "be" and that should be that, but there is genuinely a lot of good to say. I am an online shopper, and I do curbside pickup. I'm also currently a Walmart+ member. Walking around a store that large is just too much for me these days. I'll start off with the only two negative points, and they aren't enough for me to knock off a star. 1 - If you use the delivery option for groceries, you'll be expected to tip because a third party usually delivers those. For other simple things, if you are a Walmart+ member, you can get same day or next day delivery of some things, which is awesome. 2 - Out of stocks. Walmart is the boss when it comes to store brand. Kroger brand is usually trash, and if it's not trash, it's still second to Wal Mart brand. I have come to really enjoy their breakfast sandwiches. Unfortunately, everyone else has also, so when I order they are usually out of stock. OK. Now on to the rest! Again, this is basing it as an online shopper. The online shopping is pretty good, especially as a Walmart+ customer. I can usually get same day pickup if I order early. The system isn't always accurate on what's in stock, but it's pretty good. If you keep your phone handy, you can accept or reject substitutions. I recommend you keep an eye out, because they often cost more, and sometimes the option they choose is too different. The folks who work this are always SO friendly. It is so nice when I get to interact with them! They offer a bag free option for curbside!!! This is a HUGE deal. When I ordered from Kroger, I couldn't even get them to use paper bags. With Wal Mart, I can bring shopping bags or boxes and just have everything put in there. Less plastic, less pollution! I love that they do that!! Returns and refunds are SO easy. If you pickup your groceries and something is damaged or about to expire, you just let them know in the app. If an item is damaged or something you don't need, you can start the return process and also do that curbside. I got a cereal storage container that was absolute garbage. I started a return, and the person who handled it was so friendly! With a store this large, ordering online and picking up is such a help. If you do try the Walmart+, there is a nice benefit of choosing between Peacock and Paramount, but don't expect it to replace Amazon. I have looked for a number of oddball items on the Walmart website only to give up and order it from Amazon. If you are conveniently located, give their online ordering a try. If you go online and order side by side with Kroger, you'll probably notice the savings add up quickly. The last time I did, it didn't take me long to have a $10 difference. Inside experiences are surely different, but the online system is tops!

They have many aisles of boxed, canned, and bottled foods and ingredients. They even have a sandwich shop that makes delicious sandwiches and sides. It was such a fun trip and it also felt good to know we are supporting a small business. Most of the employees were friendly, especially the cashier. He had a happy demeanor and made us feel welcome as travelers. I would definitely stop and try a sandwich and some of their sides.

Anyone who shops here knows unfriendly, rude cashiers are a long-standing norm. But this goes far beyond that. I witnessed deli employees openly mocking and laughing at a customer for wearing glasses, including using fake voices and calling them "nerdy." It was cruel, public bullying of someone who appeared to have an eye disability. The stuff of Disney schoolyard villains. Truly an insane thing to witness from grown men in work uniform on the clock. Here's the really disturbing thing... Leadership didn't even care. I reported it immediately and followed up many times (phone, email, website form, social) asking for leadership to respond. The marketing manager assured me that leadership was well aware of the incident. Two weeks later, I still haven't gotten a single response. I won't support a business that tolerates bullying and ignores people who speak up against it. Each has a Little Italy and other neighborhoods where you can experience the food, traditions, and culture of different communities. That's probably one of my biggest complaints about Indianapolis, there just isn't anything. Then you find this little Italian market tucked away in a Bloomington strip mall. Being Sicilian and Italian, every time I head down to Lake Monroe to take the boat out, Little Italy Market has become a mandatory stop to fill the cooler. The Turkey and the Many Meats are my go-to sandwiches, and they never disappoint. Everything is fresh, the portions are huge, and these are easily some of the best deli sandwiches I've found anywhere in Indiana. I actually find myself craving them when I'm back home in Indy. If I lived in Bloomington, I'd definitely be a regular for the Italian grocery selection too. But for me, the sandwiches are the star of the show. The family running the place is always incredibly friendly, and they're more than happy to add or change anything on a sandwich to make it exactly how you want it. Little Italy Market is one of those locally owned places you hope sticks around forever. Great food, huge sandwiches, friendly people, and a little taste of the Italian neighborhood culture I miss. I'm literally writing this on a Friday morning waiting for noon to roll around so they can open before I head down to the lake. That probably says everything you need to know. Easy 9.3/10 If you're in Bloomington, this place is absolutely worth a stop.
