More to the point, they have all my favorite pasta shapes that Kroger doesn't carry (at competitive prices), a lot of good olive oil, and tons of brands of canned tomatoes. This place is the just the best! My husband is Italian, takes his cooking very seriously, and knows quality meats and cheese. He was in heaven from the minute he walked in the door, found items he hadn't seen since living in Europe. Owner is great fun, gave samples, and chatted while he prepared our subs, which were FANTASTIC! Let me start by saying the sandwich I had was AMAZING. I got the coppa with fresh mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes. Delicious! Now, the rest of the store is hit or miss. I bought some pizza sauce, some San Marzano tomatoes, and some 00 flour. All outdated by a year or more. An extremely cute couple runs this place. My boyfriend who goes to Indiana told me a couple of his friends get sandwiches here, so we decided to get some. The couple who owns this shop are extremely friendly and eager to talk to the students. We got their sandwiches and the wife gave us samples of the meat we ordered, which was incredibly nice. Would love to give less than 1 star. My spouse and I were simply looking through the store and talking to each other. We touched maybe 4 things AT MOST, to see what they were and what was hiding behind them. The older Italian man up front decided to rudely ask what I was even needing (not wanting) to buy and complained about us touching things and said he did not like that and that we needed to leave. I'm sorry, customers can't touch your fucking items in your store!? There's things behind others, how the fuck you going to see it without moving things out of the way. Me and my wife had never been to an Italian Market store. We love italian food and were excited to check it out and buy a few things to take home. The moment we walk in we see the store clerk we greet him. He doesn't greet us back at all anf we start browsing the store, looking at all the pasta, sauces and ingredients they have to offer. We occasionally pick product off the shelf to read more about it and look for the price. We found some really good looking italan cookies we put back and were planning on picking up to buy on our way out. We're almost to the end of the isles and we hear the store clerk just yell at us "get out". I was confused. It there was still half an hour before closing time. I ask him, "are you closing"? He yells "No! You're just touching everything! And I haven't seen you keep one thing you picked up. Get the F*** out!" I had never been treated that way or been told this was a problem at any store before. If he had told us kindly, "please rstop touching/picking up the products if you don't have the intent of buying it", sure, we would have complied. But with no warning he just told us to F*** off. I don't know if the guy was just used to people coming in and going and was impatient seeing us browse without picking something out quickly. Or if he was just having a bad day and let it out on us. Either way, we're never coming back. And the experience was so memorable, we'll surely be telling all of our friends about it. read more

We were greeted with cheese samples of some amazing 18 month aged Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese when we walked up to the deli! We ordered the "Meat Sandwich" after reading all the reviews and it did not disappoint! As the lady(pretty sure one of the owners) was slicing the meat and cheese for the sandwich, she presented a plate full of samples of everything on the sandwich to try while we waited! I only wish we had not instantly started eating this amazing sandwich so that I could have gotten pics first! The food and service was amazing! He has real Parm Reggiano for $12 a pound, and loads of quality European foodstuffs you can't find elsewhere in Bloomington.
